The Cubs jumped out to an early 4-0 lead on Thursday night. Kosuke Fukudome hit his 4th home run of the year and his first on the road for the game's first run. Aramis Ramirez drove in the second run on a ground out to short and Mark DeRosa hit is 7th home run in the 2-run 4th. Ryan Dempster doubled and scored on a 2-out RBI single by Ryan Theriot.
Dempster was very sharp early on, with a lot of help from his defense. Jim Edmonds turned in two game changing catches but the Dodgers scored a pair in the 5th to cut the Cubs lead to 4-2. Jeff Kent hit the first of two solo home runs in the 6th and tied the game in the 8th off of Bobby Howry.

Se marcha Genevieve, que deja que Pelléas lleve a Mélisande al castillo. En los breves momentos en que quedan solos se manifiesta el amor que ha brotado entre ellos.ACTO II.- Pelléas y Mélisande están juntos al lado de una fuente en un jardín sombreado. Mélisande quiere tocar el agua, pero no puede alcanzarla. Está jugando con el anillo que le regaló Golaud y de repente el anillo cae al agua y la dama ya no puede recuperarlo. Pregunta a Pelléas qué le dirá a Golaud y él le responde: "La verité" ("La verdad").Ahora en una sala del castillo, Golaud yace en la cama, sufrió un accidente mientras cabalgaba, a mediodía, justo a la misma hora en que Mélisande perdió el anillo. Junto a él, su esposa trata de confortar al herido. Él se da cuenta de repente de que Mélisande está llorando; en respuesta a las amables preguntas de Golaud, la esposa dice que se siente oprimida en los tristes parajes del castillo y le pide que la saque de allí. Él no quiere separarse de aquellas suaves trenzas ("Je les noue, je les noue" "Voy a enlazarlas", canta). Se da cuenta entonces de que se ha enganchado en las ramas de un árbol; llega entonces Golaud y les dice que dejen de jugar como niños a esas horas de la noche.Goulad lleva a Pelléas a los húmedos subterráneos del castillo y sale después con él al exterior. Delante del castillo, Golaud, atormentado por los celos y la sospecha, pregunta a su hijo Yniold qué hacen Pelléas y Mélisande cuando están juntos. La respuesta del niño es inocente: hablan sobre una puerta, o sobre una luz, o sobre cómo ha crecido Yniol; una vez, dice, se besaron, cuando estaba lloviendo. Nada hay, pues, para que Golaud se angustie, pero tampoco nada para que se tranquilice. Aparece una luz en la cámara de Mélisande, y Golaud alza a Yniold para que pueda ver lo que ocurre. Pelléas está allí, dice; los dos están mirándose; no están cerca el uno del otro; después, el niño pide a su padre que lo deje en el suelo: Golaud así lo hace y el niño se marcha.ACTO IV.- Pelléas y Mélisande se han encontrado en una habitación del castillo. El le dice a ella que ha estado con su enfermo padre, que se encuentra ahora muy mejorado. El padre le ha dicho que haga un viaje. Llega entonces Golaud con sangre en la frente. Dirigiéndose agriamente a Mélisande, le pregunta por su espada. Y habla sobre sus grandes y bellos ojos; Arkel ve en ellos solamente una "gran inocencia". Pero Golaud se burla de esa "inocencia". Cada vez más irritado, toma finalmente a Mélisande por el cabello, la coloca de rodillas y la arrastra por la estancia en un rapto de apasionada y celosa furia. Arkel le detiene; Golaud se calma de repente, mientras Mélisande solloza desesperadamente: "Je ne suis pas heureuse" ("Yo no soy feliz"). Junto a la fuente, en el parque, Yniold está jugando. Se escucha el balido de las ovejas del rebaño que, conducido por un pastor, pasa cerca de allí: de repente las ovejas callan, mientras el pastor las lleva a un lugar distinto del usual: van al matadero. Sale Yniold y llega Pelléas, hablando para sí mismo; comprende ahora que él y Mélisande están profundamente enamorados y que él debe marcharse lo más lejos posible de allí, para vivir solamente con la memoria de su amada. Lately I have been extremely burned out. I've reached the point where I hardly want to deal with anything that involves any kind of stress. There has been a lot of drama in my life recently and I've been dealing with it the best I can.
I find that my emotions are all out of whack and I can't even enjoy outings or things that would usually be fun to me like being crafty or taking photos. I need more time away, the stress I'm under is affecting everything. If I can get a guest blogger I'll be able to continue my blogging schedule fine, otherwise I'm going to have trouble keeping up.
What I need to do is get my heart, mind, and soul back into shape. So I need another breather. This time I don't know how long it will be for. Hopefully not too long. To everyone I know, keep in touch by email. :D Also, if anyone wants to keep up with new photography being uploaded, go here.

No surprise here, its common for the team with the #1 pick to try to get a deal done before the draft. Rumor has it, that the Raiders have made a "low ball" offer to Quinn, since he is the least likely of the 3 to go #1. If true, the dilemma for Quinn is to decide if he wants to get paid on the low side as a #1, or get paid a "normal" amount for being drafted at some lower position--possible very low if both the Lions and Browns pass on him.Normally you would think that the players agent, having their clients best interests in mind, would never advise the player to take a "low ball" offer. Here's where things get interesting. Quinn is represented by CAA sports agenty who also represents Adrian Peterson. So in theory, it would be in CAA's best interest to have Quinn take the offer and go at #1, so that Peterson might get picked by the Browns at #3. Before I go on any further, if you don't know already, I'm not exactly a computer expert and don't know much about computers beyond the basic stuff. This horrid tale begins with my CD-ROM drive no longer functioning. Now my computer is a little more than five years old, but for some reason, it can't even play DVDs and I've been thinking of getting a DVD drive for a while anyways so this gave me an excuse to get a CD/DVD drive combo that all the new computers now have. So I skipped along to the neighbourhood Future Shop, a place where they over-charge you for the same metal crap you get everywhere else. Now I'm aware of the red-uniformed vultures (also known as salespeople) who prey on computer idiots like me. They had an internal drive for $60 and an external drive connected via USB cable for $70. Ohhhh the external drive, what a beautiful thing, what a wonderful thought! I must admit, my pulse quickened at the thought of not having to open up my computer and mess around with the inside, which always makes me uneasy. But... (there's always a but) the thought of paying seventy bucks is not a very appealing thought. So as usual, I asked around a few friends who were better with computers. They advised me to get an internal drive since it would be faster and to go to this store that sells everything factory-direct. So I went there today and got an internal drive for $25. I thought "This is great! Same product for a fraction of the cost!" Boy...this is where the trouble began. I have a HP Pavillion 7917 with its stupid goddamned plastic outercase and a spare space for an extra drive. So first, I started off with trying to take my original drive out.
