    Daily Rant 5/19 - Mike Huckabee's Joke
    2008-05-19 06:31:12
Why does any conservative who makes a light hearted joke have to apologize? I don't get it...the liberals in congress on the floor can call GW the worst things on the planet and who holds there feet to the fire? NO ONE!!! The liberal media group is horrible, they want to see this country go down the pot so they will have more bad news to report. If I were Huckabee I would not have apologized, he did nothing wrong...and hopefully he is top in the running for VP.

MSNBC Cuts Out Mike Huckabee's Concession Speech
    2008-03-04 23:50:59
I was just watching Mike Huckabee on Fox News giving a very moving concession speech. With great class, he appeared to endorse John McCain. Then it hit me that I should check MSNBC to see if they were commenting on Huckabee, because Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews hate Huckabee's guts. Well, when I changed the channel, it turns out that MSNBC decided to let Keith Olbermann ramble on about... Click the Headline Link to Visit Copious Dissent and Read the Full Story.

How Mike Huckabee Has Changed America
    2008-02-29 07:54:37
THE LITTLE GOVERNOR WHO COULDHave any of us stopped to think what a great thing Mike Huckabee has done for this country?  I don’t know if you are old enough to remember the old TV series A Family Affair.  There was a little kid on it named Johnny Whitaker, who had a top record, Every Little Boy Should Be President.  During that time frame he also played Huck Finn, which should tell you something of his appearance. It was adorable, and he made the rounds of all the variety and musical television shows, of which there were many ...

    Mike Huckabee SNL Video
    2008-02-24 17:16:00
Mike Huckabee was on SNL last night. He took part in a skit mocking his chances of winning the republican nomination. I really don't get why Huckabee is still in the race, but at least he has some sense of humor about it.

    Mike Huckabee Hates Madge!
    2008-01-15 15:11:13
People often ask me why I no longer identify as a Christian and why I’ve begun to explore alternative religions. Although this isn’t written by Mike Huckabee, it’s indicative of my impression of the Evangelical Christian movement.  Check out this blog post regarding Madonna written by one of the Huckster’s supporters (by the way, “Madonna” is [...]

Mike Huckabee vs. Ocean Township, NJ
    2008-01-05 20:06:30
After listening to Governor Mike Huckabee make a great comment during the ABC News Presidential debates tonight, I had to quote him here. When asked about illegal immigration and what he would do, Governor Huckabee said a bunch of things, but one quote caught my mind: “When people live in the United States, they ought [...]

Mike Huckabee, the New Howard Dean?
    2008-01-03 13:41:00
I was having a talk the other day with a very close friend of mine about Mike Huckabee and why it is that I don't see him winning the eventual GOP Nomination. Through the course of our conversation as I outlined my thoughts (much of which I covered a couple of posts down) my friend made what I thought was a pretty accurate prediction."Huckabee is going to be the next Howard Dean".I don't think i recognized the full gravity of that statement, even though I did agree with him at the time, I don't think he could have been more correct. As I pointed out yesterday, he basically made himself look like a complete idiot with his intimate knowledge on Pakistan. It seems like every chance he has had in the last two weeks to knock himself backwards, he's been happy to embrace by inserting his foot directly into his mouth. I don't think anyone has forgotten about the pretty scathing question about the Mormon religion to a reporter of all people either. Fast forward to just yesterday, when he crossed the WGA picket lines to appear on The Leno show. All of these things are slowly adding up, event by event. You have to wonder if there will be an eventual public meltdown much like the original Dean. And we draw even closer to Iowa this evening. Get your popcorn...

Mike Huckabee: A Big Enough Pretend Fool To Be President?
    2008-01-03 05:01:46
Mike Huckabee has demonstrated himself eminently qualified to be president of the United States, not by evincing any great knowledge or proficiency or depth of thought, but for showing exactly the opposite.Yes, here is a man with a capacity for calculated dopiness that may exceed that of even Ronald Reagan himself. Yesterday, in an [...]

Mike Huckabee Was Dropped on His Head as a Baby
    2007-12-22 00:13:22
Put yourself in the shoes of a Republican Presidential Candidate. You manage to lead in many polls despite the fact that you have little fundraising ability. The media parades you around like the second coming. You get Chuck Norris and Rick Flair to endorse you. WOOOOOOOOOO!!! So what would you do next to ensure that you stay ahead in the polls? A) Anger George Will; B) Infuriate Peggy... Click the Headline Link to Visit Copious Dissent and Read the Full Story.

Mike Huckabee: Undecided Republican's New Fad
    2007-12-20 19:41:12
When I think back to my days in elementary school (or grammar/primary school, for you Brits), one word will always pop into my head: fads. Power Rangers, Pokemon, etc. You know what I’m talking about. It’s one word the Republicans of Iowa and New Hampshire should keep in mind as well, as Mike Huckabee skyrockets in the polls. Mike Huckabee is just another Republican fad, during their desperate search for the right candidate.First there was Bill Frist, who decided not to run after a 2006 congressional loss. Then there was John McCain, the maverick from 2000, who fell out of style when the media focused attention on his stand on immigration. Soon after Rudy Giuliani, who was temporarily displaced by Fred Thompson before recapturing the lead. Then, more recently, Mitt Romney looked like he would be the nominee. Had his strategy of going for the early states worked? Had the GOP finally decided on a candidate? No. Huckabee plodded along at the perfect moment, taking advantage of the doubt at the ideal moment. As the wise old political analysts say, he said the right thing at the right time. His campaign accelerated in the first week of December, and hasn’t looked back since. Nevertheless, the Huckster has reason to worry – the wise old political analyst is predicting his downfall.Just a fadLet’s go through the basics a campaign needs to succeed in any state. First of all, funds. You’re not going to get anything done if you don’t have any cash money to do it with. Second, organization. Hillary Clinton showed us the importance of political organization. Thirdly, support for basic beliefs.Let’s go through these. Funds? Nope. Organization? Not really. Basic beliefs? Besides Christian fundamentalism, not so much.Huckabee’s positions on nearly every major issue contradict in basic ways with the fundamental ideas of the Republican Party. His foreign policy in many ways do not correspond with the hawks of his party. He has gone as far as to criticize the President

Video: Did Ron Paul Call Mike Huckabee a Fascist?
    2007-12-19 21:19:43
Cross posted on Vindication Media  Watch this video of Ron Paul on Fox and Friends. Steve Ducey askes Ron Paul about Huckabee’s add where there is a bookshelf that looks like a cross. First Ron Paul says he hasn’t thought too much about it, and then he goes off on a tangent about fascism that clearly shows [...]

Mike Huckabee Is Imploding. . . . Hopefully
    2007-12-17 21:54:42
The National Review has a damning indictment of Huckabee's supposed foreign policy positions: Huckabee did give a long speech on foreign policy at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in September. It combined a superficial rendering of conventional foreign-policy wisdom — which of course included many unfair criticisms of President Bush — with Huckabee’s inimitable folksy... Mike Huckabee: Jimmy Carter In Republican Drag
    2007-12-04 16:33:53
George Will shreds Mike Huckabee. . . . On the Republican side, Mike Huckabee’s candidacy rests on serial non sequiturs: I am a Christian, therefore I am a conservative, therefore whatever I have done or propose to do with “compassionate,” meaning enlarged, government is conservatism. And by the way, anything I denote as a “moral” issue is beyond debate other than by the uncaring forces of... Click the Headline Link to Visit Copious Dissent and Read the Full Story.

Mike Huckabee scores yet another endorsement no one cares about
    2007-11-20 16:06:00
Mike Huckabee has scored his second major endorsement this week! After losing 563 pounds, and being endorsed by Tom Delay, Chuck Norris, and now "wrestler" Rick Flair, will anyone be able to stop Mike Huckabee? Now, Huckabee is getting ready to rumble: wrestler Ric Flair, a.k.a. The Nature Boy, is supporting the former Arkansas governor in his bid for the White House. CNN has learned the WWE wrestler is on board with Huckabee, and will co-host a campaign tailgate with the candidate at the South Carolina vs. Clemson football game on Saturday afternoon in Columbia, South Carolina. More details are forthcoming. EARLIER: Mike Huckabee picks up another uber important endorsement UPDATE: DeLay gives Huckabee the kiss of death

Mike Huckabee picks up another uber important endorsement
    2007-11-19 17:53:00
First, Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee received an endorsement from Tom Delay (Fraud - TX), and now he's picked up another endorsement he should be so proud of: Being endorsed by Tom Delay and Chuck Norris? Wow, we may as well cancel the elections now, this guy's definitely got it in the bag!!

    Chuck Norris Endorses Mike Huckabee
    2007-10-22 19:53:01
Well, we might as well move on. The 2008 presidential election is over. Acting and martial arts dynamo (he sings too!) Chuck Norris has announced his endorsement of former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee. The endorsement all but guarantees that Huckabee will be the next president of the United State."Like most of you, over the summer and into the fall, I've been watching, listening, studying and praying about who could lead this country as our next president. Though Giuliani might be savvy enough to lead people, Fred Thompson wise enough to wade through the tides of politics, McCain tough enough to fight terrorism and Romney business-minded enough to grow our economy, I believe the only one who has all of the characteristics to lead America forward into the future is ex-Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee," Norris wrote. As far as we know, no other candidate has been endorsed by someone with the capability to perform multiple roundhouse kicks in show motion without messing up his or her hair. With Norris' support, look for Huckabee to wrap up the Republican nomination within the week and cruise to a general election victory next fall.ChuckNorris.comChuck Norris Facts

Quote of the Week from Mike Huckabee
    2007-09-04 08:24:00
"I am unapologetically a conservationist and believe that one of America's urgent crises is taking better care of our magnificent homeland and all its rich and varied beauty "from sea to shining sea." I do, however, see a distinction between being a "conservationist" and "environmentalist." A conservationist cares deeply about the environment and wishes to act as a responsible steward of it, yet recognizes that we may appropriately use renewable resources to sustain life. Environmentalists often feel that we are to have an almost equal respect and reverence for the created as for the Creator. We should worship the Creator, but respect and take care of that which is created."

Mike Huckabee could win the Republican nomination
    2007-08-12 16:12:13
It appears as though Mike Huckabee is rising in popularity. He made a strong showing in the Ames straw poll in Iowa. I’d definitely rather see his name on the ballot than Romney, McCain or Giuliani. My dream ticket would be Fred Thompson and Mike Huckabee. My friend Bob Hayton has a link to a [...]

Mike Huckabee's Position on "Don't Ask, Don't Tell"
    2007-06-13 23:51:00
BONUS ADDITION to Gays in the Military Series:The Huckabee campaign is the third campaign to respond to the question “What is your position on the “Don't ask, don't tell” policy? Should gays be allowed to serve openly in the military?”Here is his response:Thank you for writing me to ask about my position on this policy. I discussed this briefly along with other candidates in the debate, and I am happy to explain my position to you. I believe this policy works, and I don't think now is the time to change it, because our military commanders tell us it serves it's purpose in preventing the disturbances that occur when it is not adhered to. No member of our armed forces is allowed to behave or display personal characteristics in a way that complicates or interferes with unit function and unity. If our commanders say that this policy improves overall force performance by minimizing disturbances at the unit level then we should not change it, especially not in the middle of a war
