    Buying medicines online
    2008-08-28 04:38:00
Continuing with my reviews on sites that offer medicines online , I am going to review  a site called consumerpricewatch.net that offers drugs / medicine basically. Just by the look of it the site is not so impressive. But i like simple sites coz i have low speed net. The best part of the site is that it has to flashy claims that the other site have to offer. They give in dept detail on the medicine both pros and cons. By far this is one of  the few sites that allows users to comment on the drug. Just checkout this page on Phentermine Review.  As you can see there are more negative reviews than positive. Great for a buyer. You get lot of info on weather they are good or not. Just checkout thessite and comment back your opinion on the site as it might be helpful to others interested.

No Cold, Cough Medicines for Babies
    2008-06-24 12:21:47
The FDA urged parents and caregivers not to give over-the-counter (OTC) cough and cold medicines to children younger than 2 because of dangerous side effects.OTC cough and cold products include decongestants, expectorants, antihistamines, and antitussives (cough suppressants) for the treatment of colds. An FDA news release states that rare, serious adverse events -- including convulsions, rapid heart rates, decreased levels of consciousness, and death -- have been reported with use of cough and cold products. Parents are advised to be very careful in giving more than one over-the-counter cough and cold medication to your child. Remember that many over-the-counter cough and cold products have multiple medications in them. If you use two medications that have similar active ingredients, a child could get too much of the ingredient, which could be harmful. Full Story

    Customized Medicines:
    2007-12-06 06:09:00
Ever wondered what would happen if you take a pill that perfectly understands your body and knows just how to make you well? It might not be that long before such a pill is actually prescribed by doctors and physicians if scientists dealing in a branch of medicine called pharmacogenomics have anything to go by.Bioengineers have long been in the midst of developing medicines that are easier on the human body. The interaction between an individual’s genetic makeup and a particular drug or medicine is what they closely observe. The study of pharmacogenomics combines the sciences of pharmaceuticals and genetics and tires to understand the DNA variations in the human genome. The immediate environment, personal diet, age, lifestyle, etc. are key factors that control the manner in which the human body responds to medicines, besides the genetic makeup of a body.Biotechnology holds a lot of hope for the human generation. By developing drugs that understand and know how to adapt to an individual’s inherent genes, it aims to create safer and more efficient ways of treatment.Inputs for NISM books dealing with biotechnology come from renowned researchers, biologists, scientists and doctors.Joel Ball, President of the National Institute of Science Media [NISM] is a well-established publisher of books and study resources in the field of biotechnology and other sciences. 2006-10-20 09:02:00
With hundreds of drug-dispensing Websites in business, how can consumers tell which sites are legitimate ones, especially when it is very easy to set up a site that is very professional looking and promises deep discounts or a minimum of hassles? If you buy medical products online, be aware of the following dangers!I am alarmed at the ever increasing number of counterfeit medicines sold via the internet, Commission Vice-President Günter Verheugen said. This represents a real danger to the health of patients. The Commission is working with European and international partners to do everything possible to ensure legal methods for marketing of medicines are respected and enforced. The European Commission publicly issued a warning to consumers on March 27th that fake versions Acomplia were being sold over the internet, even though the drug at that time had not been approved for sale anywhere ans as a result was not being sold by Sanofi anywhere in the world.
