Mini Metronome by 555 Timer/Oscillator IC
    2008-08-22 13:30:14
This mini metronome gives a linear scaled output and 40 to 208 beats per minute. Circuit Operation: 1- Q1 and Q2 transistors provide linear frequency variation of IC1 depending on the changes of P1 value. 2- Q3 amplifies the click sound output and gives louder beats. 3- To provide a higher output , a 12V micro battery is used. It also makes the circuitry more compact. 4- Rotate the P1 potentiometer fully towards R2, then set R1 to obtain 40 beats per minute by the help of another metronome

    2008-03-03 02:15:00
Korg tuners and metronomes are acclaimed for their extremely high accuracy and superb features. Korg TM-40 combines these two functions into a single compact easy-to-use unit. A great lesson and practice tool, the TM-40 offers both tuner and metronome functions simultaneously or independently in a handheld unit that you can carry everywhere. Its large LCD-type needle delivers both the accuracy of an LCD and the excellent visibility of a needle indicator. It also has LED indicators that show pitch deviation or blink to indicate the tempo, making the TM-40 a highly visual tool. The TM-40's Calibration setting is adjustable in a range of 410~480 Hz to accommodate a variety of tuning standards. The calibration can be adjusted in 1 Hz steps, letting you accurately tune to any song or key. Memory backup is also provided so that the Calibration and Sound Out (?12 NOTES? or ?ABb?) settings are remembered even when the power is turned off. When intervals of a third are played out of tune in th

Practicing Guitar With A Metronome -Why And How You Should Do It
    2007-03-21 20:21:00
For some reason most of the self-taught guitar players I know do not own a metronome. Whether they don’t understand the importance of being able to play in time and to tempo, or they think they can keep tempo just fine by tapping their foot, or they are just plain lazy, most self-taught guitar players do not practice with a metronome. If you want to build speed, timing, and rhythm you need to
