| Keeping Your Golf Club On The Correct Swing Plane | | 2008-09-04 09:47:00 | | by: Sean CochranWe as golfers have heard the term swing plane many times during our golfing careers. But do we really know the definition of it and the bearing upon our golf swing?Recently, I had a conversation with Dean Reinmuth (top 30 teaching pro ranked by Golf Digest) and I think he described swing plane the best. Dean suggests to think of the swing plane as an imaginary circle. The imaginary circle that represents the swing plane is set at an angle. It is the path on which it is necessary for the club to travel in order to execute the swing correctly.Beginning at address, the clubhead and shaft should be positioned at the “bottom” of the swing plane. During takeaway into the backswing and at the transition point of the swing, the clubhead and shaft are to remain on the swing plane. These three phases of the swing represent the club traveling “up” the swing plane to “top” of it. Keep in mind the visual of the circle and the shaft of the club dissecting the shoulder dur... | | By: GOLF TOURNAMENT GIFTS | | |

| Tiger Woods won’t be holding a golf club until 2009! | | 2008-08-14 22:30:08 | | It looks like Tiger Woods won’t be holding a golf club until 2009 folks. Well, that’s what I expected after all those surgeries but the real bad news is for the PGA Tour sponsors.

| Sunset at Brisbane Golf Club - Sky Watch Friday | | 2008-05-08 17:49:00 | | Sunset at the Brisbane Golf ClubSky Watch FridayI was at a baptism in Brisbane this week, and the service ended with refreshments available at the Indooroopilly Golf Club. It was late afternoon by the time we arrived, and in the "Jacaranda room" I had an excellent view out to the west, where the sun was setting over the golf links. Somewhat surprisingly, the best framing I could find for the sunset was to zoom right in to 300mm, excluding the golf links entirely and silhouetting the mountains in the distance.Mountains in the distance withthe setting sunThe photo above was taken at about 4:30pm, before the sun began to set properly. I was walking through a doorway, and caught a glimpse of the mountains through the leaves of this plant. So, out came the camera for a quick shot! The leaves give an interesting tilt to the image, framing the mountains and drawing your eye along a diagonal path. This photo taken with the Fujifilm S9600 digital camera.
