    Medical Surgical Nursing: Kawasaki Disease
    2008-06-23 11:10:00
First identified in Japan in 1967, Kawasaki disease (also called mucocutaneous lymph node syndrome) affects young children, usually under the age of 5. It is believed to be caused by a noncontagious infection, although scientists are unsure of the exact cause. Kawasaki disease is an illness that involves the skin, mouth, and lymph nodes, and most often affects kids under age 5. The cause is ...

    Audrey Kawasaki
    2008-05-26 22:51:00
"come play with me" oil on wood "Minami no Uta" oil on wood "Oiran" oil on wood Fantastic paintings from Los Angeles based artist Audrey Kawasaki. She has so much work on her site it took me forever to look at it, and I didn't even get through it all. Take you time and check it all out, it is a very clean and well designed site. I would highly suggest the doodles section of the site, there are some very cool sketchbook pieces in there that give a bit of background on how she gets to her final product. The themes in Audrey Kawasaki's work are contradictions within themselves. Her work is both innocent and erotic. Each subject is attractive yet disturbing. Audrey's precise technical style is at once influenced by both manga comics and Art Nouveau. Her sharp graphic imagery is combined with the natural grain of the wood panels she paints on, bringing an unexpected warmth to enigmatic subject matter. The figures she paints are seductive and contain an air of melancholy. They exist in...

    Kawasaki Ninja 250 Parts
    2008-05-25 19:50:14
Anyone that has been around Bikes or ATVs has seen and heard a Two Brothers exhaust at one time or another.. And they sound pretty sweet. The Two Brothers exhaust for the 250R was one of the first exhausts to hit the market for back in January, and so far I haven’t heard anything but good things about them. Coming in three slip-on styles Aluminum, Titanium, and Carbon ranging from...

MotoGP: John Hopkins happy with Kawasaki progress
    2008-04-29 02:33:37
By Matthew Birt (MCN) MotoGP 28 April 2008 16:10 American John Hopkins says he is happy that Kawasaki is now making big strides with the performance of its factory ZX-RR after his injury disrupted pre-season. Hopkins, who scored his best result of 2008 when he finished fifth in Estoril, spent a large chunk of pre-season testing less than 100 per cent fit after a big crash at Phillip...

    2008 Kawasaki Ninja 250R
    2008-04-12 23:35:43
The year was 1988 and I was standing at the entrance of Coleman Powersports in Arlington, VA, looking at a sea of chrome, plastic and metal. I’d bought my first bike there and after one summer and 3,000 miles on a 200cc machine, I was ready to move up. Right smack in front of me were two black and red sportbikes that looked more like Samurai blades than anything else. The Ninja 250 and the Ninja...

    2008 Kawasaki ZX R10
    2008-04-07 17:09:06
Kawasaki has released the first pictures of its heavily revised ZX-10R that looks set to battle for the liter-sized superbike crown. Team Green is thus far stingy with details about this thoroughly tweaked literbike, but here’s what we’ve been able to glean from the photos and the limited specs. The most obvious change is the Ninja’s dramatically leaner styling that is a big improvement over...

    2008-01-20 22:57:52
Kawasaki Bike Review Most of the bike was already put together, but the instructions to finish assembling the bike weren't very clear. I ended up tossing the instructions and just screwing stuff in where it seemed to fit. Either the bike is crappy or I didn't put it together very well. The petal has already fallen off, I thought I screwed it in right, but it's possible I could've cross-threaded...

Guy Kawasaki: Cómo iniciar una empresa Web 2.0...
    2008-01-09 23:07:00

    2008 Kawasaki ZX-6R
    2007-10-17 15:31:57
Hey bikers!Another 600cc middleweight rival for the Yamaha YZF R6 and the Honda CBR 600 RR trying to make a name for itself. Both of them (the R6 and the CRB 600 RR) were "declared"...to me it seems more like "self-proclaimed" as the "best 600cc/middleweight motorcycle ever". But with each new motorcycle I reviewed on the blog, none of them could have been declared "the best". Because each motorcycle had its own advantages and disadvantages and the differences weren't huge. SO after all, it remains the reader's, or rider's choice to choose which one of the 600cc/middleweight motorcycle is "the best" for him/her. This can be done, at least on my blog, by writing some comments that I will review and post, so get on with your writing. I am writing for you, now you write for me :). And now, to get back on track...not the race track as I would like, but on the brand new Kawasaki ZX 6R's track. Earlier on my blog, I've posted an article about the ZX6R, but not a fully detailed review. It was...

    2007 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-RR
    2007-10-10 17:37:35
Hey there! I was always a sucker for Kawa's ZX 6R...well, "his" time will come on this blog...right now, I'd rather write about this super-superbike! The 2007 Kawasaki Ninja ZX RR. The Ninja ZX-RR is Kawasaki's race bike built for the MotoGP series. The Ninja ZX-RR was Kawasaki's first MotoGP machine equipped with a 4-stroke engine, and after overcoming initial teething problems, began to show its potential. With the addition of rider Shinya Nakano in 2004, the team kept improving and became capable of challenging the top teams for race honors. Nakano rode the lime-green, 990cc-engined machine to a second place podium finish at Round 8 in the Netherlands for his best finish of the 2006 MotoGP season. It's just an awesome motorcycle, but I really don't want to pay for the insurance on all those cool racing parts...of course, it's a racing bike and the insurance is the least important fact. WHat really matters are the folowing facts...the technical specs...this is one of the fastest bikes ...

    2008 Kawasaki Concours 14
    2007-09-29 19:25:45
Tour master motorcycleIf the ZX-14 sportbike is the rebellious teenager in Kawasaki's lineup, then the new Concours 14 tourer is its older, wiser sibling who still wants to have fun. They share the same potent powertrain, but the Concours isn't some ZX-14 with saddlebags. Underneath the faceted body panels are high-tech engine mods that smooth out the ZX's barnstorming personality. On the sperpentine roads it ws tested on, the motorcycle's sharp reflexes edged it towards the "sport" side of touring. Neat features include a KI-PASS wireless transponder that automatically starts your motorcycle and electronic tyre-pressure sensors that alert you to problems of a rubber nature. More important, the Concours 14 is the most powerfull motorcycle in its class. Dyno performance fanatics will respect the motorcycle's 156 HP inline four. Even if this motorcycle is the most powerfull in its class, it comes with the lowest price tag, its price being just 12,899 $. For a powerfull tourer like this o...

    2008 Kawasaki KLX450R
    2007-08-16 02:33:42
With this week's introduction of the new KLX450R off-road bike, kawasaki motorcycle officially closes the door on the 450cc, off-road ready, high-performance four stroke class. And we couldn't be happier. We love new motorcycles as much as you, but to finally have all the major manufactures competing for this class really put us in a happy place. Here's Dirt Rider's official first impression of kawasaki motorcycle's newest trail weapon. The KLX450R introduction was held just southeast of Wickenburg Arizona and, going with the desert-themed press event, featured a camping atmosphere complete with the bright stars you'd expect while away from the city life. Like, for instance, the highest concentration of AMA championships, ISDE medals and Baja victories since our annual Dirt Rider 24 hour. kawasaki motorcycle-backed riders Destry Abbot, Nathan Woods, Ricky Dietrich, Jeff Fredette and Larry Roeseler were all on hand to help introduce us to the new bike and to ensure our riding egos stayed...

The aggressive aesthetics of this machine directly mirrors its ferocious performance. With the engine and chassis characteristics of the Kawasaki Z1000 refocused for serious street riding, the new model more than takes up where its predecessor left off – it redefines what pure naked performance really is all about. PowerThe engine of the Kawasaki Z1000 has been tuned to satisfy the most demanding big-bore power riders, with torque boosted, particularly in the low- to mid rev-range to provide loads of muscle when and where it’s most needed. Even from cruising speeds a twist of the throttle really delivers the goods, and the engine will keep on pulling hard right through the rev range.ControlFor 2007 the new Kawasaki Z1000 received a new engine sub-frame and re-engineered chassis rigidity which provides truly outstanding feedback, ena...

(Kawasaki Racing Release) Shinya Nakano and Randy de Puniet were back in green at Phillip Island today, as the Kawasaki Racing Team unveiled the new 2006 Ninja ZX-RR livery during the opening day of a three-day test at the Australian circuit.Having suffered tire problems during the race at Phillip Island three months ago, Shinya Nakano opted to run a new rear tire from Bridgestone - with positive results - while he worked on refining the set-up of his all-new Ninja ZX-RR to suit the characteristics of the fast and flowing Australian circuit. The 27-year-old Japanese rider experienced chatter from the rear end of his Ninja ZX-RR during today's test, but is confident that this is a problem that can be eliminated by his crew overnight.Nakano's fastest lap during the opening day of testing was an improvement on his best race lap at the Phillip Island circuit, and the Kawasaki rider is confident that there are more improvements to come over the next two days. For Nakano's Kawasaki teammate, R...

kawasaki Vulcan 900 customIn a fast sweeping left-right series of curves up a hill in the middle of Texas, a smile of satisfaction starts to creep up at the corners of my mouth as I finally understand what this bike is about. I’m really enjoying the roll-on torque coming from kawasaki’s new Vulcan 900 Custom. But more than that—I’m smiling because I get it.A month ago, though, when I first got the invite, I didn’t really. It seems, of late, whenever manufacturers want to show off their big cruisers, they go to Texas—the land where everything is claimed to be bigger. So when kawasaki announced the 900 Custom’s launch in Austin, my head tilted much like my dog's does when he hears something out of the ordinary....

KAWASAKI’S 2007 NINJA® ZX™-10RRacetrack performance with real-world stabilityIt didn’t take long for Kawasaki’s original Ninja® ZX™-10R sportbike to earn a reputation for dominating horsepower and excellent handling. Street riders and backroad enthusiasts will also appreciate the ZX-10R’s solid stability and predictable handling, thanks to its superb engineering. With excellent mid-range power and a screaming top-end, the ZX-10R’s ability to accelerate out of corners is aided by its linear power delivery and enhanced traction provided by its long swingarm. One of my numerous hobbies, so I thought I'd give my readers a bit of insight into it. I started about half a year ago, I saw a folded crane and instantly thought - I want to know how to do that. So, whenever I fold a new model, I'll post it up here.Modified Kawasaki RosesI made a few with calyxes and stalks earlier, but I gave them away....
