New Blog Launched! : News, Views, Thrills & Spills
    2008-07-17 09:19:04
I am delighted to announce the launch of my new Blog - News, Views, Thrills & Spills. This will be exclusively for non personal posts while 'Tails of Terror' will be retained for personal postings. Old non personal postings have now been removed from this blog, but are now available on the new one. Please visit my new neighbourhood. Hope to see you there soon :-)This has been an interesting experience as when I made the decision to split off the non personal stuff I thought I would try a Wordpress.com hosted blog. I transferred all the old posts from Blogger ok, but when I started building the page I realised just how restricting Wordpress is, particularly with what you can put on the sidebar. So I made the decision to start another on Blogger and have now transferred back all the posts that I'd put on Wordpress to the new News, Views, Thrills & Spills blog which is now up and running. I then made the mistake of thinking that as I liked the new template so much I'd use it for this blog

    New Blog Layout
    2008-05-17 08:50:54
I hope I am not being presumptuous in hoping that some readers have noticed that I have changed the layout of this blog. It is actually a pretty dramatic change, so I am wondering what people think of the new design. It wasn't done lightly, and it has taken days to feel happy with it.I really enjoyed the old template, but was actually having some technical problems with it, and not being a technical person, it was a little scary to think that the whole thing could blow up in my face without me really understanding why. Lucky for me, I have some great, supportive people who have helped me through this. The experience has forced me to learn a little about HTML and other nerdy things which I hadn't even heard of eight months ago. This new design has a lot more functionality for me and I will enjoy tweaking it a little over the next few weeks. But the most important thing is that you enjoy reading it. Please let me know what you think...is it easy to read? Is it quick to load? Is the

10 tips to drive massive traffic to a new blog
    2008-04-11 14:23:00
I have a process that I go through when setting up a new blog.  I tried to get it all down on paper, but there are so many things.  Here are 10 of the things I do...  Write your blog posts as if they were articles, then post them to article directories:  This can drive a lot of traffic and can also get your work out to the public because your articles will be used as content on multiple blogs...all linking back to you. Social bookmark your posts.  SocialPoster.com is the best tool for doing this that I've come across. List your blog in blog and site directories. Add your blog to DMOZ.org, which is syndicated on quite a lot of sites. Comment on other people's blogs. Join social networks, like Facebook, Friendster, MySpace, etc...  #2 will drive this one because, most of the time, you have to be a member in order to post links on these sites. Set up your RSS feed in FeedBurner. Answer questions on Yahoo and Link

    Another new blog
    2008-04-10 14:36:00
Ah, it seems I'm starting new blogs pretty often nowadays (even though it's only my second one). This time it's closer to the topic of Andrew Owns Agloco (making money online), but much more specific. Squidoography is my new blog dedicated to Squidoo social network that lets you build small, simple web pages on a specific topic, and make money from them. The idea is great: just write about anything you like (everyone's an expert on something, right?) and get paid for the visitors you get and the sales that your lens (that's what they call the pages on Squidoo) generates. With Squidoography, I will be tracking my progress by posting my monthly payouts, as well as sharing interesting ideas and reviewing my own and other interesting lenses. If you are interested in making money by writing about topics you like, or getting more visitors for your own blog or website, consider joining Squidoo. I believe I already had mentioned this project a number of times on AoA, which just proves how much

I have just started a new blog on family history called Family History for Beginners which I am very excited about. Genealogy and family history is my main interest and I have been doing it for about 10 years. This site is my attempt at providing the information I would have liked to find when I first started. I have tried to make it as easy to understand as possible and will be adding regularly to it with a lot more information. Please check it out and and let me know what you think.

    My new blog
    2008-04-04 07:05:00
I'm glad to say that after a long period of inactivity in this area, I finally started a new weblog! Following the 'blog about something you like idea', I thought, why not write about the MMORPG I'm looking forward to playing? Thus, my brand new Age of Conan blog was born. It is hosted by Blogger too, since I don't want to worry about server costs right now - only to post some of my thoughts about the upcoming game. Even if my new blog has a completely different topic from this one, I think several months of writing to Andrew Owns Agloco was a great and educating experience (seeing how this was my first blog ever). Hopefully the things I learned will help me with AoCBlog too.I suppose I should tell you more about the game, too. Or not. You can find out everything if you just go to my blog, or even better, the official site for Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures. Suffice to say, it's one of the most anticipated games in 2008 and the first one of the big three MMORPGs coming out this year

My new blog design that I've made....
    2008-03-28 01:24:00
I'm so exhausted today, but proud of myself I made my own template..hahaha...Well the xml code came from finalsense, but I change some of the original codes and enhance my designed using Adobe Photoshop CS3. Honestly I don't know how to used Photoshop CS3 before and until know I'm still learning on it ("Thanks to my two designer friends Richard("the one who made my header in my old blog designed") and Fafa Ariel ("the one who made my friensdster header"), "thank you guys...I've learn a lot, now Cinderella will not bothering you anymore..hahaha"I decided to change my blog designed for three reason. First I don't like the designed of my old blog cause when I made it I'm so depressed at the time (emo2x thing). Second I'm sick and tired of the of the designed,it doesn't reflect the real me..."A girl that is bubbly and enthusiastic, even sometimes she's crying over spilled milk when life turns her down".Third I want to look my blog that is full of life, even some of my post is still in emo.M

    A New Blog Design Again!
    2008-03-25 08:00:00
Hello readers! How do you like my new blog design? I've been aching for a fresh new look for some time now but I guess I was a little too lazy to get a new one. Partly also because I haven't really found a cool new one. By chance, I found a cool WordPress theme template from a cool designer who was kind enough to provide his well-thought creations for free.I've always wanted a WordPress-look blog since I started. I even played around with the actual free WordPress template but I got turned-off by the intricacies of the whole deal. The back-end was a little too complicated to figure out. I like simple and easy blogging. I also like the fact that my previous modified blogger template was versatile enough for me to move stuff around my blog. That's the reason I stuck with my old design. This new WP-theme blog design, however, was the answer for all my needs. It had this new cool wide professional looking design I've been looking for. It has light colors for easy reading. The style gets rid

    New Blog Idea!
    2008-02-24 00:25:00
I have this new idea for a new blog I want to create. Question is, should I do it anonymously? It's going to be a bit unwholesome, but it will frame the unwholesomeness of others, not of me. Maybe it's a mistake, I don't know.. The inspiration for this idea comes from my frequent visits to portable jobsite toilets. "Oh no! Not another 'Rate My Poo' site!" (Google that, I DARE you) What am I even talking about? I'm not really sure yet myself. I could just populate THIS blog with the materials I'm referring to.. Would that be better? Isn't the suspense just killing you? I didn't think so.

NEW BLOG COMMUNITIES to Promote Your Design Blog Topic
    2008-02-15 17:59:05
There are so many ways to promote your design blog niche. If you're still doing promotion to some specific design forums, there's nothing wrong to try general blog community for more campaign activity to your blog. A general blog community should always include design category or art category inside. Accordingly, there would be easier for the viewers to find your blog inside the community. Here are 8 new blog communities for you to start with:1. Blog CompetitionBlogCompetition is a digg like comp

20 Tips to Promote Your New Blog
    2008-02-06 14:06:26
    1. Make it possible for your readers to subscribe to your RSS feed. A good place to sign up is with the popular FeedBurner. Place the RSS feed button in a highly visible place, preferably at the top of your page. If you want to show off how many readers you have, wait until you have 50+. Experiments have shown that people don't sign up to blogs with few RSS readers!2. Ping your blog as often as possible!3. Sign up with Technorati, and start making friends with other users. This will help you to get a higher authority and more readers to your blog.4. Submit your blog to as many directories as possible. BlogCatalog and MyBlogLog are both great places for this.5. Join forums related to your niche, and add your link in forum signatures. (Do NOT spam, it has no good effect whatsoever)6. Add your quality posts to social bookmarking sites as Reddit, Del.icio.us and Digg. If you reach the top, you will recieve massive amounts of traffic!7. When to Start a New Blog
    2008-01-25 20:55:00
I was reading a post over on the A4U Forum today about when the best time to launch a new site is. Perhaps the immediate answer that comes to mind is "when it's ready" but I don't think it's that simple.Obviously, you want the search engines to index your site as quickly as possible but you also don't want people visiting and being put off by incomplete content before it's ready. Plus you don't want to upload a site with a load of dead end links. This is why I always try an adopt a "stages stratergy" when I'm uploading new sites. What I mean by this is that I'll always split parts of the site up so that they can be published independantly of other sections, as this way you can get some inbound links and keep adding more content gradually.

New Blog Entry From Lifehouse's Jason
    2007-09-10 04:11:35
I'm going on day six of being home, and don't get me wrong the down time is great, but after about seven days I start to miss playing. Luckily we have the LA county fair to look forward to next week. This is the second time playing that fair and it is always a blast. I think that it's the only fair where you can actually get a low-carb cotton candy ( everyone here is so calorie conscious). I don't eat alot of cotton candy, but if I'm going to the fair I'm goin' big and getting a real genuine cotton candy, and a big fat turkey leg! Anyways it's always nice playing in your home town. All your old friends get to come out to the show, you get to see your family, and occasionally you see someone that you met once, but they claim you were best friends in second grade. That's when you do the old "half hug, great to see ya, would you like the rest of my turkey leg?"On another note, it was great hangin' out with Ricky yesterday. I'm sure somebody out there is curious about me and Ric

This isn't as good as when we saw "The Rosebud 5" on a marqee at Spaceland Ballroom in LA where we played that night with "Porstastatic." Hanging with Marc Crifasi in Atlanta. We have Grey Goose left over from the other night when somebody thought it would be a good idea to give us a half gallon. It's my favorite, but a half gallon? Whew. And you can't just leave a half gallon like that behind so we brought it with us. I explained that we've been working really hard to drink it the last couple days. Marc said, "Work huh?" Yeah Marc, it's work but luckily we are really dedicated to what we do, so...*§ource: The Rosebuds' blog*

This is an opportunity for those investors and people dealing business in the stock market. It is a software that tells about the ins and out of what happens in the stock market. It is a software called Wizetrade that will help you conduct stock market analysis and quickly chart potential entry and exit signals on any stock symbol. Now, if you are interested, why not see about it. It might help you tremendously, since it will make you figure out about the signals and analysis. I think it is worth looking in to if you want to improve your stock market trading.

New Blog? How To Keep Readers Guessing!
    2007-07-04 16:56:00
Blogs are not like shampoos or perfumes that can be launched with a tag like 'New & Improved'. (I find this term quite misleading - how can a product that is 'new' can be an 'improved version'?) Blogs are blogs and there is no such term as 'improved blog'.It takes time for a new blog to acquire a respectable position in the blogosphere - no matter who it's author is. For a new blog, I strongly suggest to turn off features that reveal that the blog is new. I'm listing below some useful tips for newly launched blogs that will help you (of course if you have a new blog) to avoid creating an impression of being new and inexperienced.Switch off Article Count - If you have over 10 categories in your blog and no more than 50 articles, then it is obvious that each category will display a small number like (1), (2), or (5). Leaving it on will make the impression that the blog does not contain enough material to keep the reader hooked. Turning it off will make the reader keep guessing

Four Reasons to Write Extraordinary Articles when You’re Starting a New Blog
    2007-06-13 17:43:51
Copyright © Dosh Dosh (http://www.doshdosh.com) The weeks or months after the successful launch of a new blog is fairly important. While it isn’t exactly a make-or-break situation, you do stand a better chance of getting more readers or feed subscribers if you create outstanding content and market it effectively. Here’s a scenario that many of you have encountered: You’ve just set up a new blog and picked a brilliant site design. You decide to write several articles to fatten up the blog so you can start promoting it to others. What type of content should you create? I’ve recently received an email from Jonathan Fields, a Dosh Dosh reader and he asked me a great question concerning the type of blog posts he should put out for some of his new blogs. His question in full: I am about to launch a few new blogs and will be putting together a number of big pillar posts and series posts. Do you think it’s a better idea to publish them right away or hold your be

My New Blog Category Series: About Me
    2007-06-10 05:35:09
The photo in this entry is Madness. Photographed and edited by me, Lynda Walldez. I recently got inspired to start a series of posts which will also have its own category, About Me. Each post will contain results of quizzes, polls, or surveys I take that give some information about me. I used to do these a lot when I was very active on MySpace. Instead of posting on a regular basis for this category, I'm going to make it interesting by posting spontaneously. The point is to familiarize my readers about who I am. So to begin, here's my first quiz: I Am 8% Girly Um... you're a guy, right? If not, you're the most boyish girl in the world. And for you, that's probably the ultimate compliment. Gee, I was kind of surprised by the results, but then again I am quite boyish. I grew up being a tomboy, go figure. Although, the questions in this quiz were totally cliche girly stuff. I got an 8% because I only selected one of the things that girls do; read gossip magazines. Pffft! If yo

My new blog is up and running...
    2007-05-28 21:52:00
At last, I am done with making my new blog, hopefully it will get that page rank I am looking for. I can't wait. Anyway, I am making 2 post in between of my blogitive posts. My, that is such a hassle, to put in 2 regular posts in between. They just want us to work so hard, though they pay half as cheap as the others. However, I have to do what I have to do, to make extra bucks.

My new blog is coming along well...
    2007-05-22 19:04:00
Hi everyone, I recently created a new blgo where I can have my daily musing, and hopefully, in time, I will get a high page rank, so I can also used it for my paid blogging. However, at first I will fill it up with the posts I losts before. I want one of my blogs to have all the info about my family and me. With this blog here, I will just use this for my extra online activities like like paid blogging. Oh, when can I possibly have a PR on here? It's been too long, and still 0. It's irritating. Anyway, so much for this blog, but I hang on to it just for my paid blogging.

A New Blog On My Link List
    2007-05-08 12:52:00
And it's called "Red Sox Yesteryear." In blogwriter John's own words........"I've been working feverishly to put together a "this day in Red Sox history blog." Each day I will post a new bit of information about the Red Sox. Here's an example from my blog..... "Its time for spring training in 1936 and it is reported in The Sporting News Red Sox players are not permitted to bring their cars to spring training." Little interesting Red Sox facts will be posted for the most part daily."Peter here, and Red Sox Yesteryear is on my link list, on the right side of this page. Or you can click on this post's title. But that's for this post only. In the future, just go to my link list. I know I'm going to check there every day. Good work John!

    2007-02-07 07:43:00
Hi!This is a new blog so please be gentle . I made this blog out of boredom. I want to do something where I be able to express my thoughts and earn money at the same time . I know, I know why not use a personal diary, where you need to hand write everything. Well you see, ever since computers had been invented, the term handwriting is almost extinct in my dictionary . I only use my hand and pen when I need to sign my signature or fill-up some form. Talk about laziness .Oh well, thats me. By the way, I mentioned earning money using my blog. If any of you guys looking for someone to submit your site to thousand of links on the net, I could help you. Let me do the work for you. I don't use any software. It will be manual submission. I will submit your site on the net and help you gain your ranking. This is not a joke, I am serious. For a fee of course, but mine is cheaper. If any of you interested post a comment. I will give you the details.I am still on the verge of making my website

A new blog for the new year: "African Path" launches, giving serious news and comment on Africa
    2007-01-09 07:18:00
New "African Path" blogThe African Path web site has launched. African Path is created to fill a void in the marketplace for a strong Pan-African web site where news content and blogging can be merged into a unified voice. A lot of African bloggers are discussing issues relevant to the continent but online exposure to these blogs is limited. African Path aims to provide this much needed exposure. We aim to fill the void left by big media in covering information on Africa and providing a forum in which Africans can discuss issues concerning themselves both within and outside the continent. The African Path website features news headlines from global and major African media houses, an ever growing group of bloggers covering various topics and an interactive calendar for events taking place in different cities worldwide.Topics featured on the site include current events, politics, technology, religion, music, entertainment, sports, health, human rights, AIDS, democracy and much more. The site will share experiences inherently African from daily accounts of people within the continent, Africans in the Diaspora and foreigners who have visited Africa. The site will promote dialogue on issues being discussed and encourage the participation of all site users through comments, letters to the editor, and new blogger recruitment. Special programs will be created to promote dialogue and exposure of work on the continent conducted by human rights groups and not-for-profit organizations aiming to provide solutions to improve living standards, health, technology, leadership or education.

New blog, "Burundi Youth", gives eyewitness testimonies from the 1993 crisis
    2006-12-02 06:44:00
From Désiré Katihabwa, Burundi Youth Blog"...I will never forget how I walked down to the Presidential Palace, on the morning of 21 October 1993, where President Melchior Ndadaye resided. The palace had been surrounded by obvious Military soldiers, they were drinking beers and they looked very happy. You could see where Military tanks had broken into the palace, this was terrifying to me that such things could happen in the capital of Burundi.Tutsi were rejoicing that they killed President Ndadaye, when a Neighbour of mine, whose Father had been accused of the Military plot, then said:"You shouldn't be laughing because there will be consequences in the villages where Tutsi might be killed"What my Neighbour said, became reality, he lost his Brother, who was in boarding school, in Kibimba. My Dad's sister, almost lost her life in the same school, she managed to survive the massacres. When I asked her about my friend Willy, our Neighbour's brother, she immediately remembered about him as he was a very tall Young Man and very huge, she said to me that he was the first one to be picked by the Headmaster of the school,at Kibimba school, many students were burnt alive, chopped in pieces by machetes. I did not want to know any more details, the reality of war and genocide was beginning to get deep in my heart. My friend Willy, I think was 17 years old at the time. People said that he was found reduced in pieces by machetes. The same night of 20-21 October 1993, my Dad lost many of his family, who were butchered, my Grand-Father, Dad's father, managed to hide in the river. My Family was heavily involved in the political affairs of Burundi, from Army Generals, Colonel Pascal Simbanduku, to Prime Minister Antoine Nduwayo, to those accused of the Military coup of 1993, Lieutenant Jean-Paul Kamana.During the political crisis of Burundi, many young people, both Hutu and Tutsi, were used and manipulated, I can testify as Political Party Leaders tried to seduce my mind to join mi
