| If you ask me where I go most often to watch movies, my answer will be The Cathay cinema. I personally love the seats in Cathay, the cushioned seats are much wider and make you feel more comfortable.The movies offered in Cathay are also much more different. Usually, GV will show all the movies that are hot in town. After I finished watching all of them, I will go to the Cathay movie to find other types of shows to watch. You may not believe but at some point of time during my holidays especially, I can really watch finish all the shows that are on the GV cinema’s list. That’s exactly how much I love about watching movies. I will say that Cathay movie offers more choices for me.But I do like GV as well. I’m comparing based on the usual seats and movies that the cinemas offered.The newest Cathay cinema is the one in Cathay building near Plaza Singapura at Dhoby Gaut. I went there a couple of times but I will say that the place is not very accessible and besides having a movie theatre, the building does not offer much. Cineleisure is more successful I supposed.Not long after, Golden village also came up with the GV Vivo city cinema where they offer GV max, Gold Class, Cinema Europa and New stadium. I am very impressed with the concept, it gives us a much better experience.I personally went to try out the Gold Class seats at Vivo City. I must say that the experience is terrific! It gives you the ultimate luxury. Before you go into the theatre, you get to enter a dining room where you can grab a bite or drink while waiting for the movie to start. Sometimes, you may have no place to go before the movie starts or you have reached too early, now you can actually have a nice seat or eat something while waiting. Such a wonderful thought!You are greeted politely when you enter and they treat you like a king! The place is lit with red lights and there is a mini-bar. The whole place looks so |
