let out a thunderous roar

Whew ! ! He had made it !
Now airborne and climbing steeply ,
the Capt.'s attitude increased to a soar
as he roared above the concerns of a world gone mad ....
Yes .... Capt. Bob was making his escape ...
putting himself in exile , while the "heat" abated .
... there had been trouble ... the legal kind
or illegal ... however you want to look at it .
Anyhow , it was onward ho !
as the Capt. rolled a fat doobie to insure
a latitude of euphoric flight
in an otherwise darkened night .
Once at cruising altitude , Capt. Bob
switched on the auto pilot
and turned off the seatbelt lights ,
