We learned of this after promoter Jarvis Robinson called Ralph to invite him to fight at his upcoming event and was told that he had been killed. Jarvis then [...]... | | By: Fight News Unlimited
| | | British Heavyweight Boxing | | 2008-07-29 03:00:01 | | British Heavyweight Boxing was written by John Millward Boxing promoter Frank Warren must be furious. The ‘spectacle’ that was presented to the viewing public, never mind the paying fans inside London’s ExCel arena, on Saturday 10 th Dec 2005 was a diabolical demonstration of exactly how far heavyweight boxing has fallen. For seemingly the first time in years, terrestrial television was broadcasting a boxing match in a prime time viewing slot - Mainly, one suspects, down to the efforts of ... | | By: Boxing - Fighting Center | | |

Dear Chris,
Congratulations on your win last weekend against Chazz Whitherspoon. I honestly didn’t agree with the referee’s decision to disqualify Chazz. Hell, I really wasn’t impressed by anything you did.
I think it’s time for us to determine who America’s top heavyweight prospect is. There’s been [...]... | | By: Fight News Unlimited

| | Heavyweight Alienware Notebook Performer | | 2008-05-06 22:29:46 | | Alienware newest offer to the high end notebook consumer is the Area-51® m17x. It’s a 17 inch notebook that weighs a whopping 4.8 kg or about 10.5lbs. It is unknown whether the weight is for the basic model or the full fledged model with all the included Alienware bell & whistles. It’s certainly not a notebook that one would want to carry about while doing some window shopping, going to movies, or on the move at work. I once carried a 2kg notebook. Let me tell you that on its own, it’s fine to carry. However, once you add the wiring like the power socket, the charger, the mouse, & etc; the small items do add up! I ended up with a sore back walking a few kilometers with a fully loaded notebook bag! So you may not want to lug about a 5kg notebook on your leisure walks.... | | By: internet executive log | | |
| | Samsung G800 Review - A Heavyweight Contender | | 2008-01-28 11:01:57 | | The Samsung G800 is one of the main handsets which I’ve been looking forward to scrutinising since its announcement. The main attraction (and marketing angle) is it being the first of the 5 Mega Pixel cameraphones to come with optical zoom, but that doesn’t even cover half the story.

| | UFC's Light Heavyweight Division | | 2008-01-13 13:10:11 | | The light heavyweight division is arguably the UFC’s strongest division. With all the talent available, it would be nice to examine which fighters are in the title hunt, which fighters are in the gray area, and which fighters are not in the title hunt. Although not meant to be a true ranking of light heavyweights, these categories can help us determine who is closest to the title and who is farthest away. The list of 16 fighters was taken from a joint UFC 75/76 website designed to examine the top 16 LHWs in the UFC. (Originally written for MMA Madness)In title contention:Rampage Jackson: Jackson is the most obvious choice. After all, he’s the champion. He won big at UFC 75, earned himself a coaching spot on The Ultimate Fighter, and remains as entertaining as ever.Forrest Griffin: After some back and forth efforts earlier in his career, Forrest rebounded in a big way with a slick submission victory over top ranked Mauricio Rua. This earned him a spot coaching next to Rampage and a title shot following TUF 7.Lyoto Machida: Machida proved that he is the real deal with a quick submission of newcomer Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou at UFC 79. He’s been beating opponents up in the UFC for a few months now but due to his methodical style, not many fans have taken notice. They should now.Chuck Liddell: The Iceman represents the first in a slew of contenders about one win away from legitimizing a title shot. Although he suffered a bad loss to Rampage and was decisioned by Keith Jardine, Liddell dominated Wanderlei Silva during their bout at UFC 79. He’s definitely back on the upswing.Dan Henderson: Henderson didn’t lose too badly to Rampage and it’s a shame that his introduction to UFC fans was in defeat. However, before the big Wanderlei knockout, Hendo was known as “Decision Dan.” He’ll have to shed that moniker and rack up a win or two before being considered for another shot at gold. Of course, now that he’s dropping down to the middleweight division, will... | | By: The Irish Whip | | |
| | UFC 75: Quinton “Rampage” Jackson Defeats Dan Henderson, Unifies the UFC and Pride Light Heavyweight Belts | | 2007-09-09 06:31:54 | | UFC 75 had very entertaining fights.Mirko CroCop failed to redeem himself against Cheick Kongo after his most recent loss to Gabriel Gonzaga. In the beginning of the match, CroCop kept Kongo backpedaling. This aggressive style seemed to work well and allowed him to totally neutralize Kongo. Amazingly, Mirko was able to put Kongo in a full mount and almost achieved an armbar in the skirmish. In the second round, however, Cheick Kongo came out on the attack and scored a takedown. He also demonstrated a pretty decent ground game. When the two rose again, Kongo landed some devastating knees to the body in the clinch. In the final round, Crocop got kneed in the groin, but Kongo was relentless. Consequently, Crocop was simply reacting to the onslaught instead of being the aggressor. To be honest, he looked very slow and it appears he has passed his prime. Nevertheless, he left us with some great memories.Later on the card, the fight between Michael Bisping and Matt Hamill was very en... | | By: Copious Dissent - Your Daily Dose of Liberty | | |
| | New World Heavyweight Champ: The Great Khali | | 2007-07-18 02:45:00 | | According to several sources, in the main event of the Smackdown tapings tonight The Great Khali will win the vacated World Heavyweight Championship. This is absolutely ATROCIOUS and the WWE should know better than this...here's why.World Championships have always been precious in the WWE. They recognize those who have dedicated their lives to the wrestling business and have fought for every bit of their success. Remember how emotional it was when Chris Benoit finally won this title at Wrestlemania XX? Or when Rey Mysterio was finally the top wrestler on the show last year? Winning the World Heavyweight Championship was a well-deserved reward for both of these guys. The Great Khali is none of the following things: entertaining, experienced, interesting, or over with the crowd. He is only this: really tall. Why not crown this guy World Champion?I am very concerned that Khali winning the World Heavyweight Championship diminishes its importance. Let's take a look at all of the wr... | | By: The Irish Whip | | |
| | Flyers hunting for heavyweight | | 2007-07-17 21:52:33 | | Chuck Gormley of the Courier-Post Online reports that the Philadelphia Flyers remain in search for an enforcer.
According to Gormley, Flyers GM Paul Holmgren tried to “sign restricted free agent Derek Boogaard away from the Minnesota Wild,” but the Wild retained his rights. Boogaard is six feet and seven inches tall and weighs 250 pounds.
Holmgren has also expressed an interest in veteran tough guy Chris Simon. The unrestricted free agent forward stands six feet and four inches tall, and weighs 235 pounds.
Whoever the Flyers will bring in to drop the gloves, they will have to do it on the cheap as the club sits about $800,000 under the NHL’s salary cap. Holmgren has said “he would like to keep that cushion.” The Flyers GM also said that he would not be opposed to entering “training camp with the team’s current roster.”
