| Huh? Fewer 16-year olds are getting their licenses | | 2008-02-29 19:26:01 | | Have
teenagers gone nuts? The Federal Highway Administration is reporting
that the percentage of teenagers with driver's licenses is going down.
Yeah, decreasing! What is up with that?
When I was growing up, my teenage years focused on just one
objective... driving. All I wanted was to get my driver's license. That
little card with your picture on it was the golden ticket. You could
borrow your parent's car, fill the tank (and grab a candy bar) for $20,
and nobody could reach you until you returned. We didn't have cell
phones, text messaging or GPS tracking. A driver's license represented
freedom.
So, what happened? Experts aren't blaming unmotivated teenagers.
Instead, they point the finger at the environment in which we are

the driving age limit higher. Fewer high schools are offeri... | | By: Auto Photo | | |

| Kids On Driver’s Licenses: Meh! | | 2008-02-27 20:33:12 | | Well this is really odd: according to statistics from the Federal Highway Administration, there are less teens with driver’s licenses then a decade ago.
It used to be one half of 16 year olds had them, now it’s a third. Demographically speaking, that’s a HUGE drop.
I guess what I want to know is, what’s the driver… [...]

After New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer decided today to reject his prior push to allow driver's licenses for illegal immigrants, (Maybe because over 75% of the American people rejected it) Hillary Clinton changed her position as well.
