With a capital G.I was actually sure it to be good, but THIS good?It's really well polished for being a beta, the gameplay is engaging and fun, and it has quite a lot of depth (more than the usual FPS online) expecially if one strives to learn all the functions and variate his gaming style.The control scheme may be a bit daunting at first (expecially if you expect it to be the same as the other MGS games), but as soon as you get used to it, you'll notice that it's very intuitive and flexible.The maps themselves are quite well designed and graphically stunning. Expecially the Grozny Grad one will have Metal Gear Solid 3 fans shed a tear, while they see the former impregnable soviet fortress shine in high resolution. Originally scheduled to be available this morning, the beta test of Konami's upcoming online version of its stealth action series has been bumped back to a tentative April 25 start date, with a warning that Konami may fail to fix the issues and be forced to move it back even further. On April 17, would-be players who had acquired access to the beta from Konami found that they were unable to complete one or more steps in the process. Some players couldn't register a "Konami ID" with the company, required to play the game. Some were given faulty promotional codes that wouldn't let them download the software. And most found that a required patch simply couldn't be downloaded, apparently because of extreme server load issues. Inserito originariamente da Abriael The Metal Gear Solid Online premiere beta starts tonight, at midnight (european time) and i'm definately excited. I bet many of you are excited as much as I am, at least the ones that got a beta code (in the US) or managed to sign up for a Konami ID despite the extra busy website (in Europe).You better be careful though, because Konami already updated the game, tthere's a further download to do (in addition to the PSN one) and it's a quite big one. You can access it directly from the game, but don't even try with the HTML download option. Traffic is so high that it's nearly impossible. Luckily they decided to add a Peer to Peer Torrent download, which works at a decent speed (around 25k/sec for me).
