Leftist Media Makes Fun of George Bush For Holding American Flag Backwards, But Who is Right?
    2008-08-13 19:26:58
UPDATE: MSNBC FLIES FLAG UPSIDE DOWN.Nothing gets me more irritated than when arrogant ignorant leftists make fun of George Bush for being stupid. Forget the fact that his academic grades were better than both Al Gore and John Kerry. Forget the fact that Barack Obama says he visited all 57 states (see video below). Now of course the leftist media is attacking the President for holding the American flag the wrong way during the Olympics. (See Huffington Post,Yahoo, About.com, etc.). The Huffington Post really ripped Bush for this, claiming he is "Not So Good with Flags."But, if one looks at any military uniform, Bush held the flag just right. I guess he visits the troops so often, he must have assumed that was the way to hold the flag. I cannot say the same for Barack Obama. So who is backward?Related EditorialsAl Gore and John Kerry Rode the Short Bus to School ...

    George Bush got drunk!
    2008-07-25 08:51:43
I couldn't believe that George Bush said what he said. Then I thought nearly eight years in the White House hasn't changed him. He's still making schoolboy quips to impress his audience. And his audience in the video that was recorded on a mobile phone seems easily pleased! Disgraceful. His simplistic answer to the terrible greed that has been inflicted on the US housing market is to say that "Wall Street got drunk". He said, "There's no question about it. Wall Street got drunk. It got drunk and now it's got a hangover. The question is, how long will it sober up and not try to do all these fancy financial instruments?"Fancy financial instruments? Is that what they are? He appears to think it is nothing to do with him. The drunk is in another room sobering up. According to him there's no cure. Nobody is suggesting a version of Chaser® – Freedom from Hangovers® for these errant financiers, fancy or otherwise. Perhaps they should!I really feel Bush should take this seriously. Why on ea...

The very first band I ever “signed” was San Francisco’s premiere punk rock band, The Nuns. My partner Chris and I started an indie “label” to release a 3-song EP by the band. None of us were all that serious about the project; it was just something we all did for fun… just for fun. [...]...

George W. Bush is an idiot. No, really. We have proof.
    2008-07-14 07:51:00
Just remember - our proud nation elected him twice. From Telegraph.co.uk:The American leader, who has been condemned throughout his presidency forfailing to tackle climate change, ended a private meeting with the words: "Goodbye from the world's biggest polluter."He then punched the air while grinning widely, as the rest of those present including Gordon Brown and Nicolas Sarkozy looked on in shock.Mr Bush, whose second and final term as President ends at the end of the year, then left the meeting at the Windsor Hotel in Hokkaido where the leaders of the world's richest nations had been discussing new targets to cut carbon emissions. One official who witnessed the extraordinary scene said afterwards: "Everyone was very surprised that he was making a joke about America's record on pollution."Mr Bush also faced criticism at the summit after Silvio Berlusconi, the Italian Prime Minister, was described in the White House press pack given to journalists as one of the "most controversial lead...

We Are Going to Miss George W. Bush!
    2008-06-12 19:13:07
A GREAT MANAs I watched a clip of the President of the United States (note to Barack Obama, George W. Bush is still POTUS), once again I was in tears.  We are going to miss this man, so very much. Back in 2000, the Sunday following the final “count” when we knew that GWB had won, when I walked into church, Betty Mason was ushering that day.  She was quite happy.  So was I.  She made the comment, “I truly think the Hand of God was in this.  There is a reason this man has been elected.” Less than ......

Koch is not too kind to the former President: When he ran for reelection, he asked me to campaign for him in 1980 - I was by then Mayor of New York City -- and I said that I would vote for him, but not campaign for him because he was then engaging in hostile acts towards Israel. George Bush in Hell
    2008-03-11 05:27:52
George Bush has a heart attack and dies. He goes to hell where the devil is waiting for him."I don't know what to do here, " says the devil. " You are on my list. . . but I have no room for you." "You definitely have to stay here, so I'll tell you what I'm going to do." "I've got three folks here who weren't quite as bad as you, I'll let one of them go, but you have to take their place. I'll even let YOU decide who leaves.George thought that sounded pretty good, so he agreed. The devil opened the door to the first room: in it was Richard Nixon in a large pool of water. He kept diving in and surfacing empty-handed over and over and over. - Such was his fate in hell."No!" George said. "I don't think so. I'm not a good swimmer and don't think I could do that all day long."The devil led him to the next room: in it was Tony Blair with a sledgehammer and a room full of rocks. All he did was swing that hammer, time after time after time."No, I've got this problem with my shoulder. I would be i...

Can We Please Get On With the Capital Crimes Trial of George W. Bush? via The Existentialist Cowboy
    2007-11-09 22:09:28
...before Bush starts World War III! Word is Israel is planning to strike Iran. That takes the heat off Bush while giving him the war he wants in the Middle East. Scenario: Israel strikes Iran. Iran retaliates. The US joined Israel and Bush get his jollies watching mushroom clouds from afar! Gog Magog, my ass! Bush his psychotic. The debate about whether "waterboarding" is or is not "torture" is another GOP red herring. Anyone who denies waterboarding is torture should prove it's not by public submitting themselves to it! That just might end another stupid obfuscation by the GOP. Then again, it doesn't really matter what it's called --especially by the liars of Bush's illegiimate regime. By any defintion, it is a violation of Due Process of Law and the various international conventions to which the US is bound.I have yet to find anything in the US Constitution, the Bill of Rights, or the various treaties to which the US is bound by law and convention that gives anyone in the US --including persons who call themselves "President" --a right to violate Due Process of anyone. There are numerous laws, however, which bind the US to the Geneva Convention despite unconstitutional attempts by both Bush and Congress to exempt Bush from Geneva but only after he had already violated it! The statute, in effect at the time Bush committed the crime, makes Bush a war criminal, subject to prosecution for capital crimes. Congress may change the law but the Constitution forbids they "back date it".No bill of attainder or ex post facto Law shall be passed.--Article 1, US ConstitutionNow --can we please get on with the capital crimes trial of George W. Bush?Bush is a Bigger Threat Than "Terrorists"!!The charges against Rumsfeld are a good first step! My goal is to see the lot of them in the dock ---Rumsfeld, Bush, Cheney, Gonzales, Ashcroft!!! Americans: let me put this bluntly. The Bush administration is not a legitimate administration. It is a crime syndicate, in office because the...

MSM Blame George Bush for Wildfires in California, and Everything Else
    2007-10-25 22:12:10
As predictable as the sun rising in the morning sky, liberals around America blamed George Bush for the wildfires in California. Evidently, George Bush is responsible for the following: 1) Wild Fires; 2) Hurricanes; 3) Tornadoes; 4) Corporate Corruption; 5) Poverty; 6) Crime (nothing specific, just crime in general); 7) Tsunamis; 8) Illiteracy; 9) Sudanese Genocide; 10) Islamic Fundamentalism; 11) Disease; 12) Drug Abuse; and 13) Just about anything bad in the World. I thought these liberals want a wall separating Church and State, yet they honestly believe that George Bush is responsible for the weather? Those who are fans of this blog know that I am not a George Bush supporter; he has allowed spending to get out of control. But, when liberals want to debate whether George Bush caused wildfires in California, someone needs to acknowledge that Al Gore has destroyed all reason in this Country. Honestly, how psychotic does someone have to be so see a hurricane or a wildfire and blame it on George Bush? It is acceptable to fault George Bush if he demonstrates negligence after a natural disaster, but it is not his fault for causing the disaster. I thought this was obvious! But, I see we have relegated the debate to childish fantasies. To make matters more ridiculous, authorities now believe the fires in California were caused by arsonists! Yes, so now the drive-by media can push their retracted statements that George Bush caused the fires to page 30. This is by definition a drive-by media event. The MSM comes to the scene to spread their baseless assumptions that George Bush caused the wild fires, thereby creating a total mess. Then when they realize that Bush had nothing to do with it, and we have plenty of resources to fight the fires, they realize that the fires were likely caused by arsonists. Pathetically, nobody will hear about their mistakes and they will sweep their errors under the rug. These “journalists” obviously think we are all a bunch of idiots. No wonder they lose their audience on a daily basis.Lastly, it should be acknowledged that Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has been an unbelievable leader throughout this event. This is true even considering that the local media in California were continuously attempting to blame the War in Iraq on the fires. I did not think Iraq could be squeezed into this story, but it was.First, there were plenty of resources, plenty of planes, and there was nothing but good news in terms of the rescue and firefighting effort. Here is a quote of Schwarzenegger trashing liberal reporter Claire Shipman for trying to create a fake news story, “Trust me when I tell you, you're looking for a mistake and you won't find it because it's all good news, as much as you maybe hate it, but it's good news.” Yet, Shipman continued with her baseless assault. Just to give you an indication on how hard Shipman tried to create her own version of the story, examine this quote by Shipman:“When we agreed to move on to another subject, the President's plans to visit California Thursday, the governor remained upbeat.”Upbeat!? So the President coming to California is a bad thing! If George Bush did not come to California, there would be Hell to pay. Then again, they will probably blame Bush for creating Hell in the first place.Related EditorialsAl Gore Wins the Nobel Peace Prize Along with the U.N. George Bush Finally Advocates Fiscal Responsibility by Threatening More Vetoes
    2007-10-16 00:31:13
After the Republicans were voted out of office in 2006, George Bush has been able to do what many conservatives have asked him to do for years: Veto excessive spending. Not only did George Bush rightfully veto the SCHIP program, because of the devastating effect it would have on our future economy, but this week he threatened Congress with additional vetoes unless the Democrats cut their budget. Yes, $2.9 trillion is excessive.I am personally thrilled by this news. Finally, George Bush is acting like a Conservative, rather than a Compassionate Conservative (a.k.a. Huge Liberal). The question now is whether this is too little too late?Bush already was responsible for the Medicare Part D plan, which added another massive Government entitlement to our budget. So there is nothing Bush can do until the end of his term to make up for that mistake. However, this is a great start. The problem of fiscal irresponsibility all stems from Washington, D.C. When Republicans go to Washington, D.C., they often fall prey to the notion that the American people all think they are evil when they cut spending. In truth, the American people are not stupid. The American people know that cutting spending means that some people will not receive government assistance. However, Republicans who stand by principle are reelected while Republicans who support increases in spending for fear that the MSM will attack them got ousted in 2006 election.Although many pundits argue that the 2006 election was a vote about Iraq, that is only partially true. In reality, many conservatives stayed home because they had nobody to vote for. If you were a voter in 2006 whose main principle was fiscal responsibility, you likely had a choice between a Republican who would cut taxes and raise spending and a Democrat who would raise taxes and spending. It was a losing situation. Now that George Bush is fighting the Democrats on fiscal issues, however, this may lead to devastation for the Democrats in 2008. Political savvy Republicans are not going to be swayed by the MSM’s smear of George Bush for not wanting to support “the children.” Instead, the Conservative base will turn out in high numbers to remove those fiscally irresponsible Democrats from office who cannot control spending. Let us hope the Republicans remain strong over the next few weeks and refuse to overturn Bush’s veto.Related EditorialsBudget Deficit Update. . .United States Budget Deficit Is At Its Lowest Level in 5 Years: Liberal Experts SurprisedDianne Feinstein is a Big Fat Pig: Congressional Pork-barrel Spending/ Earmarks are Out of Control under Nancy PelosiBull-SCHIP!!!! Communication Matters: Why George Bush's Veto of the SCHIP Program Was Not Good Enough
    2007-10-06 00:40:19
I was proud that George Bush vetoed the State Children's Health Insurance Program (SCHIP) this week. However, it certainly was not good enough because George Bush failed the most important part of his veto: Conveying to the American people why he did it. Now the American people think that he wants to kill our children. The most I heard Bush say was that he believes in free markets. That's great George!! I do too. But, for the economically challenged, they still hear that you are trying to kill their kids. Here is what I would say if I were George Bush in as few words as possible:The SCHIP plan classifies "Children" as anyone below the age of twenty-five. The SCHIP plan classifies poor people as those making less than $85,000 a year. It is funded by a cigarette tax. When the cigarette tax reduces the number of smokers, and the revenue generated decreases over time, expect for government to find other ways to pay for it: Increasing everyone's taxes. Then, in 30 years, expect this plan to triple in price. Moreover, don't ever expect any politician to be stupid enough to repeal healthcare for "poor kids." So, this plan will continue into eternity. If you want fiscal responsibility, let's have Congress send me a bill that really pays for poor kids, not well-off twenty-year-olds. Let's have Congress stop messing around, in the name of our Children.Related EditorialsABC News: Whose Body Is It, Anyway?

Mayor John J. Duran and West Hollywood's Resolution to Impeach George Bush and Dick Cheney
    2007-07-22 23:04:00
Liberalism stands for the proposition that intentions and desires are always more important than results. This is why liberals almost always support failing endeavors so long as there were good intentions behind it. In the political arena, this phenomenon is magnified by liberal politicians; their continued support for failing policies demonstrates they are suffering from collective amnesia. While in the past, liberals solely engaged in economic malfeasance, liberal politicians today have demonstrated that they stand for nothing more than meaningless gestures. Evidently, that fact extends far beyond Congress, and is now leaching into our city councils. For example, West Hollywood Mayor John J. Duran said his city joined 80 other U.S. towns or cities in the political effort to protect constitutional ideals. What were those “constitutional ideals?” Well, Duran felt that it was the place for West Hollywood officials to pass a resolution calling for the impeachment of Presid...

George Bush Appropriately Commutes Lewis "Scooter" Libby's Sentence
    2007-07-03 22:33:00
Of all the reckless decisions George Bush has made over the past six years, commuting Lewis “Scooter” Libby’s 2 ½ -year sentence is not one of them. In fact, ensuring that Scooter Libby would not spend the next two years in prison is very prudent. Nevertheless, listening to Republican strategists defend Bush’s actions on television is like watching amateur hour. Allow me briefly to explain why this is an easily defensible position. To put this entire story into context, this nonsense started because of Richard Armitage. Armitage was the deputy secretary of state under Colin Powell. He spoke casually to Robert Novack about Valarie Plame, a CIA employee. There was no evidence from the conversation that anything malicious took place. It was more careless than anything else. Subsequently, Novack mentioned what Armitage told him in a July 2003 column, which resulted in a major inquiry into whether or not any laws were violated. After the Valarie Plame inquiry started,...

Definitely a lame duck: George W. Bush
    2007-06-28 15:52:00
President George W. Bush, following the defeat of the Comprehensive Immigration Reform bill, is undoubtedly a lame duck and has no political capital or clout left.INFLUENTIAL? I THINK NOT.Proving that our President is a lame duck, the Senate today blocked the Immigration bill for a second time, which tells me that George Bush has lost all the political capital, political clout, and influence he had left. Barely changing any minds, the President must now realize that the GOP is abandoning his leadership because of his tremendous unpopularity and his astounding incompetence. Throughout history it has been said that the President's real power was the influence he dutifully carried, but now that seems not to be the case.WHY HAS HE LOST HIS INFLUENCE?President Bush has totally lost his influence because of his unwillingness to listen and his poor job performance. Finally, the American people have come to their senses and realized that we can make America better if we ask our leaders to choose what's right over what the parties think is right. Our leaders are afraid of losing their jobs, if you remember from A Feverish America (The spotlight series that finished just recently), so if we threaten them with the power of our votes we can truly improve the nation....

A Feverish America, Part 5: President George W. Bush
    2007-06-25 19:01:00
A Feverish America continues with the incompetence of the current President.NOT THE PEOPLE'S PRESIDENTBetraying the people has become all too common in the Administration of President George W. Bush, who may simply be one of the most ignorant Chief Executives in history. For example, Bush led the country into a war that was unnecessary, to attack and pursue an enemy that did not threaten us. Bush has also betrayed the middle class by playing to the needs and interests of the rich, who are the only ones benefitting from the President's policies.Constantly and consistently, President Bush has chosen to listen to companies and special interests over people, to business over Americans. Our laughable, incapable-of-leading President has turned his back on us, his employers. He is advised by the gas people on global warming, by chemical manufacturers on chemicals, and by pharmacutical companies on perscription drugs. There's no ounce of common sense in this guy. Not one. I wonder how he can live with himself after knowingly betraying and injuring the people of this great nation and our system.IN BLATANT DEFIANCE OF THE CONSTITUTIONGeorge W. Bush has absolutely no respect or regard for the Supreme Law of the Land. He has ignored and disobeyed the provisions of the Constitution by barely enforcing and enacting the laws passed by Congress and signed by him. See, that's the reason he has only vetoed 3 bills. Because he knows that no one will come after him for not putting laws he signs into practice.Bush has also flown in the face of the Bill of Rights, which is the most important part of the Constitution as it helps preserve a Democracy. In his horrendous prisons all over the world, especially in the secret ones, Bush has actually authorized torture. Was that not criminalized in the Bill of Rights? As well, he has authorized spying on Americans!!! That is also illegal but it continues to this day!Our President deserves impeachment, but history will serve him with a much, ...

The Unholy Triangle: George Bush, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and al Qaeda
    2007-06-17 23:07:00
The topic below was originally posted on my blog, the Intrepid Liberal Journal as well as crossposted at the Independent Bloggers Alliance and Worldwide Sawdust.Foreign Affairs published a sobering article by Bruce Riedel in their May/June issue entitled, “al Qaeda Strikes Back.” Riedel, a Senior Fellow at the Saban Center for Middle East Policy at the Brookings Institution retired last year after 29 years with the CIA.Essentially, Riedel outlines al Qaeda’s resurgence while the Bush Administration has undermined our geopolitical position with their foolish war in Iraq. Hardly a dove, Riedel believes it is essential to our national security for al Qaeda to be “decapitated.” I agree with him. al Qaeda is a clear and present danger as a manifestation of radical Islam.Among the failings of the Bush Administration is how their incessant fear mongering has jaded Americans about the very real dangers of terrorism that still exist. What’s required is tough minded, realistic leader...

It’s Official: George Bush IS an idiot!
    2007-06-01 17:10:52
I’ve known this for a LONG time, and I am really glad to see someone like La Shawn Barber come out and say it as well… Bush has all but done this nation in, he is giving us away to his Mexican amigos and bleeding us to death in his version of the ‘Crusades’ of the middle ages… But at this moment, the open borders and the “Z” plan are going to hurt us more than anything else, and yes, I say in a loud and resounding voice, La Shawn is right, George Bush IS an IDIOT… It’s Official All these years, liberals were right about one thing: George Bush is an idiot. Video here. What a disappointment. Addendum: The backlash begins. (Thanks, Renee!) Update (6/1): President George W. Bush will go down in history as the man who ushered in a dramatic demographic shift that turned the United States into a Third World country, with a disappearing middle class, another poorly educated and poor underclass (this one much larger than the other ...

Abraham Lincoln, George Bush and Civil Liberties
    2007-05-27 20:25:00
A controversial Republican president during a time of war, utilizing controversial new powers. Many, even in his own political party, were outraged when he suspended the right of habeas corpus and imprisoned many without trial. Military tribunals were authorized to try suspects quickly; money was spent without congressional authorization. Who was this president? None other than the great Abraham Lincoln.Abraham Lincoln:• Suspended the writ of habeas corpus. [1]• Spent money without congressional authorization. [1]• Imprisoned 18,000 suspected Confederate sympathizers without trial. [1]• Conducted at least 4,271 trials by military commission. [2]George W. Bush:• Defined captured enemies as "enemy combatants". [3]• Denied "enemy combatants" habeas corpus. [3]• Tried "enemy combatants" through military tribunals. [3]No similarities there, right? Of course there could be more added to both presidents, but this list gets the idea across. So what can we learn from this?• Abra...
