I thought for a moment there was hope, what with Wall E being such a fantastic film, but this movie has made me question whether Hollywood should be making movies at all.My problems with the movie after only watching about half and hour or so:What is with portraying the troops as these ill-prepared morons who can barely fire a gun, let alone show a little knowledge of military tactics, common unit placement, etc.? Our troops are not so stupid and I don't know why they have to be portrayed as such. Not to mention that the actors don't look like soldiers (even National Guard ones) and they don't act like soldiers either. The National Guard goes through training too. In Sepi, Baizura plays Imaan, a young playwriter who wrote PUISI SEPI, an emotional story about LOVE. Perhaps Baizura’s portrayal as the sensitive and art savvy Imaan, is similar to herself. Imaan was also a romantic and emotional person who would devote everything to the one she loves most. This was perfectly shown when Imaan recited the “Sepi” poetry. The reviews for his first rated-R film have been overwhelming negative on the critic's side and even worse on the public's side. Comments have ranged from supposed claims that this is an Intelligent Design movie in hiding or a poorly made film that doesn't give you any answers. I'm curious as to how many people actually watched this film and of those that watched, how many of them attempted to not have a bias of some sort. Jason Statham is cast in the role of the protagonist who is forced to race to stay out of a hellish prison.
Statham has made a career out of playing an expert car driver in B-grade films such as the Transporter series and The Italian Job. This makes him the ideal, if not so very surprising choice for the role.

| Asthma: My Movie Pet Peeve | | 2008-06-14 11:30:00 | | It might seem like an insignificant detail, but when people screw up characters with asthma it really ticks me off. Why? Because I have yet to see a movie in which someone uses an inhaler correctly and it's not that bloody hard to do it right. Trust me, I know because I use an inhaler. The problem with Hollywood is that they either just don't give a flying fig about getting health problems such as asthma--which is kind of a big deal, by the way, considering that about 31 million Americans have it (about 1/10th of us)--or they haven't clue how to do it because by some stroke of luck there are absolutely no actors, directors, set workers, etc. who have the condition. I find the latter part hard to believe, but at the same time it may very well be true because I think after seeing a scene done incorrectly ten, twenty, maybe thirty times in the same day, someone like me might raise a hand and go, "Excuse me, sir, but that's not right."How exactly do they screw up asthma?
