| Daffodil Poems & A Steamy Photo... | | 2008-04-12 19:14:20 | | Spring has sprung and the English Courtesan is about to go out making merry in the April sunshine! Before she goes however she wants to share a little of the joys of Spring with her readers. Hence the photo of a daffodil, taken by the English Courtesan's own fair hand! Good, isn't it? What d'you mean 'not particularly'?The English Courtesan is rather proud of this daffodil. Oh all right, all right, she knows it's just a daffodil. It's not even a technically accomplished daffodil but the English Courtesan is still inordinately proud of it. Is that or is it not a useful skill for an escort? So in a feeble attempt at coherence, the English Courtesan thought she'd find a daffodil poem to go with her steamy soft-focus daffoporno shoot today. That way the readers will have something to play with other than their good selves while she's away. The English Courtesan has two favourite daffodi | | By: Diary Of An English Courtesan | | |

| My First Daffodil | | 2008-04-03 06:00:40 | | My First DaffodilWell I have been waiting a couple of months for this one. Finally, yesterday, one of the Daffodils at work bloomed. Later in the day I found a couple of more blooming but this is the first one that I saw. It is a Dwarf Daffodil, only about 3-4 inches tall. I had to lie down on the adjacent granite walk to get this picture. There are several hundred Dwarf Daffodils in the garden, probably about 25 different cultivars. I love them all and think their smaller stature makes them interesting. I plan on doing a lot of Daffodil and Narcissus photography this spring and this was just a teaser. I got the picture below from a group of King Alfred Daffs that are just starting to bloom.I want to thank everyone who has been visiting. It is a wonderful experience to share my botanical adventures with all of you. I don’t always get to respond to comments that readers leave here but I always read them and appreciate them. I noticed that I have been getting a lot of visits from the c | | By: Digital Flower Pictures.com | | |

| Daffodil Gardens | | 2007-03-16 06:00:00 | | ledger-enquirerThe thousands of yellow and white daffodils that blanket a long stretch of hillside within Betsy Leebern's sprawling Green Island Hills garden herald the onset of spring.
Leebern, who has been building the 12 1/2-acre garden that surrounds her home for the 13 years.
She had tried planting the hill in wildflowers in years prior, but wasn't pleased with the results. So three years ago she, with the help of local landscaper Pete Page, planted 69,000 daffodil bulbs. The next year, they added 20,000 bulbs to the crop -- enough to create a thick blanket of yellow and white blooms... | | By: The Flower Expert - Flowers Encyclopedia | | |
