Liberty Group Holds an “Open Carry Litter Pickup” Event to Celebrate New Hampshire’s Gun Laws
    2008-05-04 07:23:19
A group called the Free State Project is looking to raise awareness of New Hampshire’s gun laws by staging an event that they call open carry litter pickup. It is exactly what it sounds like. This group will be wearing their firearms open carry while they clean the streets. In New Hampshire a permit is needed [...]

Explore Liberty City with Google Map application
    2008-05-03 23:03:08
Between the comprehensive in-game map, the GPS-imbued minimap, and the TomTom-esque functionality of certain vehicles, we've yet to misplace ourselves within Liberty City's digital boroughs. Still, if you find yourself lost whilst playing Grand Theft Auto IV, we guess this Liberty City map application using the Google Maps interface would come in handy. A number of user contributions have already been made to the map, showing the location of hidden items, easter eggs, pigeon locations, stunt jumps, and yes, even hookers, whom we assume were fitted with GPS locaters by trained prostitute handlers before being released back into the wild. It makes for a useful cartographical companion for those with a laptop near their console of choice -- if you don't mind ruining the fun of exploring the nooks and crannies of Rockstar's intricately crafted metropolis for yourself, that is.

Liberty Mutual To Buy Safeco For $6.2 billion
    2008-04-23 13:59:56
SAN FRANCISCO - Liberty Mutual Group said on Wednesday that it agreed to buy auto insurer Safeco Corp. for more than $6 billion in cash in a deal that would create the fifth-largest property and casualty insurance company in the U.S. The acquisition also suggests the sector may be ripe for consolidation after several years of lackluster deal-making. Hanover Insurance Group, Mercury General, Navigators Group and SeaBright Insurance were highlighted as possible takeover targets by some analysts. Those stocks rallied during morning trading Wednesday. Liberty, a big, Boston-based mutually owned insurer that sells personal and commercial policies through independent agents, said it agreed to pay $68.25 a share for Safeco a Seattle-based company that specializes in auto insurance and surety policies. The deal values Safeco at roughly $6.2 billion, or 1.8 times book value. The offer is a 51% premium to the target

Turning Point: Fall of Liberty +7 Trainer for 1.0
    2008-04-10 10:41:00
Turning Point Fall of Liberty 7 Trainer for 10 descriptionIn 1931, Winston Churchill was hit by a taxi in New York. In the real world, he survived, and went on to rally the British people to fight the Nazi threat. But what if he hadn’t?It’s from this premise that Fall Of Liberty takes it’s theme - without Churchill’s leadership, Europe and the United Kingdom have fallen to Hitler’s forces. By 1951, using crushing technical superiority, the United States is invaded and defeated by the Third Reich. With this setting, Fall Of Liberty will be an FPS experience like no other; a game that’s both a World War 2 FPS and something different. Fighting not as a soldier, but a resistance fighter in a United States of America that’s under the rule of a foreign power.Exclusive to next-generation platforms and PC, Fall Of Liberty breathes new life into the FPS genre like no title has done before.Download Turning Point: Fall of Liberty +7 Trainer for 1.0 (934 KB)

Statue of Liberty - New York’s Famous Symbol
    2008-03-25 21:39:53
Perhaps the most famous symbol of New York City is the Statue of Liberty, located on Liberty Island. France presented it to the US in 1886 as a gesture of friendship. The statue has been made famous over & over again by being featured in Hollywood movies like Superman & X-men. It’s a must visit for tourists in New York City!Make sure you find the best nearby New York City Hotels so that you won’t have to travel too far to visit the famous Statue of Liberty. One way to visit Liberty Island, perhaps the most efficient way; is through midtown Manhattan. After going on the New York City subway to Battery Park, a ferry will depart to the island. One can find a place to stay near Battery Park city on the NewYorkHotels.com website.

2005Paso RoblesCaliforniaWould drink again.I thought I'd reviewed this in the past, but apparently not. The Guy and I had a glass of Liberty School Cab ages ago on Martha's Vineyard and it was SO good. I haven't had that good an experience with the cab since. This is good. It's pleasant. It's drinkable. It's just missing a slight edge. Nice, safe berry flavor mingled with vanilla.I recommend drinking it with beef or grilled foods. It's also good enough to drink on its own.Hopefully this is the last of the "Cut and Paste" as I'm very happy to report that my broken camera has been repaired and is once again in my hands. I've missed taking photos of the wines we drink. I'm looking forward to getting "back in business" as I've felt something missing for the last few weeks."By making this wine vine known to the public, I have rendered my country as great a service as if I had enabled it to pay back the national debt." Countless youngsters are shaking off apathy, signing petitions, launching online campaigns and joining forces to exercise their collective power to ensure that their voices are heard in the halls of power. Obamamania? What would a couple of beery Canadians who only watch CNN when hangovers preclude a remote control hunt know about that? 2008 Liberty Has The Escape Factor By Anthony Fontanelle
    2008-02-28 17:44:26
One of the most profitable segments in the industry is the sport utility. But with overwhelming choices, how are you to find which one has the greatest escape factor?Watchers in the industry find the redesigned 2008 Jeep Liberty the cream-of-the-crop among compact sport utilities. Why? This is because it has that distinct escape factor. The ancestor of the 2008 Liberty is rugged yet adorable. It boasts of ideal space for adults and refined ergonomics. Also, it could travel someplace where unibody car-based utes dare not trek. It has some limitations, nonetheless. Cargo capacity behind the rear seat was reduced and the window switches found at the center of the cabin rather than on the doors, might have disturbed some occupants. The 2008 Liberty, which debuted at last yearÂ’s New York International Auto Show, received a timely redesign. The models being offered include Sport and Limited. For the 2008 model year, the manufacturer of the rugged Jeep wheels returned to the proverbial drawing

    C-gold’s Advantage over E-gold, Liberty Reserve, & E-Bullion
    2008-01-23 17:32:50
C-gold; quite a new addition the list of online payment options has its advantages over other online payment companies. Other online payment companies like E-gold, Liberty Reserve, & E-Bullion are famous with Liberty Reserve being the only USD based payment processor among them. Some advantages that C-gold have over the other listed online payment processors I shall point out.C-gold is gold based while Liberty Reserve is USD based which is C-gold’s most obvious advantage. C-gold’s advantage over e-gold is that it is safe. You may often hear about balances in e-gold accounts being stolen but not so with c-gold. E-bullion has their share of chargebacks, confiscations, & frozen accounts issues. C-gold is just the opposite. So you can pretty much understand why people are considering or have opened a c-gold account regardless of the site’s aesthetics.

    Bowl Preview: Liberty, Meineke, Alamo
    2007-12-28 23:21:00
Mississippi State v. UCF: Liberty BowlCentral Florida features the best player that you've never heard of in running back Kevin Smith (pictured), who has rushed for 2,448 yards and 30 total touchdowns. The junior back needs just 180 yards to break Barry Sanders' all-time, single-season rushing record. Over his last four games, the junior running back has piled up 1,000 yards. The Knights lack a strong passing game and therefore rely heavily on Smith as he averages over 30 carries per game. If Mississippi State is to stop Central Florida than they must shut down Smith who has feasted upon weak rush defenses. The Bulldogs' front seven is the typical SEC defensive front as they rank just 65th nationally against, which should allow Smith to have a big day rushing the football. What hurts the Bulldogs even more is the fact that their offense is one of the worst in the country, as they average just 305.33 yards, worse than 111 schools. Their top offensive star is running back Anthony Dixo

Make A Living in The Statue Of Liberty Estate
    2007-12-26 09:03:14
There's no doubt that New York is the best city to live in. I myself have a dream to at least spend a week in the elite and advance city as a tourist, and if in any case I have a chance to live a life there, that would be my pleasure! I bet so do you right? I mean who would left such a great place and a city of pride with the Statue of Liberty in their rich US land ? you might wander what is the cost of an average home available in the New York city, am I right?Based on the current report, the cost is about US$600,000 upwards, meaning that the cheapest home available in New York would cost you that amount which is quite expansive I believe. However, compare tothe economical level in New York, that is a fair price and we do need to realize that the real estate there is very costly as New York appeared to be such a large and important city in US. However, if you wouldn't really cared about money, but more onto the quality living, then you should consider to invest in some excellent real estate in New York andhandsomely receive 20% of your investment every year. Yeah, you heard me folks. And CityCribs is all you need where you can start finding the largest selection of rental luxury or absolutely no fee New York Apartments. Have I told you that not only New York Apartment, you are freely to search an apartment for rental or buying in almost all the cities in US.

    Speaking of Liberty
    2007-07-22 18:49:00
Author: Llewellyn H. RockwellPaperback: 471 pagesPublisher: Ludwig Von Mises Institute (December 2003) Language: EnglishISBN: 0945466382 Ludwig von Mises said that teaching the public was just as important as addressing scholars — maybe more so. That is what Lew Rockwell specializes in: history and theory and analysis in defense of the free society, written in clear prose to reach a broad audience. Rockwell's new book is as pro-liberty as it is brutally critical of government. It is relentlessly forthright yet hopeful about the prospects for liberty. It is rigorous enough to withstand the enemy's closest scrutiny, and chock full of the energy and enthusiasm that will keep you reading. Speaking of Liberty is a collection of speeches delivered by Rockwell over a period of ten years. The book begins with economics, and explains why Austrian economics matters, how the Federal Reserve brings on the business cycle, why we need private property and free enterprise, the unrecognized

Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness
    2007-07-04 16:52:00
On this Fourth of July I can't help but think about how lucky I am to live in this country. We may not be granted happiness, but we are given so many things that help us with the pursuit of it and isn't that what life is all about? Isn't that what we are all striving for every day? To find our own personal happiness, personal peace of mind and acceptance in this world. When I went to India a few years back, my eyes were opened up to just how lucky I am. Walking through the streets I saw these children running amuck, dirty, unsupervised, barefoot and their clothes were hanging off of them. My hearts went out to them. They loved getting their picture taken and seeing it on the camera. I went back a few months later and saw them again to my delight, but nothing had changed. Most everyone lived in cramped apartments and if you weren't that lucky you would be in a shanty or a small room made out of tin with a tarp for a roof. Your children would be playing in the sewers or helping you wo

It was equally as good served as an accompaniment to the dinner I made: Grilled pork tenderloin with garlic and ginger (recipe posted on Chez Nathalie site), baby red potatoes with Greek Yogurt, and a baby greens salad. For those who are not fond of intense oakiness, this is a low-oak wine. I tasted mostly pear, a hint of vanilla and slight butter. THE LOSS OF LIBERTY
    2007-06-14 21:55:00
(A Poetic Justice Photomontage) Libby Loses LibertyAnother man is destined to lose his freedom, the same water that feeds our wellspring, and we celebrate with the wingless corpse of justice that dots the landscape we move upon searching for an identity. There is no celebration in such loss. This land lays down its lambs for the blade, the blood, awash over our two-headed righteousness, stooped and bleeding, holding tight the country’s sword in one hand and with the other lobs the sinless stone. So, I weep at our oceans of loss. I cry for the world’s demise. Justice is swift- and blind- and stumbling over errant stones. O! There is no delight in our living if we will not see our way!Had we ended this folly long ago our joy might have seemed fitting in this; our fleshy requiem.O! The path needs our joy and it must also have our light!Death. O! Death he does not celebrate without first crushing something! And life. O Life! She does not celebrate living that lunges back again and again

Taking Children Seriously & the Future of Liberty

This chick kicks ass. TCS: The Final Phase of The Enlightenment Transcript of a speech given at the World Libertarian Conference in London, Ontario, in July, 2000. by: Sarah Fitz-ClaridgeTaking Children Seriously (TCS) is the name of an organisation I founded to promote the libertarian educational philosophy. Perhaps I was less diplomatic than the parent thought appropriate, because he accused me of trying to coerce him into changing his parenting practices, and then played the “children-are-property” card: “It's none of your business how I raise my child.” ...Read More...More TCS links:Wikipedia - Taki
