    Sharpest real estate drops in Haifa

    "The Israeli residential market has been unchanged in recent years, except in greater Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, where there has been a sharp rise in demand and prices," says Union Bank in a survey on the housing market. The bank says that the average apartment price has fallen 7% since April 2006. The average apartment price fell by 2% in the north, 7% in the Sharon region, and that the sharpest decline was in Haifa - 22.5%.In contrast, the average apartment rose by 10% in the south in the past two years, by 6% in Jerusalem, 3.4% in Tel Aviv, and 3.3% in the central region. ...

    Delek Real Estate buys Tel Aviv and Haifa properties

    DMR Properties (1995) Ltd., bought a five dunam (1.25-acre) lot on Hamasger Street in Tel Aviv for NIS 64 million. Vitania and DMR will own the lot in equal shares. The lot is zoned for an 18,000-square meter gross space office building. The companies plan to demolish the buildings occupying the site and build the office building. Delek Auto's board has authorized DMR to extend to Vitania a NIS 32 million five-year loan at Prime + 1% interest to buy its share of the lot. ...

    Haifa Wahbe in MoroccoWe have been bemused over the last few years with the number of visits we get on The View from Fez, seeking information about the famous Lebanese singer Haifa Wahbe. The usual search words are "Haifa Wahbe naked". Now while we have to admit that we can not pander to the prurient interests of young men with testosterone management issues, we can report that on her recent visit, the lightly clothed singer was as popular as ever.Every time Ms Wahbe visits Morocco there is some sort of "incident" and one has to wonder if they are not part of a very sophisticated campaign to keep her name and image in the headlines. On a previous visit Haifa declared she would never visit Morocco again.
