I folded the bag and handed it back. (When I've handed bags back in the past in grocery and convenience stores, I've often seen the clerk try to throw the bag away! That means I have to take the time to say, 'Don't throw that away! Save it for the next customer!" On my end: I should buy a decent reusable coffee cup and bring it with me when I go out.Then I stopped at Stop and Shop for milk, cantalope and flowers and decided it was a good time to buy a couple of their cheap and sturdy recycle bags. As I fumbled for my wallet, I saw that the bagboy was packing everything-- recycled bags included!-- into a plastic bag. Gw nonton sama istri gue, biasa acara malam mingguan nonton midnight di Blitz Megaplex Grand Indonesia.Kali ini gw have a chance to watch Die Hard. To think that Live Free or Die Hard is currently rated at an 8.1/10 on IMDb, or that the film regularly scores four out of five stars is all a bit disconcerting. Because, really, there isn't all that much to crow about.I guess, in some respects, I can understand it. After all, this is the fourth in the series, and number fours aren't typically very representative of the overall quality of a franchise. The laundry list of fatal fours is long and undistinguished: Batman & Robin, Lethal Weapon 4, The Phantom Menace. Not a decent film amongst them. So, in comparison, Live Free looks like a masterpiece.For a mindless summer popcorn flick, it's pretty effective - just be sure to remember the "no mind" portion. Remember the “Simpsons” episode where Bart watches 'Die Hard' jump out the window? Live Free or Die Hard--the title, incidentally, has nothing to do with the film's content--is the first one where I expected McClane's nickname to be 'Die Hard.' They come close in terms of self-reference....
Still, as a Die Hard movie, it's about as good as a Die Hard movie featuring Bruce Willis versus a fighter jet is going to get. It's really well cast, which carries a lot of the film. Much like the third one, it follows the short codas of the first two--which are fine for those (i.e. with Bonnie Bedelia--has everyone else forgotten the first two Die Hard movies are like a Thin Man on angel dust?)--but the movie doesn't have a closed narrative. It has a fake ending, not going on long enough. The immediate action is resolved, then it just stops.
