    It's the Rice Krispies Treat for all you chocolate lovers. By simply replacing regular RiceKrispies with Kellogg's Cocoa Krispies, then adding a bit of cocoa to the recipe, we can clone theexact flavor of the product you otherwise have to buy in boxes in the grocery store. This recipemakes 16 of the crunchy brown bars, or the equivalent of two boxes of the real thing.3 tablespoons margarine1/4 teaspoon salt5 cups miniature marshmallows1/2 teaspoon vanilla4 teaspoons cocoa6 cups Cocoa Krispies cerealnon-stick cooking spray1.Combine margarine and salt in a large saucepan over low heat.2.When margarine has melted, add marshmallows and vanilla and stir until marshmallows have melted. Add cocoa and stir well. Remove from heat.3.Add Cocoa Krispies and stir until the cereal is well-coated with the melted marshmallow mixture.4.Spray a 9x13-inch baking dish with a light coating of non-stick cooking spray.     The breakfast cereal was discovered by accident. In 1894, brothers John and William Kellogg were working at America’s most prestigious sanatorium (a place to come eat a vegetarian diet, exercise, and revitalize your body). They were working on new ways to create a breakfast of boiled bread when a thin rolled sheet was left out for two days. What remained were thin flakes the brothers baked and eventually served to their customers with milk. Their elite clientele would leave still tasting the delectable breakfast treat and would request mail orders of the cereal shipped to their homes. John, the doctor, refuted the idea of lending the Kellogg name to a commercial enterprise. Eventually he was won over by his business savvy brother, William. They called their invention Granose.
