    Flashback: Eagles Chiefs 2005
    2008-07-16 22:29:56
This was a great game. In a season full of turmoil, the week 4 game against the Kansas City Chiefs was an all time classic. It is a very enjoyable game to watch despite the fact that TO was still an Eagle. Hollis Thomas was starting at DT, Keith Adams was the WILL Linebacker, Michael Lewis [...]

Documentary Dispels Eagles Fans Negative Reputation
    2008-07-01 18:28:10
Last year a Chicago Bears fan decided to film his experience at a Bears Eagles game in Philadelphia. The basic idea of the video, is to really see if he would get killed by Eagles fans wearing a Brian Urlacher jersey at the Linc. The home made film starts off bashing Eagles fans, and basically listing off [...]

    Fly With Eagles
    2008-07-01 10:00:00
A well-known business leader commented on the winners and, the losers in his field. "The winners fly with eagles." he said, "and the losers run with turkeys."When Jesus selected the small group to whom He entrusted His mission in the world, the men appeared to be anything but "eagles." Yet Jesus knew that by His power and grace then could soar. But He had to teach them to fly together. What a strange mix! There was Peter, impetuous and uncouth. And Andrew, simple and believing. Thomas had a question mark for a mind. Matthew probably held his post as tax collector by cooperating with the Romans. And Simon. a Zealot. may have belonged to a guerrilla band determined to disrupt Roman trade or to riot in the streets to make life miserable for the foreign overlords. Think of it-one from the political right, the other from the left. It would he a little like having a lawyer for the ACLU and an organizer for the John Birch Society on the same church board. Why this diversity? Perhaps to teach us

RB Kevin Jones still wants to come home.  The Philadelphia Daily News is reporting that the back, who will have a workout for teams tomorrow, still has a desire to play for the Eagles in the 08 season.  “I’m still interested in the Eagles, but the situation has to be right,” said Jones. “I’m not [...]

Unhappy Sheppard Going Nowhere Says Eagles President Banner
    2008-06-07 17:16:17
Corner back Lito Sheppard is an unhappy player.  It appears as it stands he will not be a starter in Philadelphia this season, and he’s a player that has been the talk of trade rumors ever since the team spent a ton on free agent CB Asante Samuel.  Despite being unhappy and not showing up [...]

Colts Deal Backup FB Lawton to Eagles
    2008-06-06 13:55:12
The Eagles and Colts made a trade earlier today, as the Colts have sent fullback Luke Lawton to the Eagles for a 2009 conditional draft choice. The deal really means nothing to either side unless Lawton makes the Eagles roster, which if he does, then a choice will go to the Colts for him. [...]

Eagles GM Tom Heckert Gets Contract Extension

This is the shortcut version of the game. We all know this game ends in a bad way, but it is very entertaining to watch. Recliner GM’s Eagles Draft Review
    2008-04-29 10:54:03
Let me start by saying that the Eagles have earned my trust in the draft even if they don't do what I think they should have done. Why? Because 18 of 22 starters in 2008 will be players they have drafted, and it could be 19 of 22 if Victor Abiamiri beats out Juqua Parker (formerly Juqua Thomas) for the starting DE spot. They have built primarily through the draft and have been more consistently competitive than 90% of the NFL since Andy Reid took the reigns. If I was a Lions fan? I think I'd be a little more critical if I disagreed with a pick. Right now - I'll give my opinions, but wait to see how things play out before I get too upset. OK - on to the analysis

Eagles Select King Dunlap With The 230th Pick
    2008-04-29 02:06:56
King Dunlap is a LT from Auburn who was once considered a top prospect. He had a really bad year in 2007 mainly due to a left elbow injury he suffered early in the year. The poor season combined with some minor off the field troubles had Dunlap free fall in the draft to the 7th [...]

Eagles Select Andy Studebaker With The 203rd Pick
    2008-04-29 01:07:44
Andy Studebaker is an undersized defensive end, who may convert to linebacker in the NFL. He reminds me a lot of current Eagle Chris Gocong, and I think they may have him develop into a SAM linebacker to backup Gocong. Like Gocong, Studebaker played at a small school, and racked up sacks. He is a high energy [...]

Eagles Take DeSean Jackson With The 49th Pick
    2008-04-26 20:05:58
I was not a fan of taking Cal WR DeSean Jackson with the 19th pick, but the Eagles were able to land him well into the second round. Jackson is a very crisp route runner, and has blazing fast speed(runs a sub 4.3 40). He has a great ability to create deep separation, and make big plays [...]

Eagles Select Trevor Laws With The 47th Pick

I love this pick. The Eagles do have a big need at DT. The starters are very good, but they have nothing after Patterson, and Bunkley. Trevor Laws from Notre Dame has decent size and moves pretty well. He reminds me of Mike Patterson with a little more bulk. Laws was unstoppable force at the Senior Bowl, and should [...]

The Eagles traded the 43d pick they acquired from the Panthers, dealt that and a fifth-round choice (152 overall) to the Minnesota Vikings. In return, the Eagles received the Vikings’ second pick, 47th overall, and an additional fourth-round pick, the 117th selection. Booker Traded to Eagles for 4th
    2008-04-26 18:18:00
I guess the new regime didn't think much of Lorenzo Booker. In order to replace the 4th round pick they traded earlier to the Cowboys, the Dolphins got rid of the 3rd down back for the Eagles' pick. It's an interesting move because the only two real backs left on the roster are injured and are in rehab. I guess they are comfortable with Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams for now. I was wondering if we might take a look at Jamaal Charles in the 3rd, but figured they would pass on that because they already had Booker. Now that becomes a real possibility as an insurance pick.It is also strange because the Eagles already have a Lorenzo Booker in Brian Westbrook. Both pretty much have the same skill sets as pass catching backs. Westbrook is clearly better and is a much better runner, but still I would think the Eagles would want a complement instead of a supplement. Oh well. I won't miss the former Seminole.

    Eagles Trade For Lorenzo booker
    2008-04-26 17:22:41
The Eagles just acquired RB and return specialist Lorenzo Booker for a 4th round pick(114). Booker was a third round pick of the Miami Dolphins just last year, but did not get much playing time as a rookie. Booker is basically your typical scat back type. He is very quick, agile, and a great receiver. At [...]

UPDATE! Eagles get Carolina’s next years 1st, this years 2nd, and this years 4th! In my opinion the Eagles just fleeced the Panthers. The Phinsider Community Mock Draft: Pick #19 - Philadelphia Eagles
    2008-04-09 11:29:50
With the 18th pick in The Phinsider Community Mock Draft, the Houston Texans select Branden Albert, G/T, Virginia. Albert won a tight one, picking up 28% of the vote.  Second place was Gosder Cherilus with 23% followed by Mike Jenkins with 18%. So the 5 most recent picks look like this: Chicago Bears - Chris Williams, OT, Vanderbilt (52%) Detroit Lions - Jonathan Stewart, RB, Oregon (29%) Arizona Cardinals - Leodis McKelvin, CB, Troy (57%) Minnesota Vikings - Derrick Hervey, DE, Florida (58%) Houston Texans - Branden Albert, G/T, Virginia (28%) To see the entire draft so far, click here. The Miami baseball team is off to a hot start, winning 9 of their first 10 games. Yesterday they completed their sweep of the overmatched Boston College Eagles with a 7-1 victory. The Canes are really clicking right now, as they are getting production from both their bats and their arms. Freshman pitcher Chris Hernandez continues to look good as a new addition to the staff, accumulating 19 Ks in just 19 innings.Meanwhile, guys like first baseman Yonder Alonso continue to prove their worth day in and day out. The Canes are getting hits from everyone in the lineup and benefited yesterday from a pair of hits from OFs Adan Severino and Dave DiNatale in addition to 3 hits from second baseman Jemile Weeks. The 5th ranked Canes (7th by Baseball America and 2nd by Rivals.com) now face unranked Penn State tomorrow night. One last quick note: the rival Seminoles have also started off strong, with a 12-0 record.

Alaska offers many options for viewing wildlife: Whales, eagles, bears and more
    2008-02-13 06:20:00
Alaska — It was near the end of a six-hour bus tour of Denali National Park that we got a good, long look at a bear eating his way through a field of berries.Elsewhere in Alaska, my husband, two sons and I had watched whales spouting near Juneau, eagles along the Chilkat River, and waterways in Ketchikan and Skagway so full of salmon they could barely move. But we'd headed to Denali knowing that the park's 9,400 square miles are home to just 350 brown bears. We hoped to see them, but we were prepared for the possibility that we might not.And therein lies an important point to keep in mind if you're planning a trip to Alaska this summer. There are no guarantees you'll see wildlife, but you can improve your chances if you're patient and if you put yourself in the right place at the right time."People go to Alaska to see wildlife for a reason, but you see it in many ways and in many circumstances," said Holland America Line spokesman Erik Elvejord. "Don't expect a line-up of bears when y

He was waiting in line for a ride at the airport. When a cab pulled up, the first thing Harvey noticed was that the taxi was polished to a bright shine. Smartly dressed in a white shirt, black tie, and freshly pressed black slacks, the cab driver jumped out and rounded the car to open the back passenger door for Harvey. He handed him a laminated card and said:"I'm Wally, your driver. While I'm loading your bags in the trunk I'd like you to read my mission statement."Taken aback, Harvey read the card. It said:Wally's Mission Statement:To get my customers to their destination in the quickest, safest and cheapest way possible in a friendly environment. This blew Harvey away. Especially when he noticed that the inside of the cab matched the outside. Spotlessly clean! As he slid behind the wheel, Wally said, "Would yo

Secret Revealed: Why The Rolling Stones, The Eagles And Other Bands Are Back!
    2008-01-13 11:39:00
Older bands and older singers are more popular than the current ones. Why? I know why - recording artist like The Rolling Stones, The Police, Led Zeppelin, The Eagles have something our current entertainers don’t: musical talent. With the music industry's current ‘bring’m in, throw’m out’ mentality, what more could you expect? What the present music scene needs it exactly what these individuals provide: real good music. They give you creativity, musical ability, along with excitement - the very things the music industry is missing today. Trying to find decent music on the radio today can be a challenge, it can really bring a music-lover(like myself) to anger - good music is just simply hard to find on many a radio station. One has to go to the oldies or 70s, 80s radio stations. This is a crying shame, I’m sure you agree with my view on this.Think on this: The Eagles made a song called “Hotel California”, it is a true gem, we know all the words to this masterpiece of a song. Now, tell me of a few recordings you know of now, current hits, that can stand up to that Eagle’s musical creation. Yep, you had to think for awhile didn’t you? The sorry material coming out of the present-day state of the music industry is testamount to a conspiracy, we all know the record business can do better. Now their up in arms over the low sales of cds - as if we the public were fools - we know bad music when we hear it. The music world needs to change; go back to true talent; great songwriting; great production and then it will see a turnaround. It’s so nice to see recording artist from decades gone by in the limelight again. Musical giants like Led Zeppelin, The Police and The Rolling Stones bring along with them - showmanship, character, originality and most of all - really good music. Most of the present-day singers and bands could learn alot from these music world icons - that they(again, most of them, not all) are a far cry from these distinguished artist.L

McNabb, Westbrook Lead Eagles Past Bills 17-9
    2007-12-31 00:03:18
Philadelphia Eagles quarterback stepped off the field - perhaps for the last time - after giving the Eagles fans something to celebrate on Sunday afternoon. He and running back Brian Westbrook led the Eagles to an impressive win over the Buffalo Bills 17-9 at Philadelphia. Not only did Westbrook lead their team to [...]

Buffalo Bills at Philadelphia Eagles: Open Game Thread
    2007-12-30 07:34:35
09 at 17 FINAL SCORE Update [2007-12-30 16:4:16 by Brian Galliford]: That's all she wrote on the 2007 season for the Buffalo Bills, and just like '06, it ends with a record of 7-9. It's another disappointing finish, but there are a lot of positives to take away from this season. We'll have much more on this game, and the 2007 season as a whole, tonight and in the coming days. Update [2007-12-30 15:56:48 by Brian Galliford]: We've hit the 2-minute warning, and the Eagles have just completed a 41-yard pass that will all but ice this one for an Eagles win. Stand by - two minutes remain on Buffalo's 2007 season. Update [2007-12-30 15:16:5 by Brian Galliford]: A second turnover by Donovan McNabb - this time, a fumbled snap recovered by John DiGiorgio - has the Bills in scoring position at the outset of the fourth quarter. Come on, offense - we need touchdowns. Touchdowns are a good thing. Update [2007-12-30 15:11:13 by Brian Galliford]: The Bills strike back qu

    Bills/Eagles: What to Watch For
    2007-12-29 09:08:14
at Buffalo Bills (7-8) at Philadelphia Eagles (7-8) December 30, 2007 @ Lincoln Financial Field 1:00 PM ET, CBS BUF Injury Report :: PHI Injury Report :: Bleeding Green Nation Before the season began, I made the not-so-bold, close-to-copout prediction that the Bills would finish this season 8-8. The season obviously has not played out close to how I envisioned it, but do you blame me for wanting a win over the Eagles badly just to say I was right? The Bills have the chance to finish a season with a non-losing record for the first time since 2004, when Drew Bledsoe led the Bills to a 9-7 record. It's been an unconventional trip for the Bills, but the opportunity is one that they will certainly fight for come tomorrow afternoon. The Eagles, meanwhile, are also playing their final home game with a similar 8-8 goal in mind. Boosted by several highly productive players, most notably RB Brian Westbrook, the Eagles would seem to have the inside track at a blowout in the season

Whitner, Reed Questionable for Bills/Eagles Finale
    2007-12-28 13:29:11
The AP is reporting that Donte Whitner (illness) and Josh Reed (back) are both questionable for this Sunday's matchup with the Eagles. The difference between the two players - Reed returned to practice for the first time today (Friday), while Whitner missed his third straight day with the flu. If Whitner is unable to go, expect to see him replaced by veteran Bryan Scott; Roscoe Parrish would get the starting nod at wideout should Reed miss the game, with Justin Jenkins and Sam Aiken likely to see time as well. Reports have surfaced that attendance at Bills home games this season increased by 5% from 2006, with the Bills hitting 96.1% capacity this season (a per game average of 71,054 spectators). These totals are slightly lower than the 2005 season, when the Bills averaged 71,097 fans per game while going just 5-11. Good job, Bills fans! Rodney McKissic of The Buffalo News has an interesting article about Buffalo's special teams. Since special teams coordinator Bobby

    Bills/Eagles: Bleeding Green Nation's Take
    2007-12-27 15:23:54
Bleeding Green Nation: SB Nation's Philadelphia Eagles blog He's been interviewed by Cris Collinsworth (how cool is that?!), he's got a killer podcast (the man was born for radio), and he runs the best Eagles blog known to mankind. Yes, folks, BleedGreen of Bleeding Green Nation, SB Nation's Eagles blog, was kind enough to spot us some Eagles insight as we prepare for Buffalo's final game of the year. For continued top-notch Eagles coverage as each team's final game day of 2007 approaches, be sure to give BGN more than a peek. On to the interview (my questions in bold)... I have to ask it: after yet another controversy-laden season, is Donovan McNabb an Eagle next season? If he's gone, are the reigns immediately handed to Kevin Kolb? BGN: Yeah, I think it's gotten pretty obvious that he'll be back next year. The simple fact that he's playing this week and Kolb is the 3rd emergency QB tells me all I need to know. If Andy Reid really had any plans t

Eagles fans need to quit whining, already
    2007-10-02 00:57:31
I've been interested today to watch the reaction by Eagles fans at Bleeding Green Nation to Sunday's whupping at the hands of the Giants. Lots of crying and whining, including this beauty regarding the Kawika Mitchell fumble recovery/touchdown. I should have expected as much. Hey, Eagles fans! Here's a newsflash. Even if you have a point about the Mitchell play your team got thoroughly, thoroughly outplayed. If Jeremy Shockey doesn't fall down on the interception and the Giants could kick a field goal the score might have been 30-3. Quit whining and go ask your coach why it looked like he gave up. I've always had great respect for Andy Reid, but where was his head Sunday night? No adjustments, especially not getting some help for the beleaguered Winston Justice as Osi Umenyiora embarrassed him. The Eagles have no one to blame except themselves, and their coach.

    Giants vs. Eagles Game Preview
    2007-09-29 13:49:45
Sunday's meeting between the New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles is a matchup of team that, for all intents and purposes, saved their seasons with victories last week. Both NFC East rivals are 1-2, and when they meet Sunday night in the Meadowlands they will be trying to sort out which of them has a chance to be a contender, and which is likely to spend the season as a pretender. Let's break the game down. When the Eagles have the ball Which Eagles offense will show up? Will it be the one that dropped 56 points on Detroit last week? Or the one that scored 25 points and looked awful in two season-opening losses? Of course, you have to ask the same question about the Giants defense. Will we see the unit that gave up 80 points in two season-opening losses, or the team that shut down Washington in a second-half comeback last week? My guess? Both sides will meet somewhere in the middle. For the Eagles, running back Brian Westbrook has been bothered by an abdominal s

Former Eagles LB Jones Says He’ll Sign With the Saints
    2007-07-06 04:15:24
The New Orleans Saints appear close to getting more defensive help, as former Eagles LB Dhani Jones says that he intends to sign with the team.  Jones was a starter for the Eagles last season, but was wavied by the club after the draft.  Jones had played four seasons with the Eagles after playing the first three seasons of his career with the New York Giants.  Last season he played in all 16 games, recording 76 tackles, 0.5 sacks, and five passes defensed. The 29-year-old gave the news while speaking on the NFL Network. The Saints have yet to have any comment on the possible deal with Jones. The linebacker who is listed at 6-foot-1, 240 pounds had his best season back in 2003, when he led the Giants with a career high of 120 tackles.  The current listed starters for the Saints at linebacker include Mark Simoneau, Scott Shanle, and Scott Fujita.

[Música] | Eagles | Hotel California
    2007-05-26 02:02:00

EAGLES.FAREWELL I TOUR Live from Melbourne Australia
    2007-05-22 05:15:00
Vocals,Drums,Percussion & Guitar:Don HenleyVocals,Guitar,Keyboards:Glenn FreyVocals,Guitar,Slide Guitar & Organ:Joe WalshVocals,Bass Guitar:Timothy B. Schmit都是主唱,都很會唱。 從The Long Run唱到兩首安可曲Take It Easy和Desperado...超過兩個半小時的音

Former Eagles DT Rayburn Visiting Buffalo
    2007-05-16 01:17:52
Competition for Tim Anderson? Free agent defensive tackle Sam Rayburn is in Orchard Park today visiting the Buffalo Bills. Rayburn, a fourth-year veteran, was released by the Philadelphia Eagles shortly after they signed DT Ian Scott, a highly-touted free agent from the Chicago Bears. Stacked with depth at that position, Rayburn became expendable. Rayburn made it to the league as an undrafted free agent out of Tulsa and spent his first four years in the league with Philly. He is the right size for Buffalo's Cover-2 scheme (6'3", 303) and has enough athleticism to play here as well. Described as a "blue-collar guy", he is a hustler (and probably a bit of an overachiever) and seems to fit the mold remarkably well in terms of what Marv Levy looks for in his defensive linemen. As most Bills fans know, we have great depth at the D-Tackle position here. Larry Tripplett is a steady veteran, John McCargo and Kyle Williams are looking promising heading into their
