    Expat Chinese Show Support For The Olympics

    Chinese people all over the world have been showing their full support for their country's biggest event this year! There was this big rally in Sydney's Chinatown area, Australia to show the Australian Chinese community's support for their country's hosting of the Olympics a couple of weeks ago.Yesterday, in a massive rally showing the same support, the Chinese community in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Their faces and arms painted with images of China's five-star red flag and Beijing Olympics symbols, and demonstrators waved Chinese and Dutch national colors and chanted: "Welcome to Beijing, Welcome to China!" People in their 70s, as well as kids in parents' arms, joined the three-hour rally which had the theme of "Welcoming the Olympics and focusing on China."Tens of thousands of brochures, leaflets and souvenirs about China and the Beijing Olympics were handed out at the rally.     Police in Morocco have launched a murder investigation after the discovery of the body a Dublin man in Tangiers.Andrew Sheehan, a married man originally from Santry, had been living in Morocco for the past few years and was reported missing last May.A preliminary identification of his body was carried out today.Minister For Foreign Affairs Dermot Ahern has been touch with his counterpart in Morocco in relation to the case.The Department of Foreign Affairs said four people have been taken into custody as part of the ongoing investigation by the Moroccan authorities.According to reports, Mr Sheehan's body was found buried in a Tangiers suburb and was exhumed in the presence of forensic experts and prosecutorsTags: Moroccan Morocco Fes, Maghreb news

    Being an expatriate doesn't sever all ties to the motherland (what I call the USA). Before I arrived in Montevideo I set up an account with USABox.With USABox you will have an address in Miami, Florida. You have all your mail (including FedEx and UPS packages) sent there. When you receive anything in your box they scan the outside of the envelope or, if it's a package, they enter a description and email you. Your online inbox shows each item waiting to be sent to you. If something's obviously junk you can simply delete it from your inbox and they'll throw it away. If you like to shop online and receive several boxes of merchandise you can request that they repack everything to save you money on shipping. You can control when items are sent to you. They have different monthly plans which include varying amounts of shipping included. Their default shipping company is DHL (which really sucks here in UY) so I pay $9 per shipment to have them use FedEx. USABox is cool for expats who hav
