Uma Firewall é um sofware que monitoriza os ficheiros que entram e saem do seu computador de forma a impedir ataques de piratas informáticos e a instalação de software malicioso.
Dito de outra forma: Firewall é um sofware que se coloca entre o seu computador e a Net, controlando tudo o que entra e sai segundo determinadas regras.
Você pode personalizar a sua firewall consoante os programas aos quais permitirá o acesso à Net.
O Zone Alarm é um software de referência e existe em duas versões: Zone Alarm e Zone Alarm PRO. A primeira é totalmente gratuita, mas mais limitada.
Antes de instalar o Zone Alarm, aconselha-se a que faça igualmente o download do Advanced WindowsCare V2 Personal, programa que detecta e repara possíveis erros do seu computador.
Porém, esta firewall deixa o seu computador um pouco lento e a sua configuração não é muito simples para quem tiver dificuldade em perceber inglês.
