| Sheep Shearing on an Iceberg | | 2008-04-02 17:53:00 | | Icebergs and sheep! A strange combination even for New Zealand, renowned for its woolly quadrupeds. This footage results from two rather unusual events. In November 2006, icebergs were sighted 60 kilometres off the Dunedin coast, on the eastern side of New Zealand. This was a rare enough event in itself. It was thought that the parent of these icebergs had broken off the Ronne Ice Shelf in Antarctica six years previously and was disintegrating as it was carried by ocean currents far from home. Although visible from the hills around Dunedin to the naked eye, binoculars were better. But NHNZ staff decided to take to the air for an even better look. And some stunning shots resulted. They weren't the only ones making the most of the unusual occurrence…Shrek, a merino sheep who shot to "stardom" nearly three years earlier, celebrated his tenth birthday with another blade shearing in 2007 on an iceberg 90 kilometres off the Dunedin coast. | | Tipping the Iceberg | | 2008-03-10 15:07:31 | | I haven’t posted twice in one day since ‘Construction at the Iceberg’. And that, too, was coincidentally also about drilling at the Iceberg. Anyhow, I sent an email to CP a while ago talking about Tipping the Iceberg. I got a reply back that I thought was kinda hinting towards it. You can see them from the Mountain and Iceberg. Also, if you look into the telescope at the Beacon, there is a big Iceberg floating across the ocean! I wonder what this means? Maybe its Rockhopper, I mean its been two months since he last came. There is nothing in the binoculars at the Cove, so im not sure! Also, I am working some new stuff for the website, it will be ready soon! What would you like to see on the site? | | By: Rev's Club Penguin Guide | | |

"ICEBERG from the middle of the 70's were easily one of *the* best Progressive bands to come from Spain. This Spanish band ICEBERG came (like Manuel from Fawlty Towers) from Barcelona and consisted of: Max Sune (guitar), Josep Mas Kitflus (keyboards), Primi Sancho (bass) and Jordi Colomer (drums), Angel Riba (voice) could only be heard on the first record. | | Iceberg Gin | | 2007-04-06 04:12:40 | | Admittedly I haven’t been a big drinker of gin. I’ve always been seduced by aged spirits like whisky, rum and brandy (cognac). I like the look of brown spirits with their deep golden brown tint and their enticing oak aromas of vanilla and spice. I’ve had lots of gin cocktails, but gin is usually in a supporting role, rather than the main character. I’ve had some gin martini’s but aside from that, I’ve never spent anytime taste testing gin. The local liquormart (LCBO) doesn’t have a great selection of gin, but they do carry Plymouth Gin, which I find works well in cocktails, so nothing ever jumps out at me and says “buy me”. Except when I decided to write about Gin & Tonics. I came across Iceberg Gin and decided to try this relatively new gin. Here’s what I’ve discovered so far.
