I started to make it at the same day I bought its cross stitch kit and almost everyday I worked on it except to do chores or was out. Yeah I was abit in rush to finish it because I wanted it done faster before my trip (yes I am going somewhere.. ) Wild Horse on the River Cross-Stitch PatternBut this is worthy.. I feel so happy and great after I finished it and stare at the pattern. It looks so beautiful and nice also looks so natural even it just made of flosses. I imagine what if it is in a beautiful carving frame and hang on the wall.. I believe it would be looked so great. I didn't have it in a frame because I made this cross stitch not for myself but for a friend who ordered it. | ROUSH develops vehicle to increase horse power | | 2008-07-01 12:15:00 | | We wind up behind horse's asses every day on the interstate, but ROUSH has developed a vehicle with a rear-mounted cabin for the express purpose of towing a crew of three around while staring at the business end of an actual Equus caballus. ROUSH Technologies is more than just mechanical Mustangs, and the company has proved it by developing an equine training vehicle for Kurt Systems, a Turkish racehorse and camel training equipment company. The vehicle has an open front stall where the animal can run, and a rear mounted cabin that allows a driver, a veterinarian and a trainer to keep a keen eye on vital signs. The suspension is partially F-150 based, while power is provided by Volvo's 2.4-liter five-cylinder engine hooked up to an automatic transmission and driving through some reduction hardware. The vehicle will start serial production soon; in an odd sort of irony, ROUSH is even further tied to fast horses now. | Pony rides at Horse City | | 2008-06-21 04:28:31 | | Pony rides are now available at Horse City. I was there this morning for yoga at Om Shiva Yoga, and there were kids being led around the beautiful big fig tree opposite Picotin. In truth, the "pony" looked more like a horse to me; it was definitely no Shetland pony, but nevertheless, the children were enjoying the experience. Rides are $2 which seems reasonable, although I think they are only led around the tree once. You can also book the ponies for parties and functions. It is a public holiday today (Vesak Day) so there were lots of people having breakfast at Picotin and it was great to see the whole area alive and buzzing. I must try breakfast here one day as it is a lovely spot and I have heard from friends that the food is very good. You could describe the restaurant/bistro as casually chic, with a shaded al fresco dining area which is perfect for breakfast. It is great if you are with kids as there are no cars in the area and it is quite open and safe. Kids had bikes and scooters | | By: SINGAPORE KIDS PLACES

| Time to get clean - Great Horse Washing Advice | | 2008-06-12 22:42:00 | | Its show time!! Well, it will be after I get my horse washed and cleaned up. Why is it, that the harder you try to keep them clean (and grays are the worst), the dirtier they become??Wel, I can't answer that. But I can give you a few hints on better washing technique, and how to avoid some of those show day mishaps (or at least how to cope with them). Here is some equipment I like to have handy on washing day: - hose with adjustable jet, bucket, sponge, dandy brush, comb, body scraper, scissors, gum boots, hair bands (or horse bands), clean dry rugs, skinny hood (if required), vinegar (I will explain) and of course suitable shampoos, conditioners and highlighters. Here is the procedure I have used for the 'day before' show washing of many State and National champions:1. Brush or remove and obvious dirt, grass or twigs from your horse. This includes the tail.2. Make sure your horse is securely tied in a suitable area (cement based washing bays, are great).3. | Jockey's son is real horse racing winner | | 2008-06-07 17:52:00 | | Even if Big Brown had won horse racing’s Triple Crown on Saturday, he would not have been the real winner.Nor would have the owner, trainer, jockey or anyone else but one young 9-year-old boy.No matter what happened, the biggest hero at Belmont was Jacob Desormeaux, the son of Big Brown’s jockey Kent Desormeaux.Check out this story about Kent Desormeaux on cbsnews.com:His youngest son was born with a rare genetic disorder called Usher Syndrome. Now nine years old, Jacob Desormeaux is deaf and will probably be blind by adulthood. But in the Desormeaux "circle of life," the child has taught his parents. "The little things we take for granted, he makes us stop and notice those things because he does it himself,'" mother Sonia Desormeaux said."Because of Jacob, I go out there and I give all I got. I give you my best," Kent Desormeaux said. We can only hope and pray Jacob Desormeaux never loses his sight. | There is some big horse race today | | 2008-06-07 06:00:57 | |
I have to interrupt our daily discussion of the Giants today to recognize that history could be made in a different sport today.
Big Brown goes to the post this afternoon at the Belmont Stakes, aiming to become horse racing's first Triple Crown winner since Affirmed in 1978.
My good buddy Rick Snider, a long time turf writer, has agreed to give us his pick for today. Here it is.
Big Brown is a big lukewarm pick to become a Triple Crown champion on Saturday in the Belmont Stakes. I've covered racing for 25 years and personally watched the last eight crown-seekers lose and a lot of them were better than Big Brown. Unlike many of the other failed champions, Big Brown has no major competition. Casino Drive and Macho Again are the top contenders, and value wise I would take Macho Again in the exacta and Casino Drive in the triple. If you're game, put Macho Again on top for $2 and you might cash for a lot of money. Bad things happen on the racetrack all the time. Dumb rides, injur | | By: Big Blue View

| Iron Horse Triumph 5.0 Adult Road Bike | | 2008-05-21 21:50:45 | | Great value
A nice looking bike with good components. Minor assembly and tweaking needed to get it on the road. I'm a novice with bike tinkering, but was able to tune it myself and now it shifts like a dream. The wheels are a bit on the chincy side, but otherwise, a solid ride. At 6'3", the 61cm frame fits well.

| Power Horse Energy Drink | | 2008-05-15 08:16:00 | | "This Could Get Ugly"New ads fro Power Horse energy drink from the advertising agency Saatchi & Saatchi out of Auckland, New Zealand and art director Anthony Hatton. The line "This could get ugly" is so good it makes you think off all the stuff that could go wrong with each situation. I especially like the kindergarten one because I know how crazy little kids are when they get a bit to much energy. Although all the very subtle things going on in the prison one, I think, make it the one with the best art direction.

| Taxpayers' cart put before bankers' lame horse! | | 2008-04-22 06:59:31 | | Last night on Channel 4 News there was a chap from the Leek Building Society talking to Jon Snow. Snow is like Paxman. "If you're going to drop cash in the ocean, how much is needed?" The answer seemed less than satisfactory, but he did say one thing that I thought, well, that sums it all up.This money is to rebuild confidence. Apparently, it's all down to us, the suckers who feel we can't trust the banks. It's all our fault! We should be thinking more positively. House prices aren't falling, it's all a bad dream. But when this money finally comes across from the sticky fingers of Mervyn King and his coffer keepers, we are all to be good boys and girls. | Przewalski's Truly Wild Horse | | 2008-03-31 21:59:00 | | A long winter is ending on the steppe grasslands of Mongolia. This is home to a wild animal the Mongolians know as takhi - the spirits. Westerners call them Przewalski's horses. They're the only true wild horses in the world. Other so-called wild horses are domesticated horses which have reverted to a feral existence.Takhi are distinguished by short upright manes and stripes on the backs of their legs.
