    political discussion
    2008-05-19 22:36:54
Are you a big fan of politics and issues about ecology, sociaty and government? Here's a great political discussion and philosophy website that discusses political and social options. Stateless Society is an article repository with on-going discussions of alternative government, no government, and alternative currency ideas. It's a pretty site, very easy to navigate and very interesting read. It discusses the awesome benefits of life. I found myself agreeing to some of the points written in their articles. It's interesting reading some thoughts similar to what you have in mind. It is true that corruption is a problem in our governments, even from the smallest position available. I found it to be very interesting and thought provoking. There are some of the ideas presented on the site that I really really like. Check out their website and take a visit to their forum and enjoy browsing. I think we can we can live in a nonviolent world. It is definitely worth a visit.

Teachers Flirting with Students is Wrong, Looking At Teenager Discussion Boards, Some Wrote About How Teachers Are Flirting With Them

I was looking at teenager discussion boards to learn more about what is going with teens. While reading all of this they wrote about all the normal teenager topics. Some wrote about how teachers are flirting and stare at them in sexual ways. When I was reading that it made me very sad and surprised. The teens wrote about it like it is a normal thing or something. That is sad it is as if they have come so used to it or something. To the teenager it is just part of high school life now that is so

10 tips to get noticed in your GD (Group Discussion)
    2008-04-16 04:30:00
~ Read voraciously: Make a habit of reading voraciously on every subject. This will keep you ready for any topic for a discussion in GD. Your knowledge is your most important weapon in a discussion.~ Initiate the discussion: Most of us have a misconception that initiating the discussion would give you an advantage over others. It does give you an advantage but only if you know the subject well and have something relevant to start the discussion otherwise it is a disadvantage. For instance, when a group was given the subject "Is capital punishment right?" some members of the group heard the word punishment and jumped at starting the discussion with out understanding the meaning of capital punishment. The evaluators kept listening for two minutes after which they intervened and asked the group if they knew the meaning of capital punishment. The members who initiated were quiet, looking at each other's faces. That is when a silent member of the group got up and explained the meaning of the

    First Pick Discussion
    2008-04-15 15:03:00
I think there's a lot of important stuff going on with the Dolphins' #1 overall pick. The draft is only 11 days away and we don't have a deal set with any of the available players yet. Many have suggested we go with Matt Ryan, a ridiculous choice that only a desperate front office would make. Others want to trade down, the most logical option, but definitely not the most realistic. Some have even suggested passing on the pick to save some money. I've somewhat advocated that. Not necessary condoned it, but I think it was worth looking into. You should read a very good piece by Omar Kelly at the Sun Sentinel, maybe some of the best stuff I've seen him do. He shoots down the idea of letting the pick slide and offers half a dozen very valid points, one of which I have mentioned before: even if we slide to 3 or 4, that guy's agent will want #1 money or close to it.Now comes the news from Armando Salguero that the Dolphins are pitching a discount deal to Jake Long. They aren't interested in g

    2008-04-15 14:36:29
As many of you know I work part time at a bookstore because (a) I don't make enough with RRS to support all my bills and (b) I love books and enjoy selling them to people.  Well, yesterday morning as I was helping somebody in the religion section, a customer asked me for books on illnesses.  I walked her over to the section and pointed out some books of interest to her, and as I was walking away she stated affirmatively that she had managed to get her son to read, and that her job was accomplished for the day even if she didn't find the book she was looking for.  After suggesting that I probably read a lot of fiction because I work in a bookstore, I told her that I spent most of my time reading ancient fiction, being that my full time job was that I was a historian. read more

FMS 2008 analysis and Paper Discussion, Cutoffs
    2008-01-13 21:44:00
FMS 2008 is over and now we know everything about the fourth section. Thankfully, there were no surprises as far as the fourth section is concerned. But, I think people at FMS like surprises. Probably the reason, there was lot of ambiguity in FMS paper. How can you stop wondering at that rectangle question, 10% decrease in both dimensions or the one where the kid was supposed to divide half of a number by 6 and 4 and he accidently divided it by 5. Come to think of it, errors in the question paper were just an extension of Admit card fiasco.e.g.1. by how much area will increase/decrease of length and bredth of rectangle is decresed by 10%options :a. increase 1%b. Decrease 1%c. Decrease 10%4. no changeI guess the correct answer shd b 19% decrease2. there was a QA question whch had 2 printed instead of root2.. This Q has root3 - root2 in numerotr and root3 + 2 in denominatorDid u ppl find ne more mistakes?? What the method FMS uses for wrong questions?was disturbed 4 times by the invigilator...1-write name and sign2-show me your hall ticket...checks it...then he signs on it3-one more signature of his....he had forgotten it before4-left thumb impression......what do they think....r we some terrorists who will put anthrax in the paper or something???????????DI and DS were completly missing which was a surprise , RC's seemed reasonable and I attempted maximum questions here.Quant was simple enough but needed good selection and an eye for questions with mistakes and LR was not tough at all but time consuming for most.If you people think that this thumb impression thing was acting like some speed breaker... figure this out.I am from Ahmedabad and here these people did atleast 2 announcements on speakers. Man it was horrible. Exam is going on and they are announcing something for students that1. you must give the thumb impression otherwise we will not send your answer sheet to delhi... I've writen it in a concise manner... also they did this announcement in English, Hindi

[MyTuneBD.Com] Round Table Discussion on Transport Planning of Dhaka city
    2008-01-10 09:06:55
Respected Colleague/ Friend, You know that the 20-years Strategic Transport Plan (STP) prepared/submitted by DTCB is under active consideration of the government for implementation. However, the steps being taken is creating mixed reaction among the people due to lack of transparency in the process. At times it appears to be against the spirit of the STP. Bangladesh Poribesh Andolon (BAPA) has always demanded a well planned, affordable and environmental friendly transport system of Dhaka city that is consistent with other plans of the city. Towards this end a round table discussion has been organized as under: Topic : Environment-friendly Fuel-saving and Pro-people Transport system – Present and Future of Dhaka City Venue : National Press Club, VIP Lounge Date : 12 January 2007 (Saturday) Time : 3:00 pm Prof. Muzaffer Ahmed, President, BAPA will preside over the program. Dr. Mahabubul Bari, Transport Planner working in UK and a keen observer of the transport system of Dhaka city will initiate the discussion with a small presentation. Eminent scholars, researchers and professionals of the transport sector and senior citizens from the environment arena will participate in the discussion. Adequate time will be allocated for open discussion. You are warmly welcome to participate in the program. With sincere regards, Dr. Abdul Matin General Secretary, BAPA 8128024, 01819-223343 Bangladesh Poribesh Andolon (BAPA) 9/12 Block-D, Lalmatia, Dhaka-1207 _________________________________________________ __._,_.___ Messages in this topic (1) Reply (via web post) | Start a new topic Messages | Files | Photos | Links | Database

Competitor Analysis Discussion with WebProNews in Las Vegas
    2008-01-04 16:39:00
The following interview was conducted at PubCon Las Vegas and it focused on StepForth competitor analysis/competitor intelligence services. In hindsight I didn't give much away in the terms of competitive analysis and frankly the interview could have gone better (what with the sun glare and a lil'memory loss). So feel free to view this and then follow it up with my notes below where I will provide a couple examples of the strategies/resources used in our basic and advanced competitor intelligence reports. Additional Competitor Analysis TipsWe provide a listing of our recommended competitor research tools which Mike McDonald kindly previewed the link to but let me give you a few more tips... it is the least I can do if you watched my interview ;-)Use Technorati to determine the networks that publish your competitors content. Often I identify some great sites that are more than happy to publish the material my client has... which in turn can build valuable links.Use Compete.com (the one I forgot in the interview) to get a hint of the keywords your competitors may be focusing on and to gauge their success in each one. Please note, however, that I definitely do not recommend accepting everything from Compete.com as writ; accept it with a grain of salt because their intelligence network is far from flawless.Use OptiLink to create a maximum list of backlinks for each competitor using Yahoo and have the system fetch PageRank and Alexa ratings. Then copy the results into Excel and then sort the results from highest Alexa rating to lowest first and then highest PR to lowest as the secondary sort rule . Now you will have the beginnings of a very useful list of likely respectable sites. Review each to determine which ones may accept your content/links as well.Note: I sort by Alexa first because Google's paid-link PR penalty has caused many high quality resources to falsely look like low quality ones. Here is more information on StepForth's SEO research services that focus o

'Evolution - Where Darwin meets Lamarck?' places an emphasis on concepts and discoveries consistent with the possible existence of testable internal evolutionary mechanisms and alternative (non-creationist) explanations for 'problem areas' of conventional evolutionary theory. In their paper "The Spandrels of San Marco and the Panglossian Paradigm" Gould and Lewontin briefly described the European concept of Bauplan ('bodyplan') which, in its 'strong' form, speculates:"But the important steps of evolution, the construction of the Bauplan itself and the transition between Baupläne, must involve some other unknown, and perhaps 'internal,' mechanism."An internal mechanism cannot be 'mystical' simply because, if one exists, then it would be testable. This suggests the concept ought to evoke no greater uncertainty than appropriate to the words of Einstein: "If we knew what we were doing, we wouldn't call it research, would we?".technorati tags: Baupläne, bauplan, darwin, lamarc
