| Liberal Fascism in America: Leftist Group Sends Warning Letters to Republican Donors | | 2008-08-09 14:17:48 | | Whenever I think that the Left has reached the pinnacle of abject absurdity, I wake up to read the New York Times and find them proving me wrong once again. The same people who argue for an ideology of tolerance and unity will now be supporting their message by resorting to the thuggish tactics of the Brownshirt Fascists. Within the next few weeks, over 10,000 donors to Republican causes will receive a letter in the mail from Tom Matzzie and his Leftist political group, Accountable America. The warning letter is intended as a first step, alerting donors who might be considering giving to right-wing groups to a variety of potential dangers, including legal trouble, public exposure and watchdog groups digging through their lives. While this plan is fascistic in form and substance, it is not going to have the effect that Matzzie desires. Primarily, it will result in energizing people who are unenthusiastic about John McCain to get behind his cause. Even if one is not for McCain, it is s... | | By: Copious Dissent - Your Daily Dose of Liberty | | |
| | Italy’s Headlong Dive Into Fascism | | 2008-08-06 13:55:32 | | The UK is becoming an Orwellian nightmare, the United States has the Patriot Act which will eventually push all human rights into the oubliette, and Italy has Berlusconi. The ‘heroes’ behind the mass slaughters of the so-called ‘war on terror’ are slowly but surely slipping into right-wing extremism. Nowhere is this more obvious than in [...]

| Fairness Doctrine = Fascism: It's The Plain & Simple Truth | | 2008-06-23 10:57:00 | | There really is no other way to describe it. It can't be rationalized into anything other than an attempt by politicians to keep their actions close to the vest as it were. To silence once and for all, any dissension to their personal or lobbyists agendas. They simply do not like "We the people," a.k.a. their constituency, knowing what they are doing. And still they refuse to give this already-failed-once draconian, nightmare piece of legislation up.
Of course the UNfairness doctrine, as it should rightly be labeled, (as it is anything but fair) is aimed at only RADIO programing, just like the original back in 1929. No mention is even hinted at, at either print or visual media outlets, better known as "Lib-friendly" media outlets. And just like back then, it did NOT encourage competitive programing, but discouraged it to the utmost extreme. Radio programing simply discontinued airing anything that could be deemed controversial.
Which is exactly what the Lib's want! Since 90% of talk ... | | By: Hoopy Frood Dude | | |
| | Beijing Embraces Classical Fascism | | 2008-05-09 09:29:00 | | Michael Ledeen - In 2002, I speculated that China may be something we have never seen before: a mature fascist state. Recent events there, especially the mass rage in response to Western criticism, seem to confirm that theory. More significantly, over the intervening six years China's leaders have consolidated their hold on the organs of control--political, economic and cultural. Instead of gradually embracing pluralism as many expected, China's corporatist elite has become even more entrenched. More...... | | By: THE NEW BABYLON TIMES | | |

| | Civilization: Amid Old Triumphs, New Threats from Fascism | | 2007-08-13 21:01:47 | | Bertrand Russell, in hisWisdom of the West, put forward a simple thesis. Western Civilization is essentially Greek civilization. There is no civilization but the Greek in which a philosophic movement goeshand in hand with a scientific tradition. It is this that gives the Greek enterprise its peculiar scope; it is this dual tradition that hasshaped the civilization of the west.--Bertrand Russell, Wisdom of the WestIn support of his thesis, Russell points to the authoritarian, theocratic natures of earlier civilizations --Egypt and Babylonia.Religion, Russell stated, seems inconsistent with the Greek spirit offree inquiry typified most famously by Socrates and the Platonictradition that followed. It is because Greek civilization was primarilysecular, Russell believed, that the spirit of "free inquiry" took rootin the west. This spirit, he believed, was incompatible with bothauthoritarianism and religion itself.A Renaissance of Western Civilization was associated with the pre-eminence of Lo... | | By: The Peace Tree | | |
