Critica: La Leyenda del Tesoro Perdido 2 ( National Treasure: The Book of Secrets)
    2008-07-02 00:00:00

Map of the northern part of Borneo (Sabah, Sarawak, East-Kalimantan) Justly celebrated as a biological paradise, Kakaban Island (Pulau Kakaban) is a truly awe-inspiring place. Part of the Kepulauan Sangalaki Marine Wildlife Reserve off the coast of East Kalimantan, Kakaban is a coral atoll that was uplifted by geological forces thousands of years ago, turning the lagoon into a land-locked lake.

National Treasure: Book of Secrets (2007)
    2008-03-05 21:25:21
I suppose that if there is a good formula for a popular film, that formula will be exploited, for if there is an incarnation of the expression, “Capitalist Roader,” surely it is Hollywood. I believe that this film has a pretty good formula. Everyone of these films that I’ve seen looked good. The director, Mr. Turteltaub, [...]

Movie review : National Treasure Book of Secrets
    2008-02-01 05:28:38
I’d say that I prefer the first one. But this second one still got the power and speed of the first series. Treasure hunter Benjamin Franklin Gates (Cage) looks to discover the truth behind the assassination of Abraham Lincoln, by uncovering the mystery within the 18 pages missing from assassin John Wilkes Booth’s diary. The thing that [...]

My Treasure compared to the National Treasure
    2008-01-09 08:43:34
My treasure is something treasure hunters might find useless and that it may not be as important as that of National Treasure. Nonetheless, it's worth is more than the just mentioned. It is nothing but JoanJoyce's award for me that my blog is a treasure. She said there in the post that my blog is worth a read. Aww. It fattens my heart. I didn't know someone appreciates my blog that much. It just [[ This is a content summary only. Visit my website for full links, other content, and more! ]]

Fletch's Film Review: National Treasure: Book of Secrets
    2008-01-02 07:36:00
It was New Year's Eve. We wanted to see a movie, but neither Charlie Wilson's War (too...plastic?) nor The Kite Runner (too depressing) seemed like good choices. We wanted to see something silly and dumb, it being a festive night and all. First, we decided to see AVP-R, having thought the first one was decent enough, but after skimming some reviews, we decided against it. The only logical choice left? You guessed it - we would become part of the problem, supporting an evil Nic Cage vehicle.I didn't feel too bad, though; after all, you know what they say about keeping your enemies closer and all that. And I'd done a lot of that recently, having caught bits and pieces of The Wicker Man on cable over the past few weeks. Let me tell you (spoiler!), it's devilish fun watching him do the slow burn then get slowly burned - if only every performance ended that way. But then...Sweet, sweet redemption! We buy our tickets, get our drinks and popcorn, then head to the theater. Wait a sec - theater number six? That's showing P.S, I Love You! National Treasure is playing in theater number one. [Look at our tickets again.] The tickets are indeed for P.S., I Love You. That means that the dude that sold us our tickets pressed the wrong button. That means we didn't support the enemy! Sit on that, Cage!Oh yeah - the film review. Well, it's not like it deserves much analysis. It's enjoyably stupid, much like Transformers was, but you're liable to hurt your brain if you think too much about it. It's actually (wait for it) better than I thought it would be, and in many ways, better than the first movie. Unlike many (stupid) sequels, it doesn't try to wildly outdo itself with more chases or bigger smashes - it relies on its story and characters to keep its appeal. That said, it's more or less the exact same movie over again - and it's not like the first one was all that great to begin with. Sure, treasure hunts are fun, but with so little unchanged, the only reason to see th

    National Treasure 3
    2007-12-30 07:33:00
National Treasure was never intended to be a franchise. When the first installment did well, the filmmakers started from scratch to come up with a sequel. This time, though, they built in a potential part three. National Treasure: Book of Secrets mentions the mysterious page 47 of the president's secret book, which could be whatever they decide it should be in National Treasure 3.Star Nicolas Cage gave the screenwriters a lot to live up to with one simple improvisation. "The way we left the movie, the President asked Ben, 'What's on page 47?'" Cage said. "I wanted to figure out what I could say that would really make people interested in what's on page 47 without saying it, so I thought of the words 'life altering.' Whatever it is, it's going to have to be life-altering."Director Jon Turteltaub is not holding himself to the page 47 idea. "We can always tell people that's the fourth movie," he said. "That doesn't work. I've actually seen movies that seem like they're setting up for the sequel and that wasn't the sequel."Even producer Jerry Bruckheimer said that the mention of page 47 is as far as development on National Treasure 3 has gotten. "The writers might know, but I don't know," he said. "And they're not going to tell me now because they're on strike."Still, Cage already has ideas. "I believe that it should become more and more International Treasure," he said. "I was very happy to see that we went to London, England and Paris, France, but I'd like to see the movie go wider still. I'd like to go into Africa, Egypt, Asia, and keep going. My hope is that Ben is recruited and he gets a dossier from these other countries about their history, and has to download it and learn it, and then try to go on these hunts on their behalf. That would be a lot of fun for me."

Mercedes-Benz 2008 C-Class Stars in Exhilarating Chase Scene in Disney's NATIONAL TREASURE: BOOK OF SECRETS
    2007-12-10 20:50:48
Nicolas Cage’s National Treasure movie featured several American Historical things and places, and now in its sequel, National Treasure: Book of Secrets, Benjamin Franklin Gates explores London riding the equally adventurous Mercedes Benz C-Class. If you think the Buckingham Palace and the Southwark Bridge are already London’s greatest contribution to the film, you are definitely mistaken. These majestic landmarks are only used as props for the film’s daredevil chase, and it's what you wil

Ego Brained Ben Gates in National Treasure Movie

Riley Poole (Justin Bartha) is always surprised how the lead actor is one step in front of him with answers concerning history in the National Treasure (2004) movie. Finally, they found a historical 3D glass that promises to lead them to the treasure by reading a multi layered map behind the declaration of independence. They almost [...]

Riley Finally Contributes to Clue Solving in National Treasure Movie
    2007-11-28 10:35:26
An example of Riley’s contribution to clue solving is when he mentions about daylight savings time & of course when finding the treasure. It is to be Riley Poole (Justin Bartha) as the catalyst because no other character among the four was least in tune to finding the treasure. He is more often than not clueless about history & how it all ties together in a world of riddles & secret images. Yet he may or may not realize [...]

The Real Star of National Treasure Movie
    2007-11-23 13:31:35
Patrick Gates (Jon Voight) recommends heat to help uncover the hidden clues behind the Declaration of Independence. It seems to me now that the real star of the National Treasure movie is not Nicholas Cage’s character but Jon Voight’s. The National Treasure movie showcases Patrick Gates’s struggle to find peace with his father, his ancestry, [...]

    Caption Contest: National Treasure
    2007-11-16 09:15:00
Lately I feel like I should have the phrase "Sorry, I've been really busy" automatically prepended to the body of all my emails. I forgot how time-consuming this whole employment thing is. How the heck do you people get anything important done when you're working all day?Anyway, sorry about not replying to comments and not making my blog visiting rounds. I'm hoping things will normalize a bit in the next week or so.In any case, at least I haven't been too busy to do the really important things, like photoshop myself into a scene with Nicholas Cage in National Treasure. You know the drill. Submit your captions in the comments. Mrs. Diesel and I will pick our favorites and I'll post a poll with the top ten on Tuesday.Have fun!Listed on humor-blogs.com.
