The Chicago Cubs won their 10,000 game in dramatic, come from behind fashion. Lou Piniella's crew took a 3-0 lead into the 6th inning behind a very good performance by Rich Hill. The Rockies scored 5 runs in the bottom of the inning with 3 of the runs coming off the first home run of the season by Troy Tulowitzki. Derrek Lee cut the Rockies lead to 5-4 in the 7th and Aramis Ramirez gave the Cubs the lead in the 9th with his 6th home run of the season....a 2-run shot to left.
Kerry Wood struck out the first two batters he faced in the bottom of the 9th but Scott Podsednik reached on a pinch-hit single to left center. Ryan Spilborghs tripled him home to tie the game. | | 100k Milestone | | 2008-01-08 16:05:38 | | Today, the A-Train Vlog crossed the 100,000 page-loads marker with over 44,500 unique visitors in 2007. The purpose of the vlog isn't to be commercially competitive with any other site, rather to be a resource to those interested in youth hockey as well as a fun tribute to my son and his teams. The growth of the vlog each year hasn't been remarkable by commercial standards, but it has been amazing to witness nonetheless. Writing the vlog has taught me so much about technology, parenting, teamwork, leadership, humility, and so many other things. Now that we've entered the final year of posting, it'll be interesting to see how it all ends. Thanks to those who have shown their support in writing and in person. Of the 1.047 million units sold around the world, 345,000 were sold in Japan and 702,000 throughout the rest of the world. Of the million units, the Prius accounted for 757,600 units. As Toyota aims to improve their hybrid systems, so is the global perception on rising fuel prices and climate changes. Toyota claims all of their vehicles will be hybrids by 2020.
