| | Energy, the Environment, and Political Hypocrisy | | 2008-05-03 21:47:00 | | One of the more interesting political sideshows last week concerns the federal gas tax, which is assessed by the federal government to pay for the nation's transportation infrastructure. Revenue generated by the gas tax pays for new roads, tunnels, and bridges; repairing old or damaged ones; and conducting research to determine how and where to build new ones. Currently, the federal gas tax is 18.4 cents per gallon.Obviously, the more gas you buy, the more you pay in gas taxes. Some liberals have suggested increasing the gas tax as a way of driving down demand. This, they argue, would result in a cleaner environment and less dependence on foreign sources of oil. It's hard for politicians to not be in favor of either of these issues, especially the latter one because there is a major national security advantage to not having to rely on oil from nations that are either unstable or hostile towards the United States. Both John McCain and Hillary Clinton have stated countless times th | | By: The 7-10 | | |
| | The Hypocrisy in the media and the Ron Paul run for the Presidency. | | 2008-04-21 17:12:00 | | Ah the mainstream media of today. The more that the internet becomes the premier place of knowledge of the youth, the more they try to manipulate their current viewers to think that any information outside of what they tell you, is absurd.Perfect example of this is none other than Faux News ( Fox News ). They have become the hardcore neo-conservative media outlet that caters to corporations & the publics discourse to dismiss those with a " free-think " view as loons and those with their agenda as " patriotic. "Keep this one note in mind: Neo-Conservatives ( Like this current administration ) are NOT real Republicans. They are Fascists in the disguise of Republicans. Many out there can write novels on this particular station, but I won't waste my time on their disgusting antics of cutting peoples mics off, shouting down their guests, and using movements that a well trained person of Neuro-linguistic programming ( NLP ) could easily identify them as using to manipulate their view | | By: The Pissed Off Citizen | | |

| And so the blogging begins... Pope, Ivy League & Hypocrisy. | | 2008-04-20 22:13:00 | | Before getting into things, I'd like to mention first that I will try and maintain at least 1 post per day. I suggest you subscribe in the RSS to keep updated and of course, vote for me at the bottom ;-)Now let's get this started * Cracks knuckles *The big news this weekend all over the tube was the Pope's visit to N.Y.C. Everything seemed to go smoothly as far as traveling and visits, which is always good. I'm not a cynic but this is NYC with a highly known figure in a time where this particular government has everyone fearing for their lives about every little thing. It seems that there were mixed reviews on his arrival. Some saying that it is a great thing, others wondering, why now? Personally, I look at it as a mixed blessing in this sense: In the time we are in ( Labeling Muslims as terrorists, claiming Iran is building a nuclear bomb to bomb everyone, etc. ) that we would have the Pope to rise and say " Everything will be ok because I say so. "Why would I see it this way? Si | | By: The Pissed Off Citizen | | |
| | Olympic boycott a hypocrisy: Guardian | | 2008-03-26 00:09:36 | | I have been trying to avoid writing about the various protests and controversies going on over the Beijing Olympics. I still read all of the articles and feel empathy to all sides. However, I do feel a little disappointed that just now people’s grievances of China hosting the Olympic Games are just starting [...] | | By: Beijing Olympics 2008 | | |
| | New Television Ad Targets Al Gore’s Global Warming Hypocrisy | | 2008-03-12 20:52:22 | | It seems as though Al Gore’s contrived, made-for-profit environmental crisis may be losing some steam. At least I hope so. A new national ad campaign is targeting Al Gore’s hypocrisy when it comes to saving the planet. Usually this type of campaign is relegated to people running for office. But in this case, Al Gore [...] | | By: Wake Up America | | |

| Hate Mongering Ken Ham’s Racial Hypocrisy | | 2008-02-22 19:39:43 | | Last night, PZ has just informed me about a new idiot book Ham wrote entitled, Darwin’s [sic] Plantation: Evolution’s Racist Roots, where the tag line reads,
“Although racism did not begin with Darwinism, Darwin did more than any person to popularize it.”
Since when did Darwin popularized it?– Nope. Better yet: why does Ken Ham ignore the [...] | | By: Dinosaurs and The Bible A Creationist's Fairy Tale | | |
| | Romney Antipathy and Republican Hypocrisy | | 2008-02-01 11:13:00 | | Mitt Romney has emerged as John McCain's final rival for the Republican nomination. However, despite all of Romney's advantages, McCain is well positioned to demolish him on Super Tuesday and become the de facto Republican presidential nominee. This is all the more striking given how strong Romney appears to be on paper and how much dissatisfaction the conservative punditry has for McCain. Even those who might be sympathetic towards Romney are writing him off, as this article by Stephen Hayes of the Weekly Standard suggests. So in this post I'll address why Romney has struggled so much and why so many people simply don't care much for him or his campaign. And I'll also address how these reasons for knocking Romney make his Republican detractors look like, well, Democrats. For starters, Romney is personally wealthy. Of all the candidates remaining, Romney has the highest net worth. (He's worth over $200 million.) Republicans loved to criticize John Edwards for his large house and e | | By: The 7-10 | | |
| | The Hypocrisy of the United Nations Summit on Global Warming | | 2007-12-06 19:11:12 | | For the sake of this post, let’s all pretend that man-made global warming exists and it not a ploy by politicians to tax and regulate us. Let’s also pretend that scientists don’t have a financial stake, in the form of grants, in this. If we pretend that there is no money for scientists to lose [...] | | By: Wake Up America | | |
| | | More Hypocrisy From Hillary. . . | | 2007-10-20 06:47:31 | | So Hillary Rodham (as she prefers to be called when not running for elected office) advocates talks to settle differences with Iran and has criticized President Bush's (one man's whose testicles are not in her lock box) tough talk with respect to Iran. When it became clear that political points could be scored by attacking the war, the President and the Vice President she began echoing the "blood for oil" rants from the left wing nuts.Nevertheless she said last Saturday that Tehran would invite U.S. action if it were to disrupt oil supplies:“I will make it very clear to the Iranians that there are very serious consequences attached to their actions. . . .[a blockage of oil shipments] "would be devastating to the world economy."So when Bush fights a war in which one of the objectives is to ensure American energy security it is a horrible thing. But then madame Mao advocates that it is smart, rational foreign policy? I'm sure that's how the MSM, or the PR arm of the Clinton campaign, will portray her position. | | By: Copious Dissent - Your Daily Dose of Liberty | | |
| | Hannity’s America: Sean Hannity Exposes Al Gore and Liberals with Their Global Warming Hypocrisy (UPDATED) | | 2007-09-11 00:44:37 | | Sean Hannity on Fox News’ Hannity’s America, created an amazing exclusive video on Al Gore’s hypocrisy. While Al Gore tells everyone that there is a climate crisis that needs to be solved. He is not only a hypocrite, he is demonstrably insane.Sean Hannity showed a video of Al Gore getting off a massive private jet. The twin engine jet was the model of jet that is so loud that many airports do not allow it on their runways. Then Al Gore gets out of the private jet and into a Lincoln Town Car, not a hybrid. It turns out that Al Gore flew his plane from Nashville, Tennessee to San Francisco and then from San Francisco to Camarillo. This was a total of 2100 miles in one day.If we were to calculate the amount of carbon emitted from Al Gore’s trip from Nashville to San Francisco, it would be 45,000 pounds of carbon. From Camarillo to San Fransisco, it would be 10,000 pounds of carbon, for a total of 55,000 pounds of carbon.Notably the average car emits .916 lbs. of CO2/ gallon | | By: Copious Dissent - Your Daily Dose of Liberty | | |
| | Hypocrisy in Houston | | 2007-07-30 04:00:00 | | You've heard the saying, "What's good for the goose is good for the gander." Well, one Texas politician seems to think freedom is okay for him ... but not for you and me. Earlier this year, Borris Miles was one of just a few Texas state representatives who voted against the Castle Doctrine. This new law, which takes effect in September, strengthens your right to meet force with force to protect yourself ... in your home, on the street, or anywhere else you're allowed to be. Just last week,...(read more) | | By: An American Warning | | |

A Texas Sized Hypocrisy.
State Law Maker – Rep. Borris Miles can now be labeled a hypocrite. Miles, who voted against a bill that give Texas citizens a stronger legal right to defend themselves with deadly force, shot a man trying to steal copper wiring from the construction site of his “in progress” home.
Rep. Borris Miles told police he was fixing a leak on the second floor of the Houston house he's building Sunday night when he heard a noise downstairs and saw two men trying to steal the copper. After Miles confronted the pair, one of the men threw a pocketknife at him, Houston Police spokesman Victor Senties.
Miles shot the man in the left leg, police said and charges of aggravated robbery are pending against the wounded suspect.

| | Freedom through strength DOESN’T spell hypocrisy! | | 2007-06-06 03:33:59 | |
Chirac, being exposed as a crook, doesn’t even seem to bother the French. Are they so inured to political skullduggery? Their country went downhill under Chirac, and I guess as long as they only have to pretend to work 35 hours a week, and take weeks and weeks of vacation, they will let their country go to hell. Wonder how much money Chirac received from Saddam Hussein? We have had two Presidents in the last century that placed their country above their political aspirations… Teddy Roosevelt and Harry Truman. We need others of similar ilk, not someone who wants to lay the big stick down and abrogate the Truman doctrine. Freedom through strength has always been known as the core of our country, and is still sonsidered important to many people in this country - even a few Democrats feel that way. How do you spell hypocrisy? I say A-L G-O-R-E. I will just include a couple of articles to explain his mendacity. See enclosed:

| | Hypocrisy In Christian America | | 2006-01-22 18:36:00 | | Christians show by example, by doing what is morally right in all aspects and interaction with man. But what if the individuals who claim to be Christians aren’t showing by example? What if they are deceiving others into believing its okay to live in depravity and immorality and still be Christian? Here is just a small fraction of the Christian hypocrisy that many people are being led to believe in every single day!“I’m a Christian,” says the leader of a Christian group as he passes out racist hate literature to the congregation.“I’m a Christian,” says the bored housewife with two small children as she gossips and flirts at the coffee shop with other men.“We’re Christian’s,” say the members of Congress right before signing the “right to abortion” bill.“I’m a Christian,” says the schoolteacher as she tells her class of thirty children the proper way to wear a condom.“I’m a Christian,” says the adulterous woman to her husband.“We’re Christians,” say the two men who live together while both are dying of AIDS.“We’re Christians,” say the ATF officers as they raid Churches and kill the Christian’s in them.“I’m a Christian,” says the executioner.“I’m a Christian,” says the drunken thief.“I’m a Christian, “ says the priest after being accused of pedophile acts“I’m a Christian, says the man who is engaged in his third affair in as many years.“This is a Christian nation,” says the politician’s as they discuss enforcing the draft.“I’m a Christian,” says the drug addict to his pastor after he gave his wife a black eye for the second time in a month.“I’m a Christian,” says the lawyer after scamming an old widow of her pension checks for five years.“I’m A Christian….”These individuals apparently believe they are Christian’s. They are the ones that make up the class act rating to give this country its name, Christian America. Now think of all the groups that these individuals belon | | By: Write Passion | | |
