    Dealing With Headaches During Pregnancy
    2008-06-08 21:55:03
Although we still do not entirely understand headaches one thing that we do know is that two of the commonest types of headache - tension and migraine headaches - are far more commonly seen in women, which suggests that hormones play an important part in the onset of headaches. So, since hormone levels fluctuate wildly during pregnancy, it is no surprise to find that women frequently suffer from headaches at this time. Headaches are particular common during the early stages of pregnancy and tend to reduce during the second and third trimester as hormone levels begin to settle down. The good news however is that women do not simply have to put up with headaches while they are carrying and there is a lot which can be done to both prevent and treat them. Stress is one thing which can trigger a headache and most women would probably agree that pregnancy is a stressful time. This can be eased considerably however with both gentle exercise and also with meditation. Rest is also important bec...

Causes And Remedy Of Frequent Headaches
    2008-05-29 04:22:59
by Cindy HellerHeadaches are one of the most common reasons people seek medical help. Headaches are a common cause of suffering, but all headaches are not created equal. For example, a migraine is a splitting headache that just seems to set in apparently caused by no reason at all. If you have a stable pattern of recurring headaches accompanied by nausea at least some of the time, you probably have migraine. The symptoms accompany the headache including nausea, vomiting, or the feeling that light bothers the eyes (photophobia) or sound bothers the ears (phonophobia). Some people seem prone to migraine headaches, others get tension headaches, sinus headaches or cluster headaches. Once the pain of headache sets in, it is sheer agony. Headaches are diagnosed based on symptoms. No procedure can determine the diagnosis. If you're not sure what triggers your headaches, you may want to start keeping a record. People who get headaches are thought to have an inherited abnormality in the regulat...

Quandary of Being a Woman and Having Hormones and Headaches
    2008-04-22 06:08:06
It is a little known (or little recognized) fact that women experience are more likely to experience headaches than men do. Science believes that women may have more painful headaches than men, as well. Naturally, there are a number of factors that come into play when considering an individual's chances of developing headaches, and the frequency of such problems. Age, genetics, and family history can all play a role, but for women, there are a couple of other factors to be considered. Hormone levels and birth control pills (which tamper with current levels or introduce synthetic hormones to the body) are both possible factors in the headache equation. As stated, there are several factors that can play a role in someone's chances of getting headaches. For example, age appears to be a big factor. The older one gets, theoretically, the more prone one is to experiencing headaches. People with a family history of being susceptible to the problem are also at increased risk, though whe...

    Headaches, Forms and Scholarship.
    2008-04-07 08:58:13
My head ached so much that I just wanna throw my head, that if it is reattachable, to the wall. Ayah was telling me to fill this and that forms, and Abang Khairul was calling Ayah up, telling what kind of forms should I fill in. It's great that they cared for me, but I'm having a headache just filling up these forms. One, asking some stupid questions, while others wanted my co-curriculum activities, which for me, so far, isn't the best thing that had ever happened to me. It was so frustrating, knowing with that kind of results, you can achieve your dreams, but, your dreams simply were blocked by one subject mainly named "Additional Maths". And jobs not related to it, was the one needed Additional Maths the most. What ever is happening in our CRUEL world!?As I was filling out this form from the Security Commissions, I was stumbled that it required an essay on what of my past achievements, what can I contribute to them, and on what is actually I can do to the world and so on. So, guys, a...

    Insurance: HIPPA Headaches.
    2007-11-19 00:43:00
Don't you just love government red tape? This time the bureaucratic process has given us a real doozy--it's called the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act or HIPAA for short. And the unintended affects of HIPPA could have a dramatic effect on you. HIPAA legislation took effect in April of 2001. It set national standards for the protection of 'individually identifiable health information.' Specifically, the Rule relates to how health care organizations share and divulge medical information. There are good reasons for these new protections. They are designed to prevent unauthorized invasions into your medical privacy. If you've ever received a letter from a drug company marketing their solution to one of your ailments, chances are the information was purchased from your pharmacy making them aware of your condition. The new HIPAA regulations are designed to prevent this and other unauthorized releases of your medical information. Basically, health care provider...

    Sleeping Relieves Headaches
    2007-05-16 21:55:35
For people who suffer headaches ever so often, some may be due to lack of sleep. Many people abuse their body system and a lot has to do with the proper rest required for bodies to regenerate and function properly. Sleeping is perhaps one of the more common issues we have today. Lacking in sleep will lead towards migraines and headaches, making the day all the more despicable to people who want to carry out their chores and routines in the normal manner that they are inclined to be. There are people who just cannot seem to kick the habit. A lot has to do with stress and work-related matters. Some resort to medication such as aspirin or other known medical pills that can take away the pain. But these are only temporary and continuous reliance on them may immune body systems making them entirely useless. The fact of the matter is that headaches stem from something such as bodily abuse of proper respite. People need not look further at times. Checking out their next sleeping hour schedul...
