En ésos casos es práctico tener el Internet Explorer en nuestro Linux para evitar tener que salir y entrar a Windows.Además es muy útil cuando desarrollamos páginas web y queremos probarlas en Internet Explorer.Con el programa IEs 4 Linux podemos instalar el Internet Explorer fácilmente el cual correrá bajo la emulación Windows de Wine.El procedimiento es el siguiente para instalar la última versión de IEs 4 Linux e instalar el IE 6:Instalar wine (emulación Windows) y cabextract (extracción de archivos .cab):apt-get install wine cabextractDescargar el paquete.Descomprimirlo:tar zxvf ies4linux-latest.tar.gzDentro de la carpeta creada ejecutar el comando ies4linux:cd ies4linux-2.0.5./ies4linuxRespondemos algunas preguntas. En mi caso le dije que no a la instalación de IE 5.5 SP2 y IE 5.01 SP2 para que me instalara IE 6 SP1.Cuando termine de instalar ejecutamos el IE 6 con el comando ie6 o con el icono que nos deja en el escritorio.Una buena cosa es que instala también el Flash 9 fundamental para acceder muchos sitios. Estaría bueno también que instalara el Java que también es necesario para muchos sitios.Hay una versión Beta que instala el IE 7 pero ya que Wine no lo soporta ies5linux entonces instala IE 6 y después le cambia componentes por los de IE7.
