Michael Vick Makes Us Want to Vomit
    2008-07-18 21:19:36
SELLER: Michael VickLOCATION: Darlington Run, Duluth, GAPRICE: $4,500,000SIZE: 10,563 square feet, 7 bedrooms, 8.5 bathroomsYOUR MAMAS NOTES: Not only does Your Mama care little about football and football players (sorry children, that's just the way it is), we like animal torturers even less. In fact, as far as Your Mama is concerned, people who mistreat animals are nothing more than living breathing pieces of puke. And it would seem from recent press reports that footballer Michael Vick, who allegedly has herpes, is the lowest of the low. After all, this is a man who owned a house with a dog rape machine. Yes children, a dog rape machine, which is apparently used to breed dogs. Just typing that gives us the goose bumps and turns our stomach. If Your Mama and the Dr. Cooter had our way, we'd stick Mister Vick in his dog rape machine and let anyone with a mind to take a turn on his damn backside.Anyhoo, we're here to discuss the real estate and not Mister Vicks morals, or lack thereof.

    Michael Vick's sentenced
    2007-12-10 11:38:20
If you are a big fan of the National Football League, you must know Michael Vick. He was once one of the highest paid players in the NFL. He had a dog case remember? I read the news and learned that Michael Vick was sentenced to 23 months in prison for financing a dogfighting ring and helping to kill pit bulls that did not fight aggressively. Hmmm...I wonder what would be the reaction of other people about this sentenced. Does the punishment fits the crime? Is it too kind? or not enough? Be the judge.I got a cute dog. We don't treat her as pet but part of our family. In fact, she's the baby of the house. I am against animal cruelty and I hope people like Mike Vick will learn their lessons.*Photo source: http://www.reuters.com

Michael Vick put his Georgia house on the market as his legal and financial misfortunes spiral. Vick's three year old Duluth, Georgia, home is listed at $4.5 million and features 8 bedrooms and 8.5 baths. It has lake views, 1.5 acres and is on the waterfront. Vick has been suspended from playing in the NFL and is losing millions from his Atlanta Falcons salary. Vick has plead guilty to federal

Whoopie Goldberg Thinks Michael Vick Is Misunderstood
    2007-09-05 22:35:36
Whoopie Goldberg made her View debut yesterday, taking over the vacant spot left by Rosie O’Donnel. Goldberg proceeded to begin the long climb towards making just as much as ass out of herself as Rosie did by defending Michael Vick. You know, that dude that ran a dog fighting ring and then killed [...]

Dismissing Life: The Michael Vick Story.
    2007-08-31 04:24:00
I like to look at an issue in the national papers from time to time in order to flush out a few underlying aspects that may be missed in the rush to form our opinions. The Michael Vick story to me highlights our often times blatant dismissal of life. In fact, it points to not holding anything sacred anymore, basically desecrating life on Earth. Now before you agree with me, hear me out, because

Michael Vick: Why Are Liberals Asking Blacks to Defend Him?
    2007-08-29 04:01:27
Michael Vick is probably one of the greatest athletes ever to enter the National Football League. Nevertheless, the man tortures and mutilates dogs on the side, while people bet on it. Evidently, Michael Vick thought this was a good way to spend his time outside the gym.My major problem with Vick is not only the dogs he tortures, but the end result of promoting this behavior. Notably, these abused dogs are often let out into the neighborhood and attack people or other animals. As a result, Legislatures pass breed-specific legislation to kill all dogs that look like Pit Bulls. In Denver, Colorado, family dogs were taken from peoples’ homes and killed because the Legislatures thought the problem was the dogs, not the people. Nobody seems to remember that the American Pit Bull was the dog of WWII, Helen Keller owned a Pit Bull as a therapy dog (Pit Bulls are still used as therapy dogs in Europe), Pit Bulls were filmed in the movies “Homeward Bound” and “Little Rascals,” Jack

Michael Vick Pleads Guilty to Federal Dogfighting Charges
    2007-08-27 21:57:53
He may be admitting to being remorseful now, but if he wasn't caught by the system, I don't doubt that he would have stopped his repulsive behavior. If I were the judge, I would sentence Michael Vick to five years behind prison bars and furthermore, I wouldn't recommend that he be paroled while he serves. Once he IS released I would have him volunteer for another five years at the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. Sound harsh? I don't think so - not when you consider what he put those poor, innocent dogs through by his heartless decisions. READ ABOUT THIS HEREPractice non-violence in your lives. You will be leaving your children a beautiful legacy.

    Bad News For Michael Vick
    2007-07-30 19:54:32
I am a firm believer in the whole “innocent until proven guilty” thing that we have going here in the U.S. In this day and age of 24 hour media coverage and FOX News I feel like most people forget about this part of our judicial system. That being said I think that Michael Vick just went from “deep shit” to “seriously deep you can’t see daylight shit”. One of Vick’s co-defendents, Tony Taylor, pleaded guilty today to federal dogfighting conspiracy charges and agreed to cooperate with the government. Here is the bitch of it. Mr. Taylor didn’t even sign an official plea deal with the government. Sure he will probably receive a reduced sentence but he has no guarantee on paper. According to the MSNBC.com article the judge was quoted as saying “You’re pleading guilty and taking your chances, right?” To which Taylor responded, “Yes.” Frankly I applaud the guy. Overall he is a prick that tortured animals but it is rare occurrence in our current society for someon

Michael Vick Indicted on Dog Fighting Conspiracy Charges
    2007-07-20 17:17:06
Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick (aka “Ookie” according to the indictment), at one point the cover boy of EA Sports’ Madden Football and one of the most popular and unbelievably athletic players in the NFL, has been indicted by a federal grand jury on charges related to running a dog fighting ring in multiple states. Property owned by Vick purportedly housed hundreds of pit bulls, had more animals buried throughout the premises, and had animal killing and mating equipment. Very ugly stuff. At one point I was a big fan of Mike Vick’s. Recently, however, he seems to have let his stardom give him an “above-the-law” attitude. Big mistake. If these charges hold up, Vick could be out of job and even without being convicted he faces a huge PR nightmare as there were obviously shenanigans going on at the property he owned. Basically, it’s just a terribly sad situation. These poor animals deserve much better than to be fought and slaughte

    Michael Vick Is A Disgrace
    2007-07-19 05:04:16
In a word, Vick is a DISGRACE to the NFL, period. This is a post from May 24, 2007. With the breaking news yesterday of Vick's indictment on Dog Fighting charges I felt it needed a ReHash.... More on the story that just won't go away.  I talked at length about Michael Vick on MHR Radio last night, about his supposed involvement in a dog-fighting ring that was run at a property he owns in Virginia.  I made the point that behind capital crimes, cruelty to animals is one of the most despicable acts a person can do.  Finding enjoyment watching two under-fed, tortured dogs, mame and kill each other on a Friday night makes me ill, and that's if you are some scum-ball living in a trailer.  If you are a Professional football player, one that makes $100 million, it makes me throw up in my mouth. The story is back in the forefront of the news because NFL players continue to stick their foot right into the leagues proverbial mouth.  First, it was Clinton Portis

    Michael Vick is a Monster
    2007-07-18 17:21:00
The indictment handed down Tuesday against Falcons quarterback Michael Vick and three others describes in detail how they procured a property in Virginia for the purpose of staging dogfights, bought dogs and then fought them there, and in several other states, over a 6-year period. The new commish seems bent on making sure these guys behave. I'll bet he gets suspended. Atlanta just traded their backup to Houston too. Doh!If found guilty, he should be tossed into a ring with three or four of his fighting dogs and fight to the finish; if he is not dead by the end of the match he can choose his own method of death he gave to the dogs: electrocution, drowning, gutting with a knife or a gun shot wound to the head.http://feeds.feedburner.com/blogspot/naOQ

    Breaking the Habit: Michael Vick
    2007-07-18 13:28:42
The Joey Harrington era might have begun in Atlanta. Michael Vick was indicted yesterday by a federal grand jury, charged with competitive dogfighting. And while Vick's future in the NFL is certainly in doubt, there is no denying the fact that not since Enron have we seen a stock plummet such as Vick's has.And this just might be a good thing for fantasy owners. With this cloud of uncertainty hanging over Vick, those of us who are addicted to owning Vick in our leagues might finally get a chance to break the habit.Every year around this time, countless owners start repeating the following mantra: "I will not draft Vick. I will not draft Vick..." Over the course of his career, he has been all but certain to burn any fantasy team he touches. And yet people kept drafting him. Something about the potential of it all was just too hard to resist. The blinding speed, the cannon of an arm, the ablility to go off statistically at any time."It's like having an extra running back," they would s

    Is Michael Vick’s Contract Voidable?
    2007-07-10 20:27:12
On December 2004 when the Falcons signed Michael Vick to a 10-year, $130 million contract, owner Arthur Blank proclaimed: “He’s a Falcon for life.”  Vick’s contract, though, is not nearly as binding as the Falcons owner’s words make it out to be.  If, theoretically, the Falcons wanted to trade or release their embattled quarterback, his contract would not necessarily preclude it.  The Falcons have given no indication of wanting to unload Vick, who has been involved in a series of off-field controversies. But from a contractual standpoint, what would happen if the team got to that point with him? NFL contracts, unlike those in Major League Baseball, the NBA and the NHL, are not fully guaranteed.  What that means is that football players are assured of receiving only the portions of their contracts that are stipulated to be guaranteed  - generally signing bonuses in most cases.  Vick’s contract included $37 million in guaranteed bonu

2007 Fantasy Football Player Profile-QB Michael Vick
    2007-05-31 14:00:00
QB Michael Vick, Atlanta Falcons 2006 Stats: 2474 passing yards, 1039 rushing yards, 22 total TDs, 13 INTs Projected 2007 Stats: 2411 passing yards, 777 rushing yards, 18 total TDs, 11 INTsProjected Fantasy Round: 9th RoundQuarterbacks to be Picked ahead of Michael Vick: Peyton Manning, Carson Palmer, Drew Brees, etc. Fantasy Outlook: Why should you draft Michael Vick: Last season, Michael Vick had 2474 passing yards, 1039 rushing yards, and a total of 22 touchdowns.  In other words, he is a dual threat, and with him shouldering so much of the load on offense for the Falcons, Vick is more than capable of racking up huge fantasy numbers. For example, one week in 2006, Vick scrambled for 166 rushing yards, and in another week, he passed for 237 yards and four touchdowns. It is worth noting, the Falcons have a new sheriff in town, and Bobby Petrino could end up being just the type of coach needed to get the most production possible out of Vick. Lastly, since Vick appears to be los
