cPanel Invalid License File After Changing Hostname Error
    2008-03-12 07:05:00
After changing web host server hostname by using WHM (WebHost Manager) or via shell command, cPanel may display “Invalid License File” error message. The symptom appears immediately on next navigation, and even after administrator or cPanel user logout and login again to WHM/cPanel. The error occurs because changing hostname will invalidate the cPanel license. The solution to invalid cPanel license is easy. Simply login to the server via SSH as root (or su to root), and run the following command:/usr/local/cpanel/cpkeycltThe command will reset and refresh update the cPanel license file with the new current hostname, and push the change to cPanel’s license verification servers auth.cpanel.net and verify.cpanel.net.

11 Ways That Google Detects Invalid Clicks
    2007-11-02 02:15:40
Author:awans We always hear that Google has a sophisticated system to detect the invalid clicks, and result in termination of the cheaters’ account. But, how can Google do that? In this post, I summarize those ways that Google depends on to detect whether the clicks on your site are invalid or not. Google will not first ban your account immediately. Rather, they will first flag your account and Google will keep a closer eye to your account. In some occasion, they may send you a warning letter to notify your situation; but sometimes not.1. IP AddressIt is the easist and must be recognized by everyone. If those clicks on your ads are originated from the same IP Address as the one used for accessing your AdSense account, your account is flagged.2. Click Through Rate (CTR)Normally, Click thru Rate should not excees 10%. Otherwise, Google will flag your account. For your information, normal CTR should ranges from 0.5% - 10%.3. Physical LocationGoogle has good tracing software and technology. They can trace traffics origin down to the small town. So, using different computers with different IP address does not secure anything. So, don’t try to click your ads in various internet cafes. That will kill you.4. CookiesMost home users do not use static IP Address for Internet connection. In most cases just disconnect and reconnect will give you a new IP Address. But don’t forget, Google has set cookies on your computer. They can trace these cookies and see whether they originate from the same computer.5. Click Pattern 1It is also suspicious when people click on their clicks and then run away immediately (hit-and-run). But normally, people will surf for a while inside your pages and then click on the ads they want.6. Click Pattern 2why this computer / IP address / person is so trigger-click-happy on this particular website but never click on the ads on other sites?7. Click Pattern 3And why is it that people accessing these sites direct (type-in URL or from bookmark) tend to

Invalid clicks or impressions on Google Ads
    2007-10-09 11:17:21
I've just finished reading all my emails, when I came up on one, from Google, in which I was warned that I've generated invalid clicks or impressions, for the Adsense ads that I'm serving on my blog. This is funny, because I don't remember doing such a thing. Here is the actual email that the guys from Google sent me:" Hello Tiberius,It has come to our attention that invalid clicks or impressions havebeen generated on the Google ads on your site(s) through users ofthird-party programs paid or provided with other incentives to visityour site. Such programs include, but are not limited to auto-surf,pay-to-surf, pay-to-read, or pay-to-click sites. Please bear in mind that if we continue to detect invalid clicks orimpressions from these services on your ads, we may disable youraccount to protect our advertisers. In addition, we may adjust yourfuture payments for any days during which invalid clicks occurred inorder to properly credit advertisers for any invalid activity. We understand that you may wish to receive specific informationregarding the invalid activity we observed on your account. However, due to the proprietary nature of our algorithm, we cannot disclose anydetails about how our monitoring technology works or what specifics wefound on your account. As a reminder, any method of generating invalid clicks or impressionsis strictly prohibited by our Terms and Conditions and program policies. "Well, I must tell Google that I DO NOT pay no one to click my ads, I do not click my own ads, nor using any restricted promotion methods, such as autosurf websites, pay-to-read or any other types of PTC ( paid to click ) or GPT sites ( Get Paid To..). All my promotion methods used until now are clean and I really do not know why they've sent me this warning..I hope that this was the only warning from Google and that there will be no others or that they will not disable my account. I will keep you updated on this topic, as soon as any changes appear.

    How Google detects Invalid Clicks
    2007-05-01 08:10:00
Still thinking to cheat AdSense? Stop that. It will never bring you anywhere. You might pull it off with smaller ads network, but definitely not with Google. Here are some detection methods they might use. At the very least, they have the resources to do so.IP AddressIf the AdSense click is originated from the same IP Address as the one used for accessing your AdSense account, your account is flagged.CookiesMost home users do not use static IP Address for Internet connection. In most cases just disconnect and reconnect will give you a new IP Address. But don’t forget, Google has set cookies on your computer.Other Google ServicesThinking that you are safe just because you do not access your AdSense account? Think again. This time, consider these: GMail, Google Earth, Google Calendar, Google Search, Google Toolbar, Google Talk, Google Sitemap, Google Desktop, Blogger, and so on, and so on. With the wide range of services they provide, Google can trace the originator of most (or probably almost all) clicks.Click Pattern 1Oh, why this computer / IP address / person is so trigger-click-happy on this particular website but never click on the ads on other sites?Click Pattern 2And why is it that people accessing these sites direct (type-in URL or from bookmark) tend to be very active ad-clickers compared with those referred from search engine or other sites?Click Pattern 3And why the ad-clickers like to hit and run, compared with non ad-clickers that surf a few pages before leaving?Click-Through-Rate (CTR)Your CTR may range from 0.5% to 10%, but if it exceeds a certain point (probably around 10%), you are flagged.Geo-LocationUsed Urchin (Google Analytics) before? Then you should know that Google can trace traffics origin down to the small town. Different IP doesn’t mean much. Unless you site is really targetted to one small geo-point, a high number of clicks from nearby location will get you banned quickly.Search Engine RankingYour website is not indexed on any search e
