Instead, I'll just say that I take complete responsibility for the loss yesterday, as I was the one talking prematurely about getting out of Beer Town with a sweep. For those of you who missed the game last night, you missed 6 strong innings from Z and a pretty good dugout argument between Lou and Z about when, exactly, Z would be . . . taking a break. . . from pitching for that game. Carlos won the argument and strode out to the plate in the top of the 7th with a bat in his hand and a smug look on his face. Guy who can break bats over his knee 1, Old Chubby Coaches 0. And I kind of have to agree with Z. I think I'd rather have him bat than any of our pinch hitters.

The good news is that Z looked strong and we picked up a game on the stinkin' Cards. The bad news is that today a thus-far erractic Ted Lilly heads to the mound against Kyle Lohse, who's been pretty darn good so far this season. I mean, good for for Kyle Lohse. It's not like he's going to win the Cy Young, but still, he can probably make us look bad.
