| Vertical and Horizontal strip calendar for your monitor | | 2008-04-29 01:08:02 | | No, this isn't a calendar software for your desktop. This is a real paper calendar specially designed for sticking it to the sides of the monitor. It comes in two different formats - a horizontal one and a vertical one. These calendars also come in two different sizes - a regular size which is about 10.5 inches long and 1 inch wide and a legal size which is about 13 inches long and 1.30 inches wide.
Download the PDF files and print it out.

| | Horizontal Menu and Navigation Bar | | 2007-08-10 14:37:00 | | Many web designs use horizontal menu bar and navigation lists which allow users to easily access the pertinent information in their website. While Blogger makes it simple for you to create a link list through their “Add a Page Element” function, the list is displayed vertically. We shall discuss how you can change that into a horizontal link list, and more specifically, use that as a navigation

| | Horizontal Menus for Blogs | | 2007-07-08 07:57:00 | | I have returned from a very welcome, if damp, few days in the mountains near Melbourne. This will give me a good excuse to use some of the photos I took and introduce some more techniques for incorporating them into blogs.I was under strict instructions not to use the internet while away - which was not hard as there was no connection. I did spend a little time finishing off a tutorial on styling navigation menus though. The rest was spent generally relaxing in front of a roaring fire and playing board games and pool with the family. So as not to make this blog too heavy on coding, I have created the tutorial on my own server. You can find it here:Horizontal Navigation TutorialI have used the color names for the examples, rather than numbers (hex codes), to make the tutorial more understandable. It is best to use color numbers (hex codes) to ensure all browsers display the same. You can find an excellent comprehensive list of html colors in a recent blog post on the Color Lovers site a | | By: Blogging Sueblimely | | |

This presents a problem however, for us standards based coders when we try and combine the two practices.
How do we ensure that our horizontal navigation fits with in our liquid design beyond simply centering it?
Searching the internet I was never able to find a solution, until one day it struck me. So simple, yet I had yet to see it?
Start with foundation
Like any navigation, we will start with a list - after all, navigation is simply a list of pages that you can browse through.
