Its not really funny, but you know like when you know a pattern intricately, having seen it for so long now, that you can redict to the minutest detail what will happen? ... I can't help but smile.The gyms cant help but smile too, with the amount of yearly memberships they sell to people who only ever come to an average of 3.5 sessions before giving up and never being seen again.It is frustrating because the volumes of gym goers in Jan & early Feb every year reflects the true amount of people who "would like to be in better shape" 80% of whom will do 2-4 sessions in the new Year and then lapse back into apathy about their health & fitness. That I find frustrating in the extreme. Nothing gives me greater pleasure than helping a new client through the initial introdution to working out, losing weight, getting fitter, and seeing someone begin to start to actually like it, and then as the results really kick in, you actually see the lifetsyle shift happen, and people can do it for themselves.Conversely nothing frustrates me more than to see someone start out 110% and fade into a drizzle of excuses, cancellations and the self loathing that must invariably follow until this time next year when it's time to pretend to care enough to do something again.For this reason, whereas I am sure a lot of personal trainers are rubbing their hands looking forwards to the January rush for the new business it brings, this year I've decided to take the (possibly contraversial?) decision not to take on any new Clients at all in January.This year, as we only want to work with people who are serious about wanting to improve their health long term, and we just dont have enough time any more for all introductory meetings, chats & sessions and get-to-knows with people despite every effort on out behalf were never really serious and j | | By: Ibiza Personal Trainer | | |

Also, I need to set up a new blog on Wordpress because Blogger has pretty much outlived it's usefulness for me, I need a separate blog page for reviews since I have been accepted into the Parent Bloggers Network, and I need to put up a sewing section on the new blog.Also, since we have financially challenged recently and we have stopped eating out John and I have managed to lose about 7 pounds (Anna has lost a few herself). | Belated Merry Christmas and Happy New Year | | 2007-12-27 00:35:06 | | Sorry I haven't wished everyone a Merry Christmas but I have been very busy. Also sorry I haven't been updating much but apart from being busy I have also been feeling a bit burnt out with kimkins and have been spending lots of time trying to help with the cause where I can. I haven't really known what to blog about.Anyway I wanted to share my Christmas present with you guys, Garry booked me in for a joy flight in an old warbird, I was packing it at first but it was really fun and left me wanting more :)Here is a pic of my parachute, you will notice there is padding down the bottom as the seats in the plane are just metal bucket seats:Here's a pic of me in the plane that the pilot took, it didn't turn out very good in that it it was very washed out/bright on me so I tried to fix it up a little but I don't know how to use photoshop so this will have to do lolThis is one of the plane just before we start to go down the runway:Here is a pic of Maya whom is a little scared of what was going on at first.
