| | | "YouTube's Head of Monetization QUITS" - Can't bring in the numbers? | | 2008-06-05 23:58:51 | | This is news - "YouTube's Head of Monetization QUITS"
Previously there were discussions about Google experiencing some difficulties in making YouTube the money-making machine it should be. (It is making profit of course, but well... Not to the levels it really should be, which is kinda an issue for the big boys.)
Traffic may be incredibly high, and pageviews are much healthier than any other video sites, but it seems Google's prediction of making $200 million this year isn't quite what they were hoping for.
What happens next?

| Adsense Ready Blogger Templates For Monetization? | | 2008-05-25 21:54:00 | | After recently writing a post featuring many Adsense ready themes for Wordpress, and seeing the visitors for that post steadily increasing almost daily, I began to ponder about Adsense ready themes for Blogger. Well that pondering only lasted a short while because Blogger, unlike Wordpress, lacks the ability to just click and add an Adsense publishers ID in an options tab like that available to Wordpress. Any inclusion of Adsense in a Blogger theme would have to be done by hand by coding the xml document, or through the use of the layout section. Which is easily done, and any template for Blogger can be modified, but nonetheless modification would need to be done unlike those I wrote about for Wordpress where all a user had to do was insert their Adsense ID. Making it not viable to write a post about Adsense ready themes for Blogger. So then I decided that I would simply put together a modest list of sites that I have come across and that others have suggested for getting Blogger temp | | By: Blog Me The Money | | |
| | | 42 Adsense Ready Wordpress Themes Optimized For Monetization | | 2008-04-20 22:20:00 | | When planning and laying out your blog, it is important to think ahead, not only in terms of "look", "Feel", and "Seo Optimization", but also "Adsense Optimization". But I am sure you already know that, and so do the creators who dreamed up these themes and optimized them for you. The following themes offer distinctive ad placement spots that blend in well with the rest of the theme. Something I know many people look for and do.The creators of these themes also knew that effective placement of Google Adsense adverts (or any other contextual ads placement program for that matter) optimize your earning potential and help you the publisher to succeed. The creators also knew that publishers seek themes that increase click through rates as well as affiliate conversions.I know many readers right now, likely are wondering what makes these themes different from the other themes readily available elsewhere. Especially with all the plugins that one can get to insert Adverts and Affiliate ads o | | By: Blog Me The Money | | |

| PayPerPost - Easy Monetization | | 2008-02-19 21:05:00 | | I've heard many of my fellow blogging friends talk at length about PayPerPost.com. This website basically promises the ultimate dream of bloggers: get paid to blog. Of course most bloggers are out to monetize, there are some of us who aren't... but hey, I can't shy away from a couple bucks every now and then.I've only been a member for about a week; the buzz generated from all the blogs I regularly surf was too much to ignore any longer. So far I've been lurking around and checking out the interface and looking at what opportunities are usually available. While I'm not above writing a post that's sponsored, I'm also not interested in lying about a product or service that sucks to get paid.A girl has to have standards...So far in looking around, I have to say that it's a good site for a writer looking for some extra scratch who's willing to sacrifice some blog real estate for it. The interface is super easy to navigate. I hate to admit that I already had to contact Customer Servic | | By: Print This! | | |
| | Google Buys Feedburner for $100 Million: Expect more Monetization Options | | 2007-05-24 00:34:49 | | Copyright © Dosh Dosh (www.doshdosh.com) According to TechCrunch, Google has just acquired Feedburner, a web feed management company for $100 million. This was previously a rumor but now has been confirmed by Michael Arrington, who says that the deal mostly involves upfront cash payment by Google.
Interesting news for publishers currently running Feedburner’s advertising program because it’s likely that Google might integrate its Adsense contextual ad network with Feedburner.
Feedburner has a large inventory of publishers currently using their services and it would make sense for Google to tap these current users instead of relaunching or promoting Adsense for Feeds, Google’s RSS advertising program which has been in a perpetual closed beta since 2005.
Current Adsense publishers will also have the option of experimenting with feed based monetization. The integration with Adsense might also result in a lower barrier of entry (subscription level) for publishers.
