O Joy Division foi uma banda da cena pós-punk formada no ano de 1977, em Manchester, Inglaterra. A banda acabou em 18 de Maio de 1980 após o suicídio do vocalista, Ian Curtis. A banda também tinha como integrantes Bernard Sumner, Peter Hook e Stephen Morris. Após o termino da banda, os três integrantes remanescentes formaram o New Order
O seu som tinha influências de Velvet Underground, David Bowie e Iggy Pop, e era caracterizado por densas melodias, bastante marcadas pela bateria quase militar de Stephen Morris, e uma têndencia para a depressão e a claustrofobia.
História
Tudo começou quando Ian Curtis respondeu a um anúncio publicado por Bernard Sumner (guitarra, teclados) e Peter Hook (baixo), que procuravam um vocalista. O primeiro nome da banda foi Warsaw, e um dos primeiros problemas foi encontrar um baterista definitivo. Após vários interinos no cargo, Stephen Morris assumiu as baquetas, a tempo para a gravação do debut deles.

Debo compartir el trailer con todo el mundo porque It was about time que alguien la hiciera! Y porqué no se me ocurrió a mí??!! (porque no tengo los recursos, ok). Bueno el día de estreno es el 26 de Septiembre en Francia! y qué sé yo cuándo los cines chilenos la vayan a tener, pero no importa. Esperaré pacientemente…
