| The Luffa Farm in Nipomo California | | 2008-08-05 08:26:00 | | A Luffa or Loofah sponge is used like a body scrub. Both the coarse textured sponge and the soft textured sponge are called Luffas or Loofahs. The latter soft textured luffa sponges aren't in fact derived from the luffa fruit, but are manufactured by folding in several layers of soft mesh-like fabric into a cloud-like shape; commonly used in tandem with shower gels/lotions. If you have ever wondered how this natural sponges are grown and are on a trip through central California you are invited to stop by The Luffa Farm for a free tour. The luffas you buy in stores are typically grown, or "made in" other countries. These Luffa sponges are made and grown right here in California. Luffa sponges are non-abrasive enough to wash dishes, cars, sinks, toys, golf clubs, floors, walls, windows and of course great for bathing. So next time your looking for a natural sponge look for the label "grown in Nipomo" or better yet head out to the farm and see firsthand how the luffa vines look. | Smart Partnership Bersama Estana Farm Industries Sdn. Bhd. | | 2008-06-03 00:18:00 | | Berita baik kepada para pelabur. Kepada sesiapa yang ada modal untuk melabur ini satu lagi peluang dari Estana Farm Industries Sdn. Bhd. | | By: hidup berkeluarga mencari bahagia | | |

I halved it and it gave 17 cupcakes. To make the dough, bake cake, crumble it, and use heavy cream (Bakerella uses cream cheese frosting) to make it good enough for shaping. I used 5 cupcakes to make 3 pigs, 3 sheep and a cow.I used this recipe for the icing. | Non-Farm Payrolls Pushes Dollar Down, Increasing Likelihood of Rate Cut | | 2008-04-07 09:38:55 | | CURRENCY TRADING SUMMARYU.S. Dollar Trading (USD) was weaker on Friday as a result of a worse than expected Non-Farm Payrolls data release indicating employment fell by 80,000 in March, some 30,000 less than what was forecast. February’s figures were also revised to show a loss of 76,000 jobs rather than the 63,000 it originally reported, further indicating the world’s largest economy may be slipping into recession. Further to this news, the unemployment rate rose 0.3% to 5.1% its highest level in almost 3 years fuelling thoughts the Fed may cut rates yet again as early as the end of this month. The US share market had a mixed reaction to the weak economic data with the NASDAQ rising 7.68 points (0.3%) and the Dow Jones falling -16.61 points (-0.1%). Oil prices gained US$2.40 a barrel to US$106.23. | Why Buy a Hobby Farm | | 2008-04-03 10:53:01 | | guest article:Buying a small farm is generally an emotive experience. Every purchaser has a unique set of reasons for taking such a step, however, general themes can be identified and several broad categories of hobby farmers can usually be observed in most regions. For Investment InterestAstute investors will often purchase a parcel of land close to the urban fringe with the expectation that the urban sprawl will inevitably produce handsome profits from subdivisions or redevelopment. Such farmers will often carry out a minimum of work and may graze some animals in order to keep the property tidy. It is unlikely that long-term activities such as re-vegetation will take place. For Lifestyle Or PrivacyMore commonly hobby farmers have a desire to live away from the prying eyes of neighbours, but be near enough to the city in order to commute to work. Some owners may have little interest in working the property as a place for agricultural production, and as a result, carry out a minimum of w... | | By: Safe Green Living | | |

| City-dwellers Return to the Farm and Gardening | | 2008-04-03 10:45:57 | | I am currently reading Animal, Vegetable, Miracle: A Year of Food Life by Barbara Kingsolver (2007). Barbara Kingsolver is a popular novelist who wrote the lovely stories "Animal Dreams" and "The Bean Trees." Kingsolver is one of the few successful, creative women I've encountered who use motherhood and domesticity to cultivate their creativity, making it richer than before. She seems to balance the two with ease and good nature. The book is also authored by her husband, Steven L. Hopp and her daughter, Camille Kingsolver. The authorship is just one example of the commitment her family took to bring awareness to the degradation of the food we eat.Her family decided to change their lifestyle, move to a small farm and commit themselves to growing their own food and only eating locally for year's time. The book, Animal, Vegetable, Miracle is an account of their year. It is more than a memoir. They include resources, statistics about pesticide use, petroleum costs for food delivery, food di... | | By: Safe Green Living | | |

| Kids on the Farm - Safety tips | | 2008-03-10 13:47:55 | | Farm and ranch worksites present lethal hazards to young children. According to data from the Canadian Agricultural Injury Surveillance Program (CAISP), from 1990 to 2000 there were 109 fatal agricultural injuries to young children (aged 1 to 6 years) in Canada. Over 84 percent of the children were related to the farm owner/operators. Of those killed, 79 percent were boys.Across Canada, three causes of injury accounted for almost 79 percent of the fatal agricultural injuries to children: bystander runovers, extra rider events, and drownings. Bystander runovers and extra rider events are usually fatal. When small children clash with powerful machinery, their injuries are so severe that there is negligible chance of survival, even if immediate medical care is available.Bystander (or "blind") runovers are by far the most common cause of agricultural fatalities among young children, accounting for almost 34 percent of the deaths. | Hint: Tier 1 Prospector Farm: | | 2007-06-13 03:53:00 | | Hint: Tier 1 Prospector Farm:The place you want to look for the Tier 1 Prospector Farm, is in the Shire. Try creating an alternate Hobbit character and make him an Explorer for his Crafting. This farm has both Prospector materials and Forester materials. Go to the town of Micheal Delving in The Shire. Next, display the world map so it shows the town name Micheal Delving. Find where the "G" in Micheal Delving is. Go to that general area and you will certainly find at least two or three Prospector Nodes (Tin Deposits and Copper Deposits). Make sure to have your Prospecting Tracker on. There is a mound that you can stand on that can reveal any of the three nodes that appear. By doing this, you can almost instantly run to it and grab the node. An Explorer is also acceptable for this, not only for its Prospecting ability, but also the Forester. Every now and then, Rowan Branches will appear at the bottom of the hill to the right of the building, and at the top near the few trees.... | | By: Free Lord of the rings online leveling guide | | |

| You know the Mitch Hedberg ant farm joke… | | 2007-05-26 07:36:26 | | I once took a tap dancer to Central Park for date, because hello… park dates are free.
We were sitting against a tree, when an ant crawled up her back. Naturally, I volunteered to remove that ant from her back.
Eventually, after fumbling around her bra strap for a few moments, I grabbed the ant.
The girl let out a cry, “Don’t kill it”
So I let the ant go on it’s merry way, after paying it its fee (a cookie crumb).
“Don’t kill it?” A tap dancer is telling me not to kill an ant?
How many 7.9s on the ant colony richter scale has the tippity tap dancer caused in her lifetime… “Don’t kill it…”
Needless to say, it didn’t work out… between me and the ant.

| Two Tone Farm Chardonnay | | 2007-05-21 03:33:00 | | California2004Would drink again.Another screw top - this is becoming the way to go. Enjoyable on its own. I tend to like "oakiness" in my chardonnay - this does not have an oak taste to it. It is all fruit (pear) and butter. I stir fried chicken with fresh ginger and garlic in olive oil and put it over Romaine with celery, grape tomatoes, freshly grated parmesean and freshly ground black peppercorns. I was just going to have olive oil and lemon over it but I had a craving for Ranch. I thought for sure the Ranch dressing would make the Chardonnay less enjoyable, but it didn't at all. This Chardonnay was good on its own and with dinner.7.25 out of 10St. Helena, California13.2% alc. by vol.$10.99 / bottle"Malolactic Fermentation is a second fermentation that lowers tart malic acids and increases the softer lactic acids, making for a richer style wine.
