| | Developing Multi-Mappings for Integration Processes in SAP XI | | 2008-08-22 08:44:36 | | Purpose This section describes how to develop a multi-mapping for a transformation step in an integration process. In this case, the mapping runtime supports 1:n, n:1, and n:m transformations. Prerequisites The procedure described below requires that the message schemas for the messages to be mapped already exist in the Integration Repository (see also Features in Multi-Mappings) and that they are assigned to asynchronous, abstract message interfaces. You can only use this interface type in integration processes. Furthermore, all objects (integration process, interface mapping, and all objects referenced by the interface mapping) must be in the same software component version. If you want to reference objects from underlying software component versions, you must access the objects from the Basis Objects branch (in the navigation tree or using an input help) (see also: Underlying Software Component Versions). | | Integration of ALV in ApplicationList Viewer in Web Dynpro for ABAP | | 2008-08-15 00:45:28 | | Purpose If you want to use an ALV output in your application, you have to follow various steps, depending on the required result. The following variants outline the most important ways in which you can call ALV: ● Simple call without ALV configuration model You only display an ALV output. You do not want to make any changes. ● Simple call with ALV configuration model You want to change the standard output using your application. To do this, you require the ALV configuration model. ● ALV output in external view without ALV configuration model ALV output is just one of many elements in a view. You do not want to change the ALV output. You do not need the ALV configuration model. ● ALV output in external view with ALV configuration model ALV output is just one of many elements in a view. | Defining the Component Usage List Viewer in Web Dynpro, Integration of ALV | | 2008-08-15 00:44:21 | | To use an ALV output in your application, use the component SALV_WD_TABLE. You can integrate this ALV component as an external component into your Web Dynpro component. To do this, you define the component usage. If you want to display multiple different ALV outputs, distinguish between these outputs by using unique names for the respective usage variants of the component. How you define the component usage depends upon how you want to use the ALV component. · If the ALV output is the only element on the screen, you define the component usage of the ALV component only in the component of your application (the top node in the hierarchy of the component, as it is displayed in the Component Editor). This is the simplest case. You cannot configure the ALV output before it is displayed. · If the ALV output is the only element on the screen (as above), but you want to make changes to the appearance, function, or run-time behavior, specify the usage of the component... | | By: Free SAP Netweaver Books,Projects And Faq's | | |
| | Providing the Data List Viewer in Web Dynpro, Integration of ALV | | 2008-08-15 00:43:55 | | To provide the data you want to display in the ALV output, perform the following three steps: ● Internal data table You provide an internal data table. ● Context nodes You provide a suitable context node and attributes in the context of your application. ● Transferring data to the ALV component You provide this context node for the ALV component. Internal Data Table The data of the internal data table must be available in flat structures. This is the only prerequisite. The easiest way to do this is to use an existing DDIC structure. Context Nodes The ALV component requires a context node that can contain the data of the internal data table. This context node has the following properties: ● It has the cardinality 0..n. ● It only contains attributes and no subnodes: For each column of your internal data table, you create exactly one attribute of the same name and data type. ● All the attributes are static, not dynamic. | | Guidelines for Modeling Integration Scenarios | | 2008-08-02 03:16:38 | | This section gives you an overview of what you should note when modeling integration scenarios and supports you when designing them. Furthermore, it provides you with background knowledge about the modeling concept and design decisions in the Integration Builder (Integration Repository). Targets of Modeling An integration scenario completely models the exchange of messages for a collaborative process and provides an overview of the process flow. The advantages of defining integration scenarios in the Integration Builder (design tool) are as follows: · The integration scenario provides you with an overview of the process and the process flow. · The integration scenario groups together all objects that are involved in this process: interface objects, mapping objects, and executable integration processes from the Integration Repository, and product versions from the System Landscape Directory. You can access all of these objects from the integration scenario. · ... | | By: Free SAP XI Books,Projects And Interview Questions | | |
| | General Modeling Concept Guidelines for Modeling Integration Scenarios | | 2008-08-02 03:16:05 | | This section introduces the general modeling concept on which the design of integration scenarios in the Integration Builder is based. · Multiple logical participants are involved in an integration scenario (=collaborative process). These participants are represented by application components. · Local (private) processes run within the application components. ¡ The parts of the local process that are visible in the entire process must be shown in the integration scenario (in other words, seen or used by other participants). ¡ All other parts of the local process are private parts of the application component. They are only represented in the integration scenario if this is necessary to understand them. ¡ Actions (= functions running in the application component) and sequences are used to represent the local processes. · The points of interaction and synchronization between the individual application components are also shown in the ... | | By: Free SAP XI Books,Projects And Interview Questions | | |

| | Modeling Application Components Guidelines for Modeling Integration Scenarios | | 2008-08-02 03:14:44 | | Logically speaking, an application component represents a participant of an integration scenario. This contains the business tasks and concerns that this participant represents within the integration scenario. Modeling at Type Level An application component can be installed on multiple business systems at runtime. However, modeling in the integration scenario takes place at type level. Note the following when modeling application components: · If, at runtime, multiple participants are expected to satisfy the following conditions: ¡ The participants have the same business role ¡ The participants yield the same spectrum of tasks ¡ The participants use the same product In this case, the participants are represented by one logical participant and therefore just one application component. · If different participants fulfill different tasks or they use different products or product versions for the same tasks, then they are represented by dif... | | By: Free SAP XI Books,Projects And Interview Questions | | |

| | Modeling Connections Guidelines for Modeling Integration Scenarios | | 2008-08-02 03:11:49 | | Sequences A sequence is a connection between two subsequent actions within an application component. A sequence is represented by a vertical downward-pointing arrow. · You use a sequence if the execution of the first action is the prerequisite for the second action being executed. · You can also use a sequence to define the sequence of inbound processing during asynchronous communication. Designing Synchronous and Asynchronous Communication Steps When designing your integration scenario, you must pay particular attention to the exchange of information between the application components involved. Note the following: · Identify all instances in your integration scenario where information must be exchanged between the components by using messages. This also includes communication steps. · Define whether messages are to be exchanged synchronously or asynchronously. ¡ Synchronous communication means that the sender waits for a response from ... | | By: Free SAP XI Books,Projects And Interview Questions | | |
| | Modeling Process Variants of an Integration Scenario | | 2008-08-02 03:11:03 | | The integration scenario design environment in the Integration Builder does not permit the qualified representation of branching (AND, OR, XOR) or any other complex process modeling constructs. · When representing different process variants you must find an appropriate compromise between the clarity of the integration scenario on the one hand, and the number of separately defined integration scenarios on the other. · Note the following conventions: ¡ Any optional actions (and communication steps) must be included in the integration scenario and documented explicitly as optional. It is then clear in the integration scenario that these optional steps do not necessarily have to be executed. ¡ If there are various branches in the process logic (OR, XOR) and the branches are located in different application components, then both branches must be included in the integration scenario and documented accordingly. ¡ If there are various branches in th... | | By: Free SAP XI Books,Projects And Interview Questions | | |

| | Designing Integration Scenarios Developing Business Logic | | 2008-07-09 23:09:45 | | Purpose You use an integration scenario to define the message exchange and message flow for collaborative processes. Normally, these are processes between different business partners that are generally coupled by the exchange of messages. The integration scenario provides you with a central point of access for all objects that you require for semantic and technical integration, for example interfaces, mappings, and software components. You can integrate an executable integration process into an integration scenario. The information entered in an integration scenario during the design phase is used as follows: · During the configuration phase to map the collaborative process to the current productive system landscape. In this phase you specify the business systems of the business partners on which the application components are installed. In this phase the integration scenario provides you with a central point of entry for the definition of all receiver determinations. | | Designing Integration Scenarios Action | | 2008-07-09 23:07:58 | | Definition An action represents a function within an application component that is not subdivided further. Actions subdivide the process flow of an integration scenario. Actions are shown as white triangles in the integration scenario editor. The vertical progression of actions from top to bottom corresponds to the logical process flow. An action is an independent design object of the Integration Builder. This means that actions are defined independently of integration scenarios. Thus you have the option of reusing actions in different integration scenarios. Use Usage Type for Actions Label Usage Type Internal Actions Defined for a ‘separate’ software component version. How these entries get formulated in backend? Real time integration is nothing but the data posting to all the affected areas instantly when an activity is performed. For E.g. When you do a FI-SD integration, when a PGI is posted, the following entry is affected :1. Cost of Goods Sold Dr 100To Inventory Account Cr 100Here the Cost of Goods Sold is an FI entry and Inventory Account related to MM but both of them gets affected immediately when you post a PGI in SD.The updation of these entries when PGI is done is called Real Time Integration. The affect is shown in all FI, MM and SD modules once you save the entry. The configuration for the below entry is done in OBYC1. Cost of Goods Sold Dr 100 (T-Key GBB)To Inventory Account Cr 100 (T-Key BSX)The automatic entries are posted to inventory accounts through T-keys to which GL accounts are assigned. My RPM team spent near to 3 hours to get it right. You know what, the biggest portion of the time wasted was when we following the step-by-step instructions that supposed to guide you toward successfull integration between this 2 major components: Microsoft AD and IBM RPM. com.ibm.rpm.auth.jndi.JNDIController.properties file is the key configuration element that you used for such integration, ONLY for IBM RPM prior to 7.1 version. If you happened to install IBM RPM 7.1 and you will bang your big head on the monitor to basically make it bigger for wondering why the configuration is not working at all. We started to suspect the correctness of configuring such file when we are diagnosing System.out log file in IBM Websphere AS 6.1. I saw interesting JNDI lookup names such as useLdapAuthentication and ldapConfiguration. So I decided to google again and Taa Daa, found some useful materials from IBM RPM forum. Dubbed BD Touch, this new tech will turn an iPhone into a remote control for Blu-ray players. More interestingly, it will allow the device to interact directly with BD movies by: displaying extra movie info on the iPhone, maintain a database of your movie collection, and obtain digital copies of movies on a Blu-ray disc. This last feature sounds quite similar to Sony's very own portable copy. This makes us wonder if the new tech will be integrated into the PS3 or if it will only hit other Blu-ray players. A formal announcement regarding the new tech will be made tomorrow. We'll know soon enough then.[Via Gizmodo]

| | | Integration of CRM Billing | | 2008-03-25 00:28:34 | | Use SAP CRM uses CRM Billing to bill outbound deliveries. Usually, SAP CRM provides the pricing information for an outbound delivery in a sales order. However, when SAP Service Parts Management (SPM) creates an outbound delivery with reference to a stock transport order, there is no object in SAP CRM that corresponds to the stock transport order. This function enables SAP CRM to forward the pricing information to CRM Billing by means of the delivery document. Integration Replenishment deliveries are relevant for financial accounting and billing in cross-company stock transfers, that is to say, when the supplying and receiving plants belong to different company codes. In stock transport orders that do not belong to different company codes, the replenishment delivery is not relevant for financial accounting. However, it may be relevant for billing if the transfer route crosses national borders. In CRM Billing, the delivery type and item category are assigned to a billing item catego... | | By: Free Download SAP CRM Books And Interview Question | | |

Last we heard it was to be released sometime between April and June 2008. You can launch a game you want to play with someone else from within Home. The first game to use this is the Incognito aerial dogfighter Warhawk. You’ll be given access to a “war room” where up to 8 players can meet up to discuss their strategies for an upcoming match. While that in itself may not sound exciting, these strategies you discuss can be planned using a 3D “sand table” replication of the level you’re about to play! To quote: “Warhawk players are said to be able to lay out their strategies in a prop... | | By: Online Games

| | Volvo considering closer integration with Ford of North America, building cars in the U.S. | | 2008-01-28 11:18:04 | | Volvo considering closer integration with Ford of North America, building cars in the U.S.
Volvo may may link future product development with Ford of North America, a new report finds. Volvo currently shares several platforms with Ford of Europe, as well as Jaguar and Land Rover, but the weak dollar and pending sale of Jaguar and Land Rover has Volvo considering closer integration with Ford of North America. The new architecture sharing with Ford of North America would make it possible for Volvo to produce cars here without having to make a huge investment in a new production facility. "If we are sharing components and platforms, then we don't need a huge site of our own," Volvo CEO Fredrik Arp told Automotive News. "But if we have our own components and platforms or share with Ford of Europe, then we have to go it alone." Other European automakers — such as BMW and Mercedes-Benz — have opened production facilities in the U.S. due to the poor exchange rate. Volkswagen also recently announced that it would open a plant in the U.S. Volvo is more dependent on the North American market than any other European brand — selling 30 percent of its cars in NA — so the exchange rate has offset any of the brands improvements, including a 9.8% increase in gain in labor costs and a $50 million dollar reduction in global warranty costs. The exchange rate has ballooned from $.87 on the euro in 2002 to its current rate of $1.47. However, the shift to North American production assumes that Ford will not sell its Volvo brand. Ford claims that Volvo is not on the auction block, contrary to several reports and despite announcing it lowered the value of Volvo last week. If Ford does move to further integrate with Volvo, it could make the sale of its last PAG brand more difficult because the companies would be so intertwined. ... | | By: Auto News: Car Reviews, Car News, Car Shows

| | | Deep Integration: the coming North American Union | | 2007-06-26 04:25:40 | |
From The Plan to Disappear Canada by Murray Dobbin, “If the machinations going on in this country regarding so-called “deep integration” were instead a communist conspiracy to take over the country (you will, of course, have to try hard to imagine this) the news media would be blaring the story.
Pundits would pontificate, editorialists would erupt, security forces would be unleashed.
Instead, a virtual conspiracy to make the country disappear through assimilation into the U.S. gets barely a mention.
But news of the scheme — formally called the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America (SPP) — is finally breaking out of the secret chambers of the ruling elite and the federal government. This is both good news and bad. It’s good that ordinary citizens are finally getting a glimpse of the betrayal of their country. The news is bad because it reflects just how much of this scheme is already being implemented. “

| | eBridge Software integration with ERP and WMS systems | | 2007-04-18 16:18:00 | | eBridge Software integrates with your Sage MAS 500 and WMS system, here is some background information on DC Warehouse Automation for your review. DCSC Inc. Software ProductsHistory Behind DCSC Inc. Software ProductsDCSC Inc. implements Sage MAS 500® and has been a certified Value Added Reseller since 1999. Our Clients are located across the country and beyond. We have a significant installation base.Several years ago, a prospect required a solid ERP System along with warehouse automation. Unfortunately, we only had a third party system to offer. This solution had a different look, used a separate database, and did not accurately reflect real-time data transactions. This resulted in DCSC Inc.’s idea to develop a native warehouse solution in the Sage MAS 500® Tool Set—to work as an integrated component of the system in real time. Our solution’s design is based from real live distribution and manufacturing software implementation experience. Many of our features also come directly from our valued distribution and manufacturing customer’s recommendations. DCSC’s Available Software Applications:DCWarehouse© Automation is a completely integrated solution that helps streamline the fulfillment process in the area of smart pick, pack and ship. This industrial strength solution is loaded with features that also include inventory replenishment, purchase order receiving, transfers order receiving, put-away, wave picking, paperless picking, container tracking, palletizing, bar-code labels, UCC Compliant Labeling and productivity tracking. Manufacturers will also benefit from our automated production entry, material issues and back flushing.DCPackaging Manager©:This optional module for the DCWMS System eliminates the need for a third party shipping software or shipping systems. With direct integration into Airborne/DHL®, UPS® and Federal Express® you can shop rates at the order entry process or packaging process. Rates will be automatically calculated via our complete scale integration with optional up charges to ensure you are not loosing money in your shipping department. The labels, tracking information and any billing/manifest documents will be printed to complete the shipping process. Your customers will receive e-mail notification of the shipment information including if a sales order was shipped in multiple boxes, the contents and the tracking numbers of those shipments. The package manager also includes a direct integration to eBridge® EDI Solution for ASN’s. The eBridge ASN tool allows for the creation of 856 ASN documents using information that is automatically imported from DCWarehouse®/MAS 500® . Shipping time is decreased with various carton packing options including auto pack, pack details, pack details by scanner, and template pack.DCFreight©:This optional module for the DCWMS System leverages a Rate Shop Component to accommodate up to twelve LTL’s and has all the same functionality as our packaging managerhttp://www.dcsccorp.com/pdf/dcwarehousebrochure.pdfhttp://www.dcsccorp.com/pdf/dcwarehousefeatures.pdfFor more information visit online : http://www.dcsccorp.com/index.html and http://www.ebridgesoft.com/... | | By: Sage Software EDI solutions blog. eBridge Software | | |
| | eBridge Software for MAS 90, MAS 200 and MAS 500 is your EDI integration solution. | | 2007-04-11 17:06:00 | | What is eBridge Software ?eBridge Software for MAS 90, MAS 200 and MAS 500 is your EDI integration solution. Our bridge is essentially just that, it bridges the gap between information exchanged with your business partners and your accounting solution. The MAS 90, MAS 200 or MAS 500 accounting application your business relies on is more than just a program - it is a fundamental system that maintains every facet of your company's financial situation. Valuable information that needs to be exchanged with your business partners such as accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), order entry (OE), and inventory control (IC) are created and stored in your back-end accounting program. The problem, however, is in exchanging the information; your business partners rely on different accounting packages, each with slightly different formats and methods of maintaining data. In order to communicate efficiently, your major customers are demanding that you comply with Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) standards. Without implementing an integrated EDI solution, too much time and effort is spent on duplicate data entry and ensuring documents are being exchanged on time and in the format specified by your trading partners. This added pressure always creates the possibility of human error and the associated costs due to lost time and resources. eBridge also has EDI solutions for over 35+ Accounting packages.eBridge is the only solution available that solves the EDI puzzle completely for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). Providing seamless, automated integration, the bridge allows businesses to eliminate the need for manual data entry and to quickly achieve EDI compliance with their business partners for maximum efficiency, with minimum costs incurred. eBridge for MAS 90/200 and MAS 500 is a ready to use EDI solution that provides bi-directional integration of accounting information between MAS 90, MAS 200, MAS 500 and the back-end system implemented by your trading partners, instantly synchronizing sales order and purchase information, payment data, and other business critical information between both systems. EDI and XML are supported, covering all compliance possibilities.Features :eBridge for MAS 90, MAS 200 or MAS 500 is your EDI integration solution. It bridges the gap between information exchanged with your business partners and your accounting solution. Bi-directional data synchronization is fast, automatic, and accurate, saving you time and money.Seamless, bi-directional data exchange in various data formats, including EDI (ANSI X12, EDIFACT,) XML, CSV and Flat FilesFlexible communication methods including traditional VANs, Internet VANs, AS2, FTP, HTTP(S), dial-up or e-mailAttended or Unattended Batch Mode for streamlined document processing User-defined audit trails, error notices and reports can be automatically distributed via e-mailAbility to interface with all EDI translatorsASN Module:Advance Shipping Notices have become commonplace requirements in many EDI relationships - customers need to know what you can ship, and when, before the inventory in question even reaches their doors. The eBridge ASN Module features powerful functionality, which enables users to apply shipping-related information to all transactions, reducing the need for manual data entry in the process. From single item codes to multi-trailers, the eBridge ASN Module allows precise and detailed packing, ensuring that your customer always knows what's coming.Benefits:Flexible Document Exchange Schedule eBridge can operate in either batch or unattended batch mode, giving you as much control over your data transactions as you demand. Batch mode enables large volumes of information to be processed using pre-defined parameters. Data interchange can also be achieved without human intervention in unattended batch mode. This flexibility ultimately gives you complete control over your document exchange schedule ensuring you meet the requirements outlined by your business partners. Data Integrity:Relying on manual data entry and duplication always leaves open the possibility of human error, which can quickly grow from a mistyped number to an inventory and invoicing nightmare. eBridge for MAS 90, MAS 200 or MAS 500 eliminates the need for manual data duplication, while leveraging the business logic in your accounting application to ensure that information received and sent during EDI transactions is reliable and accurate.Scalability:The eBridge solution is scalable. No matter how many maps or trading partners you begin with, the solution has the ability to grow along with your business, with expandable functionality provided by additional document maps, ASN generation, and a mapper application for editing and creation.Speed of Implementatione Bridge has been created to ensure rapid deployment. With the installation handled by our team of professional implementation consultants, your company is made EDI compliant quickly and painlessly, ensuring a quick return on investment.Have questions?... | | By: Sage Software EDI solutions blog. eBridge Software | | |

| | Evolution Of Morphological Integration: Developmental Accommodation Of Stress-induced Variation | | 2006-03-15 06:18:29 | | Contents:1) Press ReleaseStress is a major factor in evolution, but for stress-induced modifications to have evolutionary importance they have to be inherited and persist in a sufficient number of individuals within a population. This requires an organism to survive stress and reproduce at least once; thus stress-induced variation has to be accommodated by an organism without much reduction in its functionality. How is such accommodation accomplished? In an article in the September issue of The American Naturalist, Alexander V. Badyaev (University of Arizona) and colleagues show that complexity and cohesiveness of foraging structures of shrews enables accommodation of stress-induced developmental abnormalities in individual components of morphological complexes. Such developmental compensation and accommodation not only allow shrews growing under stressful environments to maintain locally adaptive foraging morphology, but also provide a mechanism for stress-induced evolutionary change.Full text here2) Article[Badyaev et al, The American Naturalist, Sept '05]Abstract:Extreme environmental change during growth often results in an increase in developmental abnormalities in the morphology of an organism. The evolutionary significance of such stress-induced variation depends on the recurrence of a stressor and on the degree to which developmental errors can be accommodated by an organism's ontogeny without significant loss of function. We subjected populations of four species of soricid shrews to an extreme environment during growth and measured changes in the patterns of integration and accommodation of stress-induced developmental errors in a complex of mandibular traits. Adults that grew under an extreme environment had lower integration of morphological variation among mandibular traits and highly elevated fluctuating asymmetry in these traits, compared to individuals that grew under the control conditions. However, traits differed strongly in the magnitude of respo... | | By: Evolution Research - Main Blog | | |
