If Mankind Has Existed On This Earth For A Million Years, Then Where Are All The Bones? The Math Simply Does Not Add Up!
    2008-06-27 11:37:00
If mankind has existed on this earth for a million years, then where are all the bones? And where are all the trillions upon trillions of bones for all the animals and creatures that would have lived here all that time? The reality is that if you look at population growth figures and the number of fossils that are actually out there, then a lot of what we have been told does not make sense.Consider the following:-----http://www.godsaidmansaid.com/topic3.asp?Cat2=262&ItemID=668Today the population grows at 2% per year. If we set the population growth rate at just 0.5% per year, then total population reduces to zero at about 4500 years ago. If the first humans lived 1,000,000 years ago, then at this 0.5% growth rate, we would have 10^2100 (ten with 2100 zeroes following it) people right now. If the present population was a result of 1,000,000 years of human history, then several trillion people must have lived and died since the emergence of our species. Where are all the bones? And fi

I like it so much that I even considered watching the math videos instead of watching television shows! Boy, am I hooked! But seriously, they are very good math videos at MathVids.com. The popular math of Hillary Clinton
    2008-05-21 07:42:00
As expected, Hillary Clinton took Kentucky last night with Barack Obama winning Oregon. Without all of Oregon's districts having reported in yet, the Clinton campaign has restarted their constant yarbling that she is ahead of Obama in the popular vote, therefore it is in the superdelegates best interest to follow the will of the people.Alright, that's a bit of a stretch. For the Clinton campaign's popular vote claim to be true, a few circumstances have to be taken into account (all numbers coming from RealClearPolitics). Both Michigan and Florida count towards the total, even though both have been stripped of their delegates for breaking DNC rules. The vote in Michigan is counted exactly as it stands, with Obama receiving zero votes, as he was not on the ballot. The caucus states of Iowa, Nevada, Maine and Washington are completely disregarded, without even an estimate used to represent their results. The first point is quite expected. The Clinton campaign has been referring to Michigan a

    Math Degree
    2008-04-01 23:26:20
Is it just bass-ackwards that I love a good math joke, but still avoid balancing my checkbook like the plague? Not really; what fun is it to balance a checkbook? That’s almost like working your way toward bad news. No, that’s exactly what it is. Some things I’d just rather not know. It’s the same with taxes. I could do it myself, but I’d end up angry, frustrated, and tired, which just isn’t worth it. But a good math joke, or better yet, a math pun, can make me smile all day long. I don't know if these will do that much for you, but a smile for a minute is still worth a read. Perelman's Proof of the Poincare Conjecture Professor Steve Sawin of Fairfield University. The Math of the Democratic Delegates
    2008-03-15 20:13:15
Cross posted with PoliticalGrind.comSo it’s come down to this: an all out fight between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama for the Democratic nomination. Let’s take a quick look at the current numbers:Obama: 1402 pledged (non-super) delegatesClinton: 1240 pledged (non-super) delegatesKeep in mind, 2025 delegates are needed to win. And how many non-super delegates are left to win? 566. That means it is mathematically impossible for either candidate to win without the support of the super delegates, unless Florida and Michigan get revotes. And even then, it’s pretty unlikely that either candidate would receive enough votes; races between Clinton and Obama have been close.Ouch. That’s painful. So how many superdelegates are there? 795. That’s really not a lot. Every vote, quite literally, will count.

Within two weeks, the DVD rental company had received 169 submissions, including three that were slightly superior to Cinematch, Netflix's recommendation software. Do the math first-homework time!
    2008-02-25 11:18:05
Blogging is not as easy as 1-2-3 anymore! Imagine, we get to solve problems now before we can get through with holding an opp at the PPP. Wow! The blogging world is getting interesting. You can't pick, go and think it's yours, you can't just type in letters and reserve an opp anymore, but do the math first...LOL. It's homework time! However, it is nothing to a lot of people that understands English so well. Lucky for them, they get to go first. But, of course in some cases it is only a matter of how quick minded you are, as in being brilliant. I was taken aback when I noticed the difference and didn't get anything at all the first time. I am always too slow, though the quizes are simple enough-easy to solve. By the way, I like the change though, a new phase of catching opps, it is exciting and will only get people to think more than just thinking about the amount of the opp...LOL. The PayPerPost, certainly did a good job with that. Use your noodle first, that will make people smarter..

New Year's Goal Setting and Math Add Up to Higher Grades for Students!
    2007-12-29 07:30:00
by: Susan JaremaTeaching math is one of the greatest ways to instill valuable goal-setting skills while ensuring academic success. Math provides the perfect opportunity for goal-setting lessons: its aims are realistic, obtainable, measurable and can be broken down into smaller goals or tasks. Developing goal-setting skills will help students learn how to manage their time, make better decisions and take ownership of their own academic progress.Unfortunately, most students never learn goal-setting techniques until after they have left school. But this need not be the case. Young children can start off by setting small goals to learn simple math facts, just as they learned their ABCs. For many students, their first daunting academic goal might be memorizing the times tables. Older students can set goals to improve their grades, learn new concepts or even go back to strengthen mental math skills. You want your child's first serious goal-setting experience to be a successful one. Math Tutors for kids...
    2007-07-07 12:06:00
My husband and I are always concern about our daughter's learning ability, as she was falling behind her peers during her kindergarten school year. So, we are in the process of looking in to an online program for kids. Currently, I found math tutors for children ages 4-14. We can enroll her and get a math tutoring program for her to learn math as she is especially needing help in math. It's seems to be the hardest subject to face in school even back then when I was going to school, so, hopefully such program can help her in means of being able to keep up in school. We want to prepare her for this next school year.

    Math Tutors...
    2007-05-07 17:53:00
Our daughter needs tutoring help especially in Math, and I recently found a website that offers what I am looking for, a "math tutors. However, it is only through the computer, an online program, because unfortunately, there is no tutoring center here around our area. But the main thing is I have to do what I have to do, in order for our daughter to do better in school. And that is through the E-Score Online Program: www.escore.com. It works for me, though, because we are not really stable right now, we can be on the go anytime for our other daughter has a medical problem. Anyway, I checked it out to see what I can do, to benefit our daughter. The site provided me a lot of information about educational tools on how to better prepare her for the next school year. I am given some useful tips about having her get ahead or at least keep up in school. So, that is great, I have a lot of different programs to choose from and not just Math, but other academic skills that she is greatly lacking

Today we saw the British Pound sour above the 2.0000 level marking a breakthrough of a major psychological barrier. I have to admit that over the past several months I have cheated on my favorite currency pair in lieu of the Euro and Yen. I have to take a moment to reflect while the Pound sits at levels it has not seen in 15 years. What does this really mean?Has Sarbox regulatory constraints contributed to the raise of cable?Has geo-political events ushered in a long term change against the USD?Or has the change in central bank reserves been good for the pound?Nah! What this really means is that it is now easy math for us Americans traveling to the UK. A pint of beer in the pub costing £3 can easily be converted to $6.
