    Sonic the Hedgehog

Games have become so cinematic these days, so much more story-driven, flashier, prettier. I applaud the advances, I enjoy them, even, but I just don’t have the time to delve into all of those games. I still like to read news about new games, but I hardly have time to more than sample them. I’ve played Gears of War and Assassin’s Creed, and a bunch of Wii games, but I’m just not ready to commit to buying a new system. I figure they’ll all be waiting for me in ten years and for cheap, anyway. Sometimes I think that there is an undue emphasis on graphics, but for the most part, I like the added depth of video games. We’re a long way from the princess being in another castle. I still remember the first time I saw the beautiful cinematics of Final Fantasy IX, and experienced the Metal Gear Solid storyline. Hell, I still remember slogging through hours upon hours of random battles in Final Fantasy VI just to further the story. And damn was it worth it. I still don’t kno...

    Porcupine or Hedgehog
    2008-03-12 23:06:00
I started writing about porcupines because of the overly cute photo to the left of baby porcupines. I soon found out that porcupines are much more of a joke subject in England than in the US. Apparently on the other side of the pond, hedgehogs are famous roadkill, somewhat in the way we regard possums. We Yanks really don't care who hogs our hedges. A Pork-You-Pine is sorta like a pig with pine needles, see? Always go with the overly simplistic. And we avoid porcupines as much as possible, while the British will even adopt a hedgehog. Then, since I wrote this intro a couple of years ago, I found out that hedgehogs and porcupines aren't even related! Baby Porcupine Eats Bananas Anyway, the jokes I found were all British, a little hard for Americans to understand. I consulted Wulfweard the White (who knows everything) about hedgehogs. So please read the following with a British accent: St Tiggy-winkles is an animal sanctuary in Britain originally set up to care for sick hedge...

    Cosplay: Sonic the Hedgehog
    2008-02-06 23:11:00
Guys in Mickey Mouse costumes at Disney World are disturbing, but that’s nothing compared to this Sonic cosplay. Sonic’s just, not human, and certainly not female. This is wrong in so many levels. I dig the huge ring, though. What the… isn’t this the same chick dressed as Sonic above? Something is wrong with her. I guess this costume is a little better, but still messed up. Why not make a plastic echidna mask instead of showing her real face? Now this Eggman cosplay is either the best or the worst so far. He looks like the character art, but just wanting to dress as Eggman (aka Dr. Robotnik) should be illegal. Someone please put him out of his misery....
