Anne Carrington Talented and versatile singer-songwriter Samantha Farrell is creating her own buzz on the LA music scene with her CD release, Spiritus. It's her voice which draws you in; as one description calls it, "a soulful mix of Van Morrison's country hospitality, Ella Fitzgerald's jazzy range and Fiona Apple's modern honesty." Farrell's MySpace page describes her sound as a mix of "acoustic, soul and indie," but this CD is a refreshing change from the less-than-stellar talent that most radio stations are trying to pass off as music today.
