Future Of Boxing And Holographic Projection
    2008-07-29 07:00:01
Future Of Boxing And Holographic Projection was written by Lance Winslow from WorldThinkTank.netxBoxing is a sport where men and sometimes very tough women get into a ring and knock the ever-living crap out of each other. It is a test of will, stamina and strength. Some say the one-on-one nature is the epitome of what sports competition is. To watch two people go through the rounds of boxing match seems to be something that we all can relate with, whether it is symbolic of life or our innate com...

Big Bang Is Holographic Projection Of Universe
    2007-09-02 19:09:20
The entire physical universe is a holographic projection of light from a single point out of nowhere that became everywhere. A hologram is created by the merging of two perpendicular laser beams with an image on a photographic plate and projecting it outwards as a three dimensional form of light. Physical matter is made of [...]...

    Holographic Video
    2007-07-04 13:02:42
Could the technology that MIT’s Michael Bove is working on change computer displays as we know them today? It wasn’t long ago that LCD flat screens took the market over. Are we going to see a similar change when Holographic Video technology matures? “The Media Lab’s video holograms appear to float above a piece of frosted glass. An electronic device behind the glass, called a light modulator, reproduces interference patterns that encode information about the pictured object. Laser light striking the modulator scatters just as it would if it were reflecting off the object at different angles. A holographic video begins with a computed 3-D model of some moving object or scene. This model “can be thought of as having a whole lot of points on its surface at different depths that change over time,” Bove says. To make that model holographic, a computer needs to figure out the intensity of the light that would be reflected from each point on the objec...
