    2008-07-15 14:04:16

    2008-07-07 10:20:00
Canadian television director Casey Walker has dreamed for years of making a romantic comedy for the big screen, but the thought of pleading for government grants or going broke to make the movie wasn't terribly appealing. LifeLock and Its Series C Funding!
    2008-06-25 16:31:55
I bumped into one of my billiards buddies, Richard Yap, at Filling Station in Makati City. To my surprise, Richard congratulated me on the excellent posts I did on LifeLock and the LifeLock promotion code! And I kid you not! He told me that he religiously follows my blog and all, and wanted to know more background info on LifeLock.com and its identity theft protection service. I highlighted to Richard the fact that in January 2008, Life Lock secured $25,000,000 in Series C funding, which was led by the Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. LifeLock will utilize the funding to further support LifeLock's astounding growth and to continue it's goal of offering exceptional service to people concerned with identity theft. I also noted the fact that LifeLock was founded in 2005 by a group of professionals in the banking, payment, credit and security industries. The identity theft protection firm has realized significant growth and has been given the distinction as one of the fastest growing companies i

Barack Obama became the first president since Watergate to forgo public financing, flip-flopping from his original stance. His excuse? He needs to raise much more money to combat the 527 groups that are preparing to “attack” him. “We’ve already seen that (McCain’s) not going to stop the smears and attacks from his allies running so-called [...]

    Heir Loan - Inheritance Funding
    2008-06-23 07:08:23
This day am not going to write about loans, but about something which am sure many of the people out there will be benefited. I was reading about "Probate Advance Costs & Facts" of inheritance funding. May be this is not new for you, but for me, it was completely new. So here are some stuffs I found about heir loan .They offer money not as loan, but as advance, which doesn't have any interest and/or a payment schedule of any kind. They take assignment of your future inheritance and advance you the inheritance money in exchange to a set amount in future, And they decide the advance money with respect to complexity, realestate value involved, time estimation ...etc.Isn't that cool? Getting the money in hand even before it is done as a court settlement? And even if the court didn't distribute the same even after the time estimated, the cost never goes up. --..--..-- This is the blog feed or the RSS feed ...

Rothman votes for Amtrak improvement funding
    2008-06-12 13:05:00
He says energy crisis makes passenger rail more important than everU.S. Rep. Steve Rothman, D-Fairlawn, voted to continue federal funding for Amtrak over the next five years. Specifically, he supported legislation, the Passenger Rail Investment and Improvement Act (H.R.6003), to provide $14.9 billion for Amtrak from Fiscal Years 2009 to 2013. That amount includes $4.2 billion set aside for capital grants that would largely support work to improve service for New Jerseyans and others who rely on passenger rail along the Northeast Corridor. The bill passed the House by a vote of 311 to 104.Describing his support for this bill during tight fiscal times, Rothman said: “With gas prices reaching over $4 per gallon, Americans need a national energy policy that balances immediate relief with a long-term goal of decreasing our dependence on foreign oil. I view investments in our national passenger rail system, especially the widely used Northeast Corridor, as a critical part of that plan.“A

Rothman votes against further Bush War funding
    2008-05-16 20:43:00
U.S. Rep. Steve Rothman, D-Fairlawn, a vocal member of the Out of Iraq Caucus, voted against providing the Bush Administration with any new funding to prosecute its failed war in Iraq. Rothman has pledged to only support new funding for Iraq that is linked to the safe redeployment of U.S. troops out of Iraq. Rothman issued the following statement about his vote:"I remain resolute in my opposition to any new funding for the Bush Administration's failed policy in Iraq unless the money is for the protection and safe redeployment of our troops out of Iraq. Over 42,000 New Jerseyans in the Armed Forces and Reserves have been sent to Iraq since the Iraq War began. All of these men and women are courageous and have earned their country's deepest gratitude and respect. It is the American government's responsibility to bring our troops home. Our country must have a foreign policy that makes more sense than policing an Iraqi civil war for the next 100 years."Read more about Congressman Rothman's

Schools are canceling gym, music and art classes. For the reason is that the lack of money for programs so that can fund them. I think this is one of the saddest things for young people for the reason that it helps them in so many ways in the mind, body and spirit. A sport program like football, baseball, basketball, soccer makes them learn how work as a team with others. All those things are such a great learning experience. The government needs to help the schools. This is so sad something nee

    2008-02-15 05:24:00
Companies have continued to receive startup money because venture capital firms base their decisions on long-term investments, not current economic conditions, she said. Still, the downturn in the economy could eventually have an effect if the market for taking a company public goes south. Investors make their money when a company goes public."If there is a recession, the stock market is not going to be terribly conducive to firms going public," she said.

    Easy Funding
    2008-01-09 18:25:00
Of course, what use is it to think of starting up a business if there is no capital? And being a normal citizen, we naturally do not have the necessary collateral for start-up financing. Thinking about it, no banks will ever want to risk themselves by financing start-ups without something in return. Hence the most difficult part besides getting niche ideas, its to get start-up financing. EzUnsecured.com, is one site set up to help. With its fast processing, easy funding and excellent service, it allows new start-ups to get financing without collaterals. EzUnsecured.com does it by surveying your credit history with banks and other financial institutions and from there, it decides your credit. Higher your credit, the easier to get cash.

    UPDATES: Border Fence Funding Hoax
    2007-12-23 06:30:00
For those who DON'T get regular updates from pages like Firesociety.com, (which I highly recommend that you do,) Congress has passed the Consolidated Appropriations bill. The bill DOES include the Hutchison amendment. What does that mean you might ask?Well, it means that the Border Fence funding has been completely gutted, by OUR OWN governmental representatives. The 854 miles of double layer fencing along our southern border will most likely NOT be completed, except by the personal efforts of groups like the Minuteman Civil Defense Corps.Firesociety.com has MANY links about this that I suggest you take a look at. Several outlets have written about this to include, Lou Dobbs, Michelle Malkin, Worldnetdaily, CNS news and even Investors Business Daily.I also recommend that you make known to your individual representatives how disturbing you find their support of this amendment is.

    Library Funding
    2007-12-20 09:27:37
In the latest Thinking Out Loud with George and Joan George Needham revealed a startling finding from the next OCLC report. That library use does not correlate with library support. We can't assume that our members will support us in a bond issue. Nor can we assume those not using the library won't support funding. Rallying our members for a tax increase or bond issue is not the best way to get funding. We have to mobilize our supporters, whether members or not. The full report is due in the first part of 2008.For the use of members instead of patrons, users, etc. listen to the podcast.

Saudi Billionaire Sues 'Funding Evil' Author
    2007-11-28 13:17:56
Two years ago our guest,Dr. Rachel Ehrenfeld, told us how she was ordered to destroy all copies of her book, "Funding Evil - How Terrorism is Financed and How to Stop It," after a Saudi billionaire Sheikh sued her for including him in the book. She forwarded the following to me, about appearing in a short-form documentary film, "The Libel Tourist," which documents the true story of how she, an American-Israeli author, was ordered to destroy all copies of her book in a country where it had never been published -- England -- after the notoriously litigious Saudi billionaire sued her in a British court. Ehrenfeld's book accuses the Saudi billionaire of funding of terrorism. We aired segments from the film and an earlier interview with her on Monday, in light of Saudi Arabia calling the shots at Tuesday's 'peace' conference in Annapolis this week. The new film tells of how Dr. Ehrenfeld is fighting back, countersuing the billionaire, Sheikh Khalid bin Mahfouz, in the New York courts to defend her and our First Amendment rights. The Sheikh filed more than thirty-six lawsuits in London against various media and publishers, many of them American. Mahfouz couldn't sue Ehrenfeld in the United States, where libel cases hinge upon the truth of the allegations. Instead, he arranged for twenty-three copies of her book to be bought online and shipped to the U.K., where he used the plaintiff-friendly libel laws to sue her.Ehrenfeld, an American-Israeli who holds a Ph.D. in criminology, lives and works in New York. She refused to acknowledge the authority of a British court over her freedom of speech. When she lost the case by default, she was ordered to pay a substantial fine, as well as Mahfouz's legal fees. She was also ordered to destroy all copies of her books in the U.K. and to publish an apology to bin Mahfouz in major newspapers. She refused. Instead, she countersued bin Mahfouz in a U.S. federal court. She hopes to set a precedent that would prohibit any foreign court from
