| | Half-Life 2: The Orange Box | | 2007-11-06 08:40:30 | | Eigentlich spiele ich ja überhaupt keine Computerspiele mehr. Angefangen hat das so ziemlich mit dem Kauf meines Gaming PC's, was ich heute noch gerne als "besten Zeitpunkt zum Aufhören mit dem Zocken" bezeichne. Früher habe ich mit meinen Freunden immer gerne Team Fortress Classic gespielt, ein ziemlich verrücktes Spiel mit sehr hohem Spaßfaktor. Irgendwann kam dann die Nachricht in der Szene, es würde "bald" ein Nachfolger kommen, Team Fortress 2. Auf diesen Nachfolger habe ich genau bis diesen Monat gewartet, es hat sich also locker mal um ein paar Jährchen hinausgezögert. Nun ist es also auf dem Markt und hat auch mich dazu veranlasst, den "alten Kram" mal wieder zu installieren, stundenlang Updates trotz DSL-Anbindung herunterzuladen und sich mal wieder so richtig schön über Steam zu ärgern.Auf der Rückseite der signalorangenen Verpackung steht so treffend "Ein Meilenstein in der Videospiel-Geschichte", dies kann ich so direkt unterschreiben. Es ist nämlich wirklich das erste Spiel, dass sich zwar tadellos installieren und updaten lässt, sogar einen Programmstart "vortäuscht", dann jedoch einfach nichts tut und somit nicht spielbar ist. Wenn es nicht gerade über veraltete Treiber meckert, obwohl zuvor die aktuellsten Treiber installiert wurden, lässt es hin und wieder einen kleinen Lichtblick zu. Ladebalken kommen, bleiben und gehen. - Mehr jedoch nicht.Das englischsprachige Support-Forum hilft mir da auch nur bedingt weiter, Leute beschweren sich dafür "50 Mäuse" hingeblättert zu haben, auf Lösungen zu diesem Problem warte ich jedoch vergeblich. Meine Freunde - die das Glück haben, dass das Spiel bei Ihnen funktioniert - sagen mir "Warte einfach, da kommt schon ein Update". Hierbei habe ich auch die wenigsten Bedenken, denn was Steam wirklich kann, ist Updaten.Vielleicht werde ich ja noch in den Weihnachtsferien, zwischen dem Lernen für das Abitur die Gelegenheit habe... | | By: Manu's Blog | | |

The suite, sold at retail and through Valve's Steam download service, will consist of the shooter sequel Half-Life 2: Episode Two, the team-based multiplayer game Team Fortress 2, and the action/puzzle game Portal. Valve is handling development of the games on PC and Xbox 360, with EA UK's Chertsey, Surrey office bringing the titles to PlayStation 3.
