| Another "TGIF" Moment in Lemming History | | 2008-07-18 11:59:00 | | I do believe that today is only my second time ever thanking G-d that it is finally Friday. Fridays and me have a long history of hating one another and Friday usually wins out, but today I am welcoming my old enemy with open arms. I am even upset it took my foe so long to arrive. You see, I am getting sick and, with my parents out of town, have not had the luxury of being able to call in sick. I am basically, for all intent and purpose, the final word in making decisions during their absence since this time around they are in the Baltic sea and fairly unreachable. Normally they are just in North Carolina, only a phone call away, and therefore the company does not rely on me as much. This month however, I have been here and active in the day to day aspects of the business. Well, off to do more work. Lunch is over and I have to go buy doorbells for the lab and have them working by tonight. | | Lemming News Strike News Update | | 2008-02-11 14:10:00 | | I realize that I have been negligent on my coverage of the Lemming Strike, but you must understand that, by the very nature of a strike, there really has been no news to report. The Lemmings are on strike which means they are not jumping off cliffs, not following leaders, not doing any of the “lemming” behaviors that I would normally be reporting on so, I suppose that I too am therefore on strike, although I am not striking for anything in particular other than for the Lemmings to do something, anything that I can report. There was an almost interesting development the other night on the strike line actually; something almost news worthy even. The alien zombie invasion had made its way to the striking grounds a few hours before I was successful in fighting them off. There was a short period of time where the striking Lemmings found themselves stuck between a cliff and a horde of raging alien zombies. The current time is twenty minutes after the hour and we are about to begin day two of the strikeTension could not be higher at the moment. The two sides are bitterly split apart with what appears, right now at least, to be an insurmountable difference of opinion. I honestly think this strike could very well extend way past breakfast and, possibly even into lunch. I have some things I am working through right now and trying to get straight in my head. I never deal with things well so I am also suffering from physical illness right now due to my mental state. I puked in the parking lot at work today for example, but never fear for me. These things are normal and, for me at least, according to clockwork. My last mental breakdown was when I was 27, so these things seem to be on a nine year plan. It drove me to leave the Pizza business and move to Miami and get into the family business (not the mob; watch less movies). Now, at 36, I feel the need to figure out my next step and that is what is ailing me. I should be back to form very soon (I hope). Expect a real update tomorrow. Until then, enjoy your sanity. | | ***Lemming Movie Alert*** | | 2007-10-03 23:46:00 | | I just got sucked into a movie. I should have been in bed a while ago, but I could not stop watching it. It is an indie movie so it was just shown on HDNet once before it starts in theaters on the 10th, I think. It will be limited release, so don't feel bad if you don't catch it, but keep an eye out for the DVD or hopefully a second showing. The movie is called "Weirdsville" by the way. I should probably write some type of review or something, but, as I said, I really need to goto sleep. | Sharing Time at the Lemming House | | 2007-07-11 20:48:00 | | So it seems today that I just cannot stop (yawn), sorry. As I was saying, I just cannot stop (yawn), sorry again. One more time- it seems all day long today (yawn) I cannot stop (yawn) yawning. I am not (yawn) tired or anything per say. I know I got plenty of (yawn) sleep last night, but I still am (yawn) yawning every few minutes. My jaw is getting a great stretch, but my (yawn) eyes tend to water when I yawn and (yawn) I am getting tired of wiping them. Getting tired only means more (yawn) yawning to come.Other than the (yawn) yawns it seems I have nothing particularly to blog about today. I just felt the need to pass on the yawns and to see if they are contagious if you don’t see them, but still know they are happening. See, I am not the brave and stoic figure I present here on this blog. In reality, I am actually a bundle of neurosis held together by stands of sanity. Imagine a ball of yarn after being played with by a cat and that is me inside- emotionally, not physically. I don’t think I would be alive if I were all mangled up inside actually. That is a rather sick thought too. I’m gonna move on now I think to my point. I have to face one of my more recent fears this Friday and I am really not looking forward to anything other than it all being over with.
