| Scott Boras is Being a Greedy Bum | | 2008-08-27 16:16:00 | | Well, we always knew that, but today he and Pedro Alvarez have taken things to new heights. Scary heights for Pirates fans.--It's very complicated, but basically here's what happened today: Boras--who is unhappy with the lower-than-expected $6M signing bonus (it happened because Boras and Pirates couldn't do a deal, so Pedro stepped in and accepted the offer at the deadline) is trying to contend that Pedro did not, in fact, reach the agreement before midnight of the 15th.--That is garbage. | Greedy Green | | 2008-04-30 03:27:52 | | I read in Tasa's that Whole Food Market encourages its customers to bring their own bags by taking 5 cents to 10 cents off the bill for each. The same policy will be applied to Marks & Spencer's customers soon.clipped from news.bbc.co.ukMarks and Spencer is to begin charging its food shoppers for carrier bags.Customers will have to pay 5p for plastic bags, with the money raised going to an environmental charity.Chief executive Sir Stuart Rose said the company wanted to "make it easy for our customers to do their bit to help the environment".Campaigners say plastic bags damage the environment. Some 13bn are given free to UK shoppers every year, and they take an estimated 1,000 years to decay. As much as I support the being green spirit, I don't think that these supermarkets are playing fair. If 13 billions shopping bags are made for M&S each year, and now they stop producing them, imagine how much money the company saves?Let's say the cost per bag is 5 pence (or 5 cents), so stop | | By: Finally Woken | | |

| | Banks - Pillars of Society, or Greedy Charlatans | | 2008-03-31 11:08:50 | | To most people, even before governments, banks seem to represent all that is honest as an institution considered a pillar of society. Unfortunately, the banks are run by people, and unless correct checks and balances are introduced - and with appropriate powers to police them - they will do all they can to usurp the [...] | | By: Crosby Finance | | |
| | Toronto property - the greedy digs for more | | 2007-06-25 01:42:00 | | The Toronto Real Estate Board has estimated that the average home in Toronto cost about $383,000 last month, a story in itself but not for today. The land transfer tax on that totals just over $4,200. The new Toronto tax, which will be added to the original tax, will put the bill up another $1,900 to about $6,100.

| | Planned Parenthood: greedy, irresponsible, unsafe, and untruthful | | 2007-05-25 04:43:00 | | Planned Parenthood, the organization who has pioneered legal and wide-spread abortion and contraception, has been in hot water lately. The organization has stooped to an all-time stupid by threatening a lawsuit on a college student who posed as a 15-year-old impregnated by her 23-year-old boyfriend. Parenthood's employees ignored the obvious-- that is statutory rape! They also encouraged her to lie about her age and his. They are suing her for taping the incident without their consent! Serious accusations were also made against PP for the same problems back in 2002 by a group called Life Dynamics. I'm so glad one of the biggest "health care" organizations in the country really cares.Planned Parenthood's founder, Margaret Sanger, is the epitome of deception. Today, Planned Parenthood calls itself a "health care" organization and hopes to be one of the "10 best places to work and volunteer", but it hides an agenda that is both shocking and disturbing. From the very beginning PP has been an organization of malice, deceit, and ill-will. From Diane Dew:Sanger believed: -for the purpose of racial "purification," couples should be rewarded who chose sterilization. (Birth Control in America, The Career of Margaret Sanger, by David Kennedy, p. 117, quoting a 1923 Sanger speech).-the genetic makeup of the poor, and minorities, for example, was inferior. (Pivot of Civilization, by Margaret Sanger, 1922, p. 80) -the purpose in promoting birth control was "to create a race of thoroughbreds," she wrote in The Birth Control Review, Nov. 1921 (p. 2) -In Pivot of Civilization, Sanger referred to immigrants and poor folks as "human weeds," "reckless breeders," "spawning ... human beings who never should have been born."-Sanger's ultimate intention was to do away with all blacks.-"We do not want word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population," she said, "if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members." | | NFL getting greedy with video and audio | | 2007-05-19 22:25:00 | | The NFL is going to limit how much video and audio media sites may use. In their on going efforts to make people have to pay for everything about the game they are once again pissing me off. rumor has it you will owe royalties by 2009 if you think about the NFL...and at that time you may only think about the NFL for 25 seconds. clipped from www.jsonline.comNFL limits Web media By DON WALKERdwalker@journalsentinel.comThe National Football League this week announced a new policy intended to govern the ability of media Web sites to offer audio and video content. The NFL action is a reflection of the changes in technology and news gathering, and is a direct consequence of the popularity of a sport in which fans are looking for new ways to follow their respective teams.According to the new policy, credentialed Web sites can use up to 45 seconds per day of audio and/or video of interviews or press conferences involving NFL employees, including players and coaches, as well as practice foota | | By: TINO's Bloghouse | | |
| | I’ll post something good after my finals are over… don’t be greedy… :) | | 2007-05-19 14:26:11 | |
I’m a Pakistani kid who is 5 feet, 5 inches (my picture’s in the animated banner). When the movie Harold and Kumar go to White Castle opened up, I went to with a Korean friend to see it.
I went up to the ticket counter and said, “Two for Eddy and Mahmoud go to Burger King, please.”
Mahmoud isn’t my real name, but she said, “uhhh… we aren’t playing that.”
“It’s a joke,” I said.
She looked at my asian friend, finally got it, and started giggling. Then she said pointing to my friend, “He could pass, but you… you’re too short.”
