| Missing Davao Local News | | 2007-12-26 06:47:00 | | Since I my laptop a few months ago, I got addicted watching local news from ABS-CBN Davao. I admit that with all of constant bombardment of Nihongo in the office, English with some of my colleagues and Filipino with some of my chatmates, I miss listening with Bisaya news. I am proud that I am a Bisaya and a proud Mindanaoan from Davao City.I could remember when I was still in Davao City, I would always watch local news for me to keep updated with local news. And now that I am in foreign land, I crave for more information on what is happening in my hometown. I am glad that ABS-CBN Interactive gives the stream to everyone for free. | The Davao Blogspace is temporarily down | | 2007-07-10 10:46:41 | | I’m really sorry about this, but I did a monumental clusterf–k when I was upgrading DavaoBlogs.com. As a result, the aggregator site’s down and inaccessible for a few more days. There’s more. The Davao Blogs Directory (http://dir.davaoblogs.com) is also down, because it lives in the same server.
What happened was, I upgraded the WordPress installation from v2.0.8 to v2.1.3, without deactivating the plugins. Next thing I knew, the PHP scripts were wreaking havoc all over the place. Good thing that I was able to keep a very recent backup of the site! And then I read somewhere that WP 2.1.3 isn’t a very stable release…. That’s what I get for not reading reviews first. (I can almost hear my friends chanting, “RTFM! RTFM!”)
So, please bear with me for a few more days. The Davao Blogspace will be up and running again soon enough, on a faster and more powerful server!

Bad news for 5 existing call centers in Davao. G-Com Ltd. and Link 2 Support to name a couple. With the entry of these big call centers in Davao, existing call centers are now wary of widely known phenomena in Manila Call Center circle known as "poaching". Poaching is "light" term for a more appropriate word called "pirating". With the entry of these big cellcenter, there is a great need for them to establish a good foothold and therefore need to acquire services of experienced callcenter people.
