| Hanley Still Limping, Probably Not Serious Though | | 2008-03-03 16:22:00 | | Hanley Ramirez tweaked his ankle yesterday in a collision with Yadier Molina of the Cardinals in a spring training game and still can't walk without a limp. However, Fredi Gonzalez isn't too worried and plans on having Ramirez in the lineup very soon. You never want to read about any sort of injury to your best player, even when it's just a minor one. Hopefully Hanley will get up and running soon without any complications, because if for any reason this is worse than we've been told, this team will win 40 games. | | By: State of Miami | | |

They’ve already become just the [...] | | By: The Pastime | | |

| Health Matter: Hanley Leaves Early With Shoulder Injury | | 2007-07-22 19:43:14 | |
Hanley Ramirez was removed in the bottom of the first inning after swinging and missing at a Bronson Arroyo curve ball. Immediately after missing Hanley dropped his bat, clutched his shoulder and headed towards the dugout. The way Hanley was clutching his shoulder and grimacing to the trainer it looked like he dislocated his shoulder on the swing.
The injury resembled the Dwyane Wade injury minus the crying and wheelchair circus.
Update: Frank Forte from the stadium is reporting Ramirez left with a shoulder subluxation. From the University of Michigan Sports Medicine Advisor: A shoulder subluxation is a temporary, partial dislocation of the shoulder joint. The shoulder is a ball-and-socket joint. The ball of the upper arm bone is normally held in the socket of the shoulder blade by a group of ligaments. Ligaments are strong bands of tissue that connect the bones. In a subluxation, the ball of the upper arm bone slips partially out of the shoulder socket.
